I returned after some time and I must say that I found the genuine place I knew, where they have brought improvements in the service and also at dinner they provide table service, while for lunch it remains self-service, with the staff however follows... home cooking at a good price, various different dishes offered during the week, a full place on any evening of the week, booking is recommended if there are more than one person and during peak hours. Advised.

I often go there on Wednesdays because there is schnitzel with fries. A classic! All very good!

This restaurant is very central and very well located, for lunch they have a good menu, at a good price. But the dinner is ala carte and the prices are small and the prices are higher. I went for lunch, spent little and ate well.

It is an institution for the people of Vicenza. Born as a self-service that trusts the customer. In the sense that you make as many rounds of food as you want and then communicate it at the register after eating and drinking. Nobody takes into account what you take. Since Covid onwards it has only been managed like this at lunch. In the evening you order at the table. Highly recommended for Vicenza-style cod and Williams pears cooked in red wine, but the whole grill is also top

Locale storico in pieno centro storico di Vicenza. Self service con ampia scelta di piatti cucinati discretamente. Prezzi non altissimi, porzioni magari da rivedere un po. Una garanzia per un pranzo veloce in centro a Vicenza

Great restaurant and very popular at lunchtime. Self-service means you go to the counter where the various dishes are displayed and order what you want from the cooks behind the counter who will then pass you your dishes and you take them to a table and you sit down. Wine, beer etc are available and you pour your own from self-service taps. Lunch was excellent: very good pasta dish and vegetarian entree plate, good Tiramisu for dolce. We returned in the evening for dinner but we were disappointed. Much quieter, less appealing atmosphere; food on offer rather dull and overpriced. Recommendation: go for lunch (get there early as it fills up fast) but avoid for dinner.
