25/06/2025: A place worth coming back to — even after 20 years! I first dined here over two decades ago, and returning after all these years felt like stepping into a warm memory — only better. This historic restaurant, tucked away deep beneath the streets of Siena, has such a unique and intimate atmosphere. The stone walls, candlelight, and underground setting make it feel like a hidden gem straight out of a Tuscan dream. So cozy, so romantic. The food? Absolutely divine. Every dish was cooked with care and soul — but the truffle risotto was truly outstanding, possibly one of the best I’ve had in all of Italy. The pasta was handmade and full of character, the cold cuts perfectly curated, and the wine selection was top notch. The staff made the evening even more special — warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely attentive. They didn’t just serve food, they hosted an experience. Siena holds a special place in my heart, and this restaurant is part of that magic. I’ll always want to come back. ☘️

03/06/2025: Located in one of the main walking streets of Lucca, a few steps from the main attractions, this restaurant captures the attention for its homely and authentic flavor and the friendly welcome of the owner. I had lunch in the outdoor terrace, choosing spaghetti with ragù that I found good and tasty, a portion not so abundant but still normal; all accompanied by bread and focaccia of various types, an aspect that I appreciated very much. Excellent service: the very kind and smiling waiter was always very attentive to ensure that everything was going well. A good place to savor authenticity in a family atmosphere.

14/06/2025: WELCOMING AND SERVICE 10 EXCELLENT FOOD AND REALLY EXCELLENT QUALITY I FINALLY GET TO TASTE THEIR SPECIALITIES A BEAUTIFUL AND GIANT FRIED PIZZA TOMATO PROVOLA FROM AGEROLA CRACKLINGS AND RICOTTA SOMETHING SPECTACULAR AND A PLEASURE FOR THE PALATE, NOT TO MENTION THE FRIED FOODS, THAT IS THE CLASSIC PASTA FRITTINA WITH STRINGY CHEESE MEAT IN PIECES BÉCHAMEL AND PARMESAN A REAL PLEASURE AND ALSO THE SPECTACULAR CROQUETS. AS SOON AS I PROPOSE THE TRIP TO NAPLES I WILL KNOW WHERE TO TAKE PEOPLE TO EAT. TO RETURN WITH SO MUCH PLEASURE

06/05/2025: Trattoria semplice, che richiama reminiscenze delle migliori tradizioni siciliane. Atmosfera familiare; una sala arredata all'uso delle antiche osterie; una porta aperta sulla cucina, dove sfaccenda un'anziana e vispa signora; un giovane per nulla affannato, che si propone ai tavoli con encomiabile efficienza e professionalità. E poi le pietanze: un menù sobrio e misurato. Primi semplici e tradizionali, come i maccheroni freschi fatti a mano, conditi con un saporitissimo sugo di maiale; e i secondi, come la grigliata mista di carni locali, da fare invidia ad un qualsiasi piatto gourmet. Prezzi onestissimi e certamente inferiori alla qualità e alla genuinità dei prodotti proposti in tavola. Da tornarci.... una prima, una seconda e una terza volta. E anche più!!

28/05/2025: The food is simply delicious: fresh ingredients, light and well-leavened dough, abundant and quality toppings. The pizza in the photo speaks for itself: a masterpiece! The service is always friendly and attentive, even in the busiest moments. The environment is welcoming and well-kept, perfect both for a dinner with friends and for a more quiet outing. I will definitely be back (as always)! Highly recommended!

25/05/2025: Tasty food but having Coperta / Cover of eur 3 per person seemed a bit too much for this restaurant.

05/06/2025: 1) Great food and wine 2) A lovely atmosphere 3) Very pleasant, knowledgeable staff 4) Open on Mondays for dinner. I started with an excellent spaghetti, with a sauce of cooked down yellow cherry tomatoes, stracciatella cheese (what's inside burrata) and bread crumbs. My partner had green pasta raviolis filled with ricotta and seasonal herbs. We split a tenderloin of deer for our main course (which they served on two separate plates without us asking them do that... a bonus). We had glasses of a very nice Lagrein wine from Alto Adige and we finished with a classic tiramisu and a coffee. Antico Guelfo was one of the two best restaurants of this trip.

26/04/2025: Davvero tutto buonissimo, dalla carne al pesce. Il servizio è stato attento e impeccabile. Lo straconsiglio! Se dovessimo tornare a Vicenza ci andremo sicuramente!

20/06/2025: Trying the pizzas you understand why they have placed first in various national and international competitions, whether it is normal or scrocchiarella or other special doughs, the ingredients are always high quality and the presentation also does its part. Prices adequate for the quality, only indoor seats divided into two large rooms. The annual appointment with tasting of new scrocchiarelle is unmissable.

26/05/2025: We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance and left happy. From the service to the food, even the glass of wine, was excellent. We went there a second time. The manager is always friendly and helpful, even when there were some language barriers, and the chef once again prepared delicious dishes. If it weren't so far from Germany, we would come more often.

23/05/2025: Very good food, nice service. A real hit in our group of friends was the tagliolini with truffles 😋, local red wine and delicious bread with olive oil (served while waiting for the food). Normal prices. 👍
