Located near the Termoli train station, Il Rosso e il Nero is a restaurant offering traditional Italian cuisine, with a focus on fresh seafood dishes and simple, unseasoned sauces. The atmosphere is inviting and perfect for a relaxing lunch break. The restaurant is well-maintained and the simple decor creates an intimate and pleasant atmosphere, perfect for a break during the day. The service was courteous and prompt, an important aspect for those seeking a hassle-free lunch. The staff was attentive and helpful, without being intrusive. Despite it being a busy time, the wait time between courses was acceptable. The restaurant's atmosphere is quiet and well-maintained, with a welcoming atmosphere that allows you to enjoy lunch in peace. Its location makes the restaurant easily accessible and well-connected. Il Rosso e il Nero's cuisine is undoubtedly its strong point. We chose fresh fish dishes, which were very tasty and well-prepared, though not abundant. The multi-course menu was recommended to us by the owner, Giovanni. The quality of the ingredients is evident, with fresh fish and well-balanced flavors. One aspect to consider is that, instead of serving individual dishes, the dishes were brought on shared trays. This may not be ideal for those who prefer individual portions, especially in a lunch setting where people have varying appetites. The portions, while not generous, are just satisfactory, but may not be enough for those looking for a more substantial lunch. The drinks were up to par, with a good house Falanghina wine in a jug that paired well with the dishes. The desserts served at the end of the meal were a welcome addition, although some would have preferred fruit or ice cream. Coffee and liqueurs were also offered on the menu. However, the price of €45 per person, including raw ham and mini appetizers, doesn't justify the freshness of the ingredients, and the small portions might not satisfy those looking for a more substantial meal. 01/08/2025: Un’esperienza culinaria davvero fantastica. Dalla prima forchettata dell’antipasto (petali di lardo su patata) all’ultima cucchiaiata del semifreddo è stata una meraviglia gustativa. Lo spiedino di manzo era cotto alla perfezione, le tagliatelle fatte in casa ai mirtilli erano buonissimi. Non posso che consigliare assolutamente il ristorante. Menù fisso visto che fa anche da albergo, mi ha dato l’opportunità di scoprire nuove ricette, e farmi sorprendere. La presentazione anche sempre da 4*. Cordialissima. Bravi!

The service is outstanding: attentive, professional, and never intrusive. Prices are very reasonable, with most dishes ranging from around €10 to €30. The most expensive pizza was only about €14, which is impressive given the quality. The fish dishes, in particular, are exceptionally well prepared — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. 02/09/2025: The place itself is very nice. The service leaves you waiting for the best. Now onto the food. I had the Piedmontese antipasto mix recommended by the place. The raw meat was good, the anchovies were good, the vitello tonato was good, the meat was cooked perfectly but the sauce wasn't. It tasted like bean water mayonnaise, which I didn't like. Then I had the rabbit. It was overcooked, it seemed like it had been chewed and then baked. Even though the flavor was good, the consistency wasn't. The meringue dessert was good (a bit old meringue). I'd say I might give it another chance, but even today for lunch, I wouldn't know. I expected better since it was recommended.

22/08/2025: We came here just for dessert, on the recommendation of our Airbnb host in Viterbo. The ambiance outside was cozy and inviting, perfect for lingering over something sweet. We tried a creamy dessert layered over a moist plum rum cake at the bottom- delicious. Another favorite was the raspberry and cherry dessert topped with hazelnuts and chocolate crumbles, a perfect balance of flavors and textures. Both were excellent. The only downside was that it took quite a long time for us to place our order. That said, once the desserts arrived, they were well worth the wait. I also couldn't help but notice the other dishes coming out to nearby tables- they all looked wonderful. Next time, I'd definitely come for a full meal too.

Homemade tagliolini with truffles.....low-temperature cooked Cinta Senese pork belly....bread and desserts rigorously prepared with selected niche flours....everything excellent! Leonardo, the attentive and friendly staff, is able to interpret your tastes and offer appropriate advice!! Highly recommended!!

03/09/2025: A necessary preface: I've worked in the restaurant industry for over ten years, so I know that a "bad night" can happen to anyone, even the best. For this reason, I always approach things with understanding. However, my experience at Sabir was unfortunately very disappointing, especially considering the restaurant's expectations and location. The welcome was virtually nonexistent: upon arrival, there was no one to greet us, and only after a few minutes did we find a waiter to show us to our table. Once we ordered, we had to wait 1 hour and 15 minutes for our first course. Meanwhile, amuse-bouche were served, placed on the table without any explanation or presentation: a detail that, in an experience of this caliber, truly makes all the difference. The service, unfortunately, proved to be unsympathetic and very disorganized throughout the dinner. The waiters were clearly sluggish, there was little communication between them, and the dishes were served without any explanation or attention. In fact, when we asked for an explanation of a dish, we were told, "I don't know, ask a colleague." Other tables around us expressed the same discomfort, creating a surreal and awkward atmosphere. Culinary-wise, the quality of the ingredients is undoubtedly good, even if not particularly innovative. However, without proper explanations and a modicum of storytelling, one ends up appreciating them far less than they deserve. The conclusion wasn't any better: I ordered a whiskey to finish the meal, but it was simply placed on the table, without even specifying the type, without a separate glass of water or ice, and without the slightest attention. The real disappointment, beyond the individual incidents, was never receiving—over the course of the three hours spent at the restaurant—a simple question like, "How's dinner going?" A gesture of thoughtfulness that would have allowed for immediate constructive feedback to the staff. Perhaps my expectations were too high, but I believe a restaurant like Sabir should offer an experience that goes far beyond the dish itself, justifying the price and the name it represents. Unfortunately, on this occasion, that wasn't the case.

19/08/2025: Beautiful, spacious location with plenty of indoor and outdoor tables. We were pleasantly surprised that despite arriving at 10:00 PM, we were able to eat without any problems, as the kitchen is open late. There's a wide variety of pizzas to choose from, including thick and thin ones, and various types of dough. We started with the pizza, tried the seafood salad, and finished with the grilled fish. The portions were very generous. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended!

16/08/2025: Located in the historic center but to the northwest, in a less busy area than Piazza Conte Rosso but with just as much character - and more accessible. Menu exclusively in Italian. Damn, our phones were dead and our knowledge of culinary Italian was limited. Since we couldn't choose, we opted for the 4-course tasting menu, at the reasonable price of 37 euros, which offered a sampling of the house dishes. And we ate the entire restaurant! And served by the ladle rather than the teaspoon! It's hard to remember a particular dish, but every piece on this (complete?) compilation was a hit! A highly recommended menu, provided you drastically monitor your diet in the previous twelve hours to be able to fully indulge. So, unfortunately, no clichés to immortalize the moment. Served under a small, very pleasant arbor by a kind young woman with charming hesitations who seemed amazed by our substantial tip.
