16/06/2026: We visited Osteria Senza Fretta for the first time last night, and what a wonderful experience it was. The restaurant truly lives up to its name. For the first time in ages, my wife and I didn't feel rushed while dining. The service was impeccable and flawless from start to finish, with excellent attention to detail in every dish that was served. It felt almost dreamlike, enjoying beautifully prepared fresh food while listening to the gentle sound of the fountain and classical music in the background. The atmosphere was incredibly relaxing and elegant. What impressed us even more was seeing the head chef personally come out to serve some of the dishes. Such humility is rare to find. The lady head chef has created some truly outstanding dishes, full of creativity and flavour. Our waiter was excellent as well, providing attentive service throughout the evening. His knowledge of the English language was greatly appreciated and made the experience even more enjoyable. 10/06/2026: Osteria Senza Fretta is one of those places where you immediately feel at home as soon as you walk in. We were guests for dinner. The location is elegant and understated. But what is most striking is the courtesy, the welcome, and the quality of the cuisine. Passion and professionalism shine through in the management and customer service. All this, with excellent value for money. Keep up the good work.

29/04/2026: I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant, and the experience was truly memorable, especially for seafood lovers. I started with a selection of the highest-quality raw fish: Sicilian purple shrimp, scampi, and the freshest sea urchins, with an intense yet delicate flavor. The care taken in selecting the ingredients was clearly evident. Among the hot dishes, the fried anchovies were perfect: crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, light and not at all greasy. The real star, however, was the baked turbot served on a bed of sweet potato. A surprising, well-balanced dish, where the flavors blended creatively without overpowering the quality of the fish. To finish on a sweet note, a dessert accompanied by passito wine and coffee, the perfect way to end the dinner. Overall, refined yet authentic cuisine, showcasing the seafood with technique and imagination. A highly recommended experience.

03/07/2026: I ate at this pizzeria on the Sempione Pass, and I have to say I didn't enjoy it. I ordered a mixed fried fish, and when it was brought to my table, I looked at the waiter, thinking it was a joke. Something like 10 or 15 small pieces of fried fish (€20), which were good, but a portion too small to be true. As for the pizzas, my Novarese was good, but nothing more than a standard Zola pizza with spicy salami (€12). The mortadella (€14) had slices spread all over the pizza and was anything but flavorful. In my opinion, it was unpresentable. I ate bread and breadsticks to fill up, and spent a whopping €60 for two, drinking water. When you leave a restaurant and go to McDonald's to eat, to fill up, there's something wrong.

12/08/2026: A must-see in Turin: La Taverna dei Mercanti. Make a reservation, it's always packed. Warm atmosphere, two well-appointed rooms, perfect lighting, and super friendly, professional, and friendly service. The food is plentiful and delicious: top-notch pasta dishes, incredible meats with a Robespierre sauce that's hard to find anywhere else, and a vegetable and porcini mushroom flan when in season. Finish with the panna cotta: it's unrivaled. 10/10 evening ❤️

The tasting menu was interesting and enjoyable, with balanced pairings and some truly unique dishes. The presentation of the dishes was also impeccable. What made everything even more special was the location: a spectacular view of the hills and vineyards, which at sunset creates a simply fantastic atmosphere. Attentive service and an elegant, yet not overly formal, atmosphere. A place I would gladly return to, especially to enjoy the cuisine and that view at sunset. A highly recommended experience. 16/07/2026: Lunch for four, Sunday, June 21, 2026. Two of us had already been there (well), a few years ago, and now four of us are back. We opted for the à la carte menu, accompanied by a bottle of wine chosen from the extensive wine list. After a complimentary Russian salad, we started with an excellent veal with tuna sauce, a delicious Monferrina, and an excellent zucchini flan with pecorino fondue. Followed by two Monastero agnolotti, a classic Rabaton, and a squid ink ravioli with shrimp. Then a grilled sliced ​​steak. For dessert, three delicious Lu IGP hazelnut cakes with vanilla ice cream and a fantastic tiramisu with a liquid heart covered in dark chocolate. The place is welcoming and beautiful, the noise level was normal even though all the seats were occupied. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and even quick to serve. We will definitely be back.

17/08/2026: A unique experience in Roddino. Gemma confirms itself, in my humble opinion, as a typical Piedmontese trattoria with TOP home-cooked cuisine. Sure, it's a bit tricky to book, but that makes it even more refined and magical. Gemma wanders the tables; all the staff are fantastic and polite. I chatted with her son, who runs the house, and he gave me a couple of tips to make booking easier; I'll write them at the bottom of the review. Classic Piedmontese appetizers, welcome salami, Russian salad (just like in the old days), amazing raw meat, and the ORIGINAL veal with tuna sauce! Tasty sauce, and topside made strictly in-house. Let's move on to the first course tasting: the unmissable tajarin with ragù and plin with butter. Then we move on to the second course: stewed rabbit, roast rabbit, and baked potatoes. Want more? Don't be afraid to ask, we'll bring it to you! Tasting of 3 desserts: Panna cotta (homemade) Bunet (rustic, just the way I like it) Meringata (very good) Grappa and coffee to finish it all off. Wine from the amazing house, a Dolcetto perfect for the meal. Price? €37 set menu + €3 wine. Reservations: 1) Get on the waiting list on Wednesday or Thursday for the Saturday or Sunday of the same week. Many people cancel, so you'll be among the first in line and more likely to be called. (Or call directly.) 2) Call the same day, as you're more likely to find a spot earlier.

01/08/2026: A pleasant discovery! We're staying nearby for the weekend and were intrigued by the menu and reviews. What can I say, it lived up to our expectations! Very tasty traditional food, impeccable service! The gentleman who lists the menu is old-fashionedly kind, as are the waiters. At the end of the meal, they also offer a complimentary small chocolate parfait, a bitter, and a cigar if desired. Prices are in line with the service; we had a great time! The only downside is that the panoramic terrace isn't very airy and it's a bit warm, but the view makes up for it. Highly recommended!!!

15/05/2026: A lovely restaurant with a fantastic view of the lake. The staff is partly multilingual and easily manages the flow of customers, even when the restaurant is busy. The food is expertly prepared. Even those with hearty appetites will be satisfied, as the portions are generous. There's also a small but excellent wine list with very fair prices. It's no longer a hidden gem, but its value for money is still virtually unbeatable in this area. We're looking forward to our next visit.
