A nice, cosy little restaurant in the city centre. The food is tasty, but it’s not cheap. It’s worth a visit, but not too often.

Wandering around Sanremo, through the alleys near the port and Permare, around lunchtime, deciding where to eat proved to be no easy feat.
The myriad of eateries, all frankly inviting, confounded our eyes, palates, and mouths.
Suddenly, at an outside table, we noticed a dish that, if well-cooked, would be "gospel" for us: fried seafood with tempura vegetables.
Inviting and enticing in appearance, we entered the Osteria del Marinaio and sat down.
Outside, the weather promised imminent drizzle.
Greeted by, we believe, the owner, in a warm and classy atmosphere, kind and attentive, we ordered.
The dishes arrived in textbook time, and we began to savor, perfect in every detail, a delight.
Everything was excellent, even the recommended wine proved excellent and well-matched.
We also noted the persuasive presentation of the first courses, enticing and generous.
Nothing else to add except a "brotherly" note to the (alleged) owner, from former restaurateur to restaurateur.
If it's the guest who reports the forgotten charge for two glasses of wine (€12), as in our case, a gesture of consideration, such as asking for the cost of just one, would have been greatly appreciated, enticing, and encouraging a return!
Not even a thank you, but simply the updated total requested, demonstrates a lack of class that is unbecoming of what was perhaps only imagined.
