Scannabue Caffe Restaurant In Torino

​An exceptional dining experience that masterfully showcases traditional Piedmontese cuisine. Scannabue is undoubtedly a must-visit in Turin. ​The menu is outstanding from start to finish. The '2008' Vitello Tonnato was perfectly balanced, followed by superb Agnolotti del Plin elevated by the wonderfully rich Beurre de Bresse. The Braised Beef Cheek in Barbera was a standout—meltingly tender, deeply flavourful, and beautifully presented on mountain mashed potatoes. ​A particular highlight is their excellent and reasonably priced selection of wines by the glass. This allowed for flawless pairings throughout the meal: a structured Timorasso (Derthona) to start, an elegant Nebbiolo for the pasta, and a robust Barolo to complement the braised meat. ​Professional service, a welcoming atmosphere, and brilliant value for the quality of ingredients provided. Highly recommended.

As for the food, it is of quite good quality, the service is impeccable and the atmosphere is calm despite being quite crowded. On the other hand, when I looked at the daily menu, I found it to be good, with correct options to choose from, but small quantities for my taste. It is the detail that was missing for me to make it completely round.

Typical Piedmontese restaurant, very good historical dishes

The best Piedmontese cuisine experience in Turin. There's little to say; the dishes speak for themselves. Excellent service; the waiter was very helpful and kind in suggesting the traditional menu, including the tartare di carne crudo (raw meat tartare), and he couldn't have done better. Amazing; every dish was incredible. First time in Turin; I'll definitely be back.

One thing's for sure: in my opinion, you won't find a better restaurant in Turin than Scannabue from every perspective. The Piedmontese offering is fabulous.

The best vitello tonnato I've ever had! And they also pay close attention to gluten-free options (the puff pastry with seeds instead of bread is delicious).

I think it's the best place in Turin, excellent quality and service. You'll be surprised here; it's not a cheap place; if you want to have fun, 50-60 euros per person is normal. But it's worth every penny.
