08/06/2025: Disappointed when we were told there wouldn't be any pizzas on the menu, without any explanation. A bit like a tourist restaurant. You have to move quickly!! That's what we felt about the servers, and there weren't many smiles. The food was a little more positive. Fresh ravioli and spaghetti, but a bit flat. Very hard to digest. It's impossible to get a simple carafe of water. We have to get still water, which actually comes from the tap!!! Service, cutlery, and breadsticks add to the final bill.

08/06/2025: Very, very disappointing. Attracted by a beautiful setting and lovely music... unfortunately, that's all I remember. No pizza the day we were there... without any explanation. And they were careful not to mention it from the start. I ordered spaghetti carbonara... excessively greasy. Very difficult to digest. Service was unfriendly, with no soul or smile. Rushed is the perfect description. Avoid. Tourist trap restaurant.

Un bémol : des prix dans la logique du marché à l’exception d’ une addition incompréhensible de 78 euros pour trois verres d’un vin blanc régional • soit 26 euro le verre ,nous n’avions pas pensé demander le prix du vin au verre d’habitude on est dans les 10 euros le verre de vin local. Dommage ça surprend d’autant plus que nous étions déjà venus l’année dernière sans subir cette surprise. • Ce vin coûte 18 Euro la bouteille sur le marché, belle marge

30/05/2025: I just returned from a trip to Italy with a family of 15. Our boat trip was cancelled due to weather so we went to Ravello as a plan B. I was scrambling to find restaurant accommodations for 15 and stumbled upon Sigilgaida. Enter our hero, Pasquale. He and I chatted and he not only made room to accommodate us, but what he had prepared re seating options when we arrived for dinner was beautiful. Wonderful setting with breathe taking views. To say my family was thrilled and delighted would be an understatement. What followed after we were seated turned out to be one of the highlights of our 10 day trip. We were wined and dined as if we were long lost members of Pasquale's family. He introduced local wines (one of which was my favorite of the trip), brought insight to the dishes, and treated us with surprises at every turn. He created a night none of us will forget and in the process we felt like we made a new friend. Beyond that, when the meal was complete, Pasquale and the staff had rides for us waiting back to Amalfi (no easy feat at that time and place). Over the top consideration and service. If you find yourself in Ravello and are looking for an amazing meal, with incredible views, that will create lasting memories, don't miss this place. 15/02/2025: We were looking for an intimate venue where not only the atmosphere but also the good food reigned supreme. What can I say? We definitely found it! The quality of the dishes offered is excellent, with simple but not obvious combinations and balanced in every flavour. Fair waiting times (the place was full) and smiling, kind, welcoming and impeccable service. The bill in line with everything we received. A Valentine's Day to remember and a restaurant to return to.

15/02/2025: Cercavamo un locale intimo dove a far da padrone non fosse solo l'atmosfera ma anche la buona cucina. Che dire? L'abbiamo sicuramente trovato! Ottima la qualità dei piatti proposta, con abbinamenti semplici ma non scontati e bilanciati in ogni sapore. Tempi d'attesa giusti (il locale era pieno) e servizio sorridente, gentile, accogliente e impeccabile. Il conto in linea con tutto quello che abbiamo ricevuto. Un San Valentino da ricordare e un ristorante in cui tornare.

27/05/2025: Quiet place, far from the usual chaos, very nice and welcoming and very warm and professional staff, the food nothing to say, I took the "zuccotta" spectacular pizza to say the least, very delicate light and tasty, truly spectacular I would have taken another 10. Congratulations really, if I could have left 10 stars I would have certainly done so.

17/06/2025: Very nice place in the historic center of the town along one of the streets that leads to the cathedral. Possibility of eating both inside and outside at the tables along the street. Well-kept place and very kind staff. Excellent appetizer of the house. Good value for money. Excellent materials used and refined flavors.

09/04/2025: Con i miei amici gastronomi, abbiamo scelto la Locanda dell’Abate a Montescaglioso per un pranzo fuori porta. Siamo stati accolti con grande cordialità, e lo chef e titolare, il signor Giuseppe, ci ha guidati nella scelta dei vini per accompagnare l’esperienza. L’antipasto di mare ci ha conquistati con il tentacolo di polpo arrosto e le seppie cotte nel mezzo limone, sprigionando profumi delicati e un perfetto equilibrio tra tenerezza e acidità. Il legame con il territorio si è fatto sentire con la cipolla in agro. I ravioli di pesce, avvolti in una salsa di pomodoro leggermente acidula, hanno offerto un contrasto raffinato, mentre i gamberoni in crosta sono stati semplicemente eccellenti. L’atmosfera raccolta, grazie ai pochi tavoli in sala, ha reso la conversazione piacevole e conviviale. Concludiamo questa esperienza domenicale con un plauso allo chef Giuseppe per l’ottima organizzazione e la qualità delle portate. Torneremo presto!

14/05/2025: I had a great dining experience at Mame Bistrot! The food was absolutely delicious – I ordered the mixed grill platter, and it was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The portions were generous, and the presentation was spot on. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Definitely a place I’d recommend and look forward to visiting again!
