The restaurant immediately strikes you with its refined and elegant atmosphere, perfect for both a special dinner and a relaxing gastronomic experience. The cuisine offers great Piedmontese classics prepared with precision and respect for tradition: well-balanced dishes, presented elegantly and never overdone. The wine selection is also excellent, with labels that perfectly complement each course and showcase the local flavors. The prices are fully in line with the overall quality of the experience. The only drawback: the service, which is a bit too slow and could be improved to make everything truly impeccable. Special mention goes to the panna cotta: simply exceptional, one of the best I've ever tasted. Overall, a restaurant that perfectly expresses Piedmontese tradition, with some room for improvement in the pace of service.

17/05/2026: The interior is average, but the panoramic view from the windows is truly beautiful; this is probably the restaurant's strong point. The food is very good and high-quality, but the portions are RIDICULOUS, with exorbitant prices. They're portions worthy of a Michelin-starred restaurant, large plates, with very little inside—just look at the photos. The cover charge, water charge, and coffee charge are ridiculous; I can understand the price of wine, but hey... water is water, and so is coffee. The wait times are incredibly long; if you're looking to spend a Sunday afternoon, then it's fine: for three courses (appetizer, first course, dessert, and coffee), it took us three and a half hours—the kind of meal for a special occasion. There's parking, but it fills up quickly on Sundays, so they either make you double-park or park on the dirt road leading to the restaurant. €70 per person.

14/05/2026: Simply a perfect experience! La Locanda in Cannubi is a gem in the heart of the Barolo vineyards. The food is extraordinary: traditional Piedmontese dishes prepared with great care and using excellent ingredients. The wine list is incredible, featuring local wines and truly refined selections. The welcome is warm from the first moment, and the staff is professional, attentive, and always smiling. The service is impeccable without ever being intrusive. A magical place where quality, scenery, and hospitality blend perfectly. Highly recommended!

This place is very charming due to its small courtyard, where you can eat al fresco, nestled among the narrow streets of medieval Turin. The food is good and unusual (if there is anything unusual anymore), in that the variety of soups, salads, and savory pies, as well as pizza, make it "uncommon." There's no table service, but everything you need is there to make you feel comfortable. Suitable for a simple meal or a relaxing evening. Excellent value! Location: Very captivating setting, from romantic to traditional.

11/05/2026: Terrible service, mediocre food. A very inexperienced server took our order. The wine was forgotten, and the bagna cauda on the pepperoni were scoops the size and consistency of ice cream. The foreign object (hard plastic or stone) found in the asparagus was ignored after our complaint, simply swept under the rug... Very cold payment and an unfriendly farewell. Never again Osteria Umberto!

The lavender flavor paired well without being too overpowering. The veal with tuna sauce was also delicious. The restaurant is well-maintained, and the waitresses are very kind and attentive.

This isn't the typical experience built for show: here, there's substance, identity, and true quality. A place worth experiencing and, above all, remembering. Truly, well done.

08/04/2026: Debora Alberto 1/5 14 minutes ago on Google Debora Alberto 1/5 right now on Google I don't usually like to give negative reviews, but in this case it's absolutely necessary, firstly because of the room management's attitude and secondly because of a whole other set of standards that a 4-star hotel should have, but in this place they aren't even close to meeting them. 1. Safety: steep stairs without a handrail to reach the "suite"; 2. "Suite" with lots of quotation marks; a hole in the parquet floor and up to that point; stained sheets that were changed by the receptionist upon request; and well, poor attention to detail in general. What shocked us was that the next morning a light bulb hanging at head height exploded, having accidentally knocked it directly onto the bed in my partner's face. The staff was unable to handle the situation; they seemed confused and annoyed. Furthermore, they didn't offer a refund for the "suite room," etc. They even reported to "Booking," the booking site, that we didn't show up to avoid a negative review. Truly, truly horrible behavior. We will never return!!! It's not a 4-star hotel; in the morning, they arrive at breakfast with sugar packets counted. Given its location, it could even be a nice place, but the amenities are lacking, and the security and staff are incompetent!!! Rating: 0!!

08/03/2026: A splendid and impeccably maintained location; unfortunately, the cuisine still needs some improvement to fully live up to the setting. The initial wait was a bit long, but overall bearable: the location and the view help you enjoy the moment. Expectations were high, especially since it's a place we'd love to return to. A few small adjustments to the dishes would be advisable: • Octopus alla Luciana: tender and flavorful, but slightly dry and cut with a knife not exactly suited to the task; • Tagliolini with cacio e pepe and mussels: tasty, but these also arrived a bit dry. An interesting note about the bread: we were told "we'll bring you some warm bread soon"... we expected it to be freshly baked, but instead it was lukewarm but cold in the middle—hard to understand why. The portions were still good, and the dishes were tasty overall. The unsolicited discount at the end was appreciated. Overall, a positive experience: we'll be back.
