02/12/2025: Passing through Nola, I was looking for a place to have dinner. I followed other users' recommendations and came here to Cicerenella. The dinner was excellent, featuring seafood and white wine. I hadn't tasted such flavorful and abundant spaghetti with clams and calamari in a long time. The service was excellent and attentive, the staff courteous and helpful, and the atmosphere traditionally blended with historical references. A relaxing dinner. The bar features a Romanesque decoration, the frescoed and exposed stone walls, the solid wood tables, and everything was furnished in keeping with local tradition, with hints of ancient history. I recommend it to anyone looking for a break from the frenetic and stressful pace of life. Suitable for large tables or dinners for couples (whether it's a wife, a girlfriend, or a lover for the more daring and naughty ones).

09/12/2025: Beautiful place, very friendly staff. Even though there was an eighteenth-minute charge, the dishes arrived promptly. Everything was really good. First course, second course, shared side dish, dessert, wine, and soft drinks, we spent just under €40 each. Highly recommended.

08/12/2025: My wife, daughter and I ate here last night. We liked the aesthetic of the restaurant. Note: I am an expat but live permanently in Lucca. We wanted to try a restaurant we haven’t been to before and I selected this one based on its proximity and 4.4 rating. However, from the moment we entered the restaurant to the moment we left, was 25 minutes. I ordered the grilled rooster and my wife and daughter ordered a pasta dish and tagliata or slices of steak. The food came surprisingly fast. We were the first customers in the restaurant but even then, we would not have expected the food to come out that quicky. The reason, in my opinion, is that I believe my chicken meal was pre-cooked. It was entirely overcooked and dry to the point of I had to drink water to get bites down. I only ate about half of it. My wife and I talked about the nature of the meal and how it’s possible it was cooked that quickly, and that the only way that it could have been would to have precooked it the day before or earlier in the day, and then reheat it. It tasted like leftovers in my refrigerator. That is not an exaggeration but exactly what it tasted like to me if I had day-old cooked chicken and then reheated it too much in a microwave. If this was fresh chicken put on the grill, I don’t know how it could possibly have been prepared and grilled to such a degree to be nearly inedible in the ten or fewer minutes it took to deliver it to our table after ordering. And at 18 euros for the chicken with potatoes, to be honest, it pissed me off as a rip-off. I was ready to go immediately and we didn’t order dessert. Also, we ordered a bottle of water. My wife and I believe it was just tap water versus a filtered water. The bread was good but not entirely fresh. Overall, the meal was 60 euros which was steep for what we got. Definitely not worth it. I would have rather ate at home or one of my favorite restaurants in the area that would have been a trusted experience.

23/10/2025: For my birthday dinner, we chose Locanda del Carmine. The location is on the charming and central Piazza del Carmine, yet never crowded. The atmosphere is elegant and welcoming, and we sat on the veranda overlooking the square. The staff is friendly, and the service is impeccable. All the dishes were excellent in terms of the quality of the ingredients, the presentation, and the meticulous preparation, and the portions were adequate. The menu also includes vegan/vegetarian dishes. The wine list is impressive, with options from around the world, catering for all tastes and budgets. Note that half bottles are available, although the selection is limited. There's also a spirits list with a wide range of interesting options. The prices are reasonable for the quality of the dishes and the service.

13/06/2025: Here, the food is still cooked by hand with a lot of imagination. The prices are fair and absolutely reasonable. I had tortellini filled with pumpkin amatetto filling. My wife had catfish dumplings with polenta. The starter, perch fillet with dried zucchini, was free... Also free were the looks on the faces of the Germans who expected something different on their plates.

09/12/2025: Conviviality is the watchword. We had dinner at this restaurant, which is certainly not a tourist destination, but is ideal for those who want to truly experience the spirit of Bolognese cuisine. The service was impeccable, attentive, and friendly, and the dishes were truly rich, tasty, and plentiful. They've recently added a piano, perhaps for entertainment while you wait. Highly recommended!

The waiter and cashier think they're the protagonists of MY story, when I was the one who discovered the dragon. 3. The quick apology when they get the bill wrong: "We changed the menu today," keep it low.

08/11/2025: Saturday night, the place was half-empty, downtown Caorle. We asked if Coke was on tap and the maître d' said yes, so we ordered two without ice and lemon. We also ordered fries, and the maître d' himself asked if we wanted them before the pizza, and we thanked him by saying yes (before the pizza). Instead of the Coke on tap, he brought us two cans of Coke. The fries didn't arrive, so they brought us pizzas. The maître d' then came back and said (without consulting us), "Then I'll cancel the fries." Well... a bit of a mess. I was worried he'd bring me vinegar instead of ketchup and mayonnaise for the fries... but at least they were careful about that!

15/12/2025: I went there on Saturday for dinner with the whole family. The staff was professional, kind, and attentive. The food was good, high-quality, and plentiful. We went to a restaurant, but out of curiosity, we ordered a plate of pinza to share: delicious. Good value for money. We'll be back. Recommended.
