03/09/2025: My boyfriend and I stumbled upon this restaurant during our short vacation in Vietri sul Mare. As a celiac, I enjoyed spectacular dishes, from starter to dessert; I highly recommend this restaurant. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and we'll definitely be back.

03/09/2025: My girlfriend, who is celiac, and I went to this wonderful restaurant. The food was excellent, the fish was top-notch, and the dishes spoke volumes. The owners welcomed us warmly. They were both very knowledgeable, and my girlfriend had a wonderful time. They had all the bread, pasta, and desserts, all gluten-free. They're made in a bakery near Vietri Sul Mare, as the owner explained to us. Highly recommended!

23/08/2025: We were on a cruise and our stop was Naples. We had to try this special pizzeria. Truly excellent. Fantastic pizza, wonderful fried foods, and a Guinness World Record fried pizza. Highly recommended.

26/08/2025: Dinner on the terrace. Even when the place was full, the service was fast, the dishes were delicious. I highly recommend the scampi gnocchi and the tuna tataki.

16/08/2025: Located in the historic center but to the northwest, in a less busy area than Piazza Conte Rosso but with just as much character - and more accessible. Menu exclusively in Italian. Damn, our phones were dead and our knowledge of culinary Italian was limited. Since we couldn't choose, we opted for the 4-course tasting menu, at the reasonable price of 37 euros, which offered a sampling of the house dishes. And we ate the entire restaurant! And served by the ladle rather than the teaspoon! It's hard to remember a particular dish, but every piece on this (complete?) compilation was a hit! A highly recommended menu, provided you drastically monitor your diet in the previous twelve hours to be able to fully indulge. So, unfortunately, no clichés to immortalize the moment. Served under a small, very pleasant arbor by a kind young woman with charming hesitations who seemed amazed by our substantial tip.

10/09/2025: Highly recommended, excellent value for money! Even though you can't reserve, they were very quick; first they order the meat you want and then they seat you at your table. We had the veal strips (excellent) and various flavors of bombette accompanied by potatoes and grilled vegetables. Everything was excellent and reasonably priced. It would have been perfect to finish with some homemade desserts, but they don't have desserts...

06/08/2025: A lovely restaurant with an authentic atmosphere and truly incredible value for money. Delicious pizzas and a variety of other dishes, including gluten-free options. Friendly and attentive service. It's best to make a reservation on weekends, as you can also sit outside in the evening. Highly recommended!

17/08/2025: In the heart of the Langhe, known as a wine and food treasure, lies Neive, less known than others like Alba, Asti, or La Morra, but nevertheless well worth a visit to this charming town. If you do, a great choice is Locanda Borgo Vecchio, where you can savor typical Piedmontese dishes and also some other original options, with a limited menu but with plenty of options. In fact, there's always a dish off the menu that's seasonal and is usually highly recommended. In my case, it was mushrooms and the tagliatelle with black truffle. It's advisable to leave room for traditional desserts with a little something extra, like the white chocolate mousse with red berries. Also worth noting is that they produce wine and grappa, perfect, especially in summer, to be enjoyed on their magnificent terrace, from which you can see the area's vineyards. A highly recommended place

16/08/2025: We visited this restaurant and had an overall very positive experience: the cuisine is meticulous, the dishes are well-prepared, and the bill was absolutely reasonable. The atmosphere is also pleasant and contributes to a pleasant evening. My only complaint concerns the reservation management: when I called, I specifically requested a table with a panoramic view, specifically one by the window, because we were celebrating my boyfriend's birthday. I was assured that all the tables had a beautiful view, so I trusted them. Unfortunately, when we arrived, the tables with a view were already taken, and we were assigned a table further away, from which we couldn't enjoy the sunset, which would have been truly special on such an occasion. I reported this when I received the bill, but was told that my request hadn't been noted. A shame, because with a little more attention to this detail, the evening would have been perfect. Despite this, it's still a restaurant I recommend for the quality of the food, the location, and the good value.

01/09/2025: This was my first ever Pizza in Naples. Being a pizza reviewer from the Toronto area. Pizza was pretty good and maybe I was expecting all the pizzas in Naples to be a nine. But they were good here. Very friendly staff and yes it's cooked in milkwood fired oven

Despite it being a busy time, the wait time between courses was acceptable. The restaurant's atmosphere is quiet and well-maintained, with a welcoming atmosphere that allows you to enjoy lunch in peace. Its location makes the restaurant easily accessible and well-connected. Il Rosso e il Nero's cuisine is undoubtedly its strong point. We chose fresh fish dishes, which were very tasty and well-prepared, though not abundant. The multi-course menu was recommended to us by the owner, Giovanni. The quality of the ingredients is evident, with fresh fish and well-balanced flavors. One aspect to consider is that, instead of serving individual dishes, the dishes were brought on shared trays. This may not be ideal for those who prefer individual portions, especially in a lunch setting where people have varying appetites. The portions, while not generous, are just satisfactory, but may not be enough for those looking for a more substantial lunch. The drinks were up to par, with a good house Falanghina wine in a jug that paired well with the dishes. The desserts served at the end of the meal were a welcome addition, although some would have preferred fruit or ice cream. Coffee and liqueurs were also offered on the menu. However, the price of €45 per person, including raw ham and mini appetizers, doesn't justify the freshness of the ingredients, and the small portions might not satisfy those looking for a more substantial meal. If you're looking for something a bit more special or off-menu, I highly recommend speaking to the manager — a truly kind-hearted person who goes above and beyond to make guests feel welcome. The service is outstanding: attentive, professional, and never intrusive. Prices are very reasonable, with most dishes ranging from around €10 to €30. The most expensive pizza was only about €14, which is impressive given the quality. The fish dishes, in particular, are exceptionally well prepared — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Highly recommended!
