14/03/2025: I read useless and obvious comments, fixed menu aside, which I also don't love, the Dogana Vegia turns out to be a unique place, a dive into the rural past and the history of the mountains, a museum! The owner Dario has a particular character, the service certainly isn't five star, but if you know how to take it it's also nice.. The cost of €70 may also be questionable, but not exaggerated and the place is worth it all. The food is excellent and plentiful. The venue has a unique and unparalleled charm with a romantic atmosphere. If you are not hungry and don't want or can't spend this amount, this is not the place for you.
02/02/2025: ATTENTION ! Fixed price menu and only when you pay do they tell you that the price is €75 per person! As soon as we enter they start bringing food without giving us a menu or explaining anything else, already after the first one we are almost full. We reiterate that we would like nothing else, but the owner arrogantly tells us that if we weren't hungry we shouldn't even have come. Although the place is quaint and the food is good, I strongly advise against this place!!!

06/01/2025: We got there on the Bernina Express in June 2024. The pretty garden with the large parasols was particularly inviting because of the heat. A very friendly, German-speaking waiter was there quickly with the menu and took the drink order. There were four of us and it was already quite late for lunch, but everything went great. The salad was plentiful and fresh. As is typical for the country, there was a garnish with various vinegars, oils, etc. to make yourself. I much prefer this to the often dubious dressings in German pizzerias. My pizza was large, had plenty of toppings and was very tasty. The other three at the table were also very satisfied with their food. Accustomed to the by no means intoxicating food at horrendous prices in Switzerland, we were even happier after the modest bill.

23/02/2025: It used to be a great place 3 years ago, but a bit dissapointing now. Nothing small for eating served with drinks. Half of the beers was not availible, the wine was not too tasty. I wish they improve for our next visit.
14/02/2025: I ask for an aperitif and am brought some focaccia with heated onion and a bowl of pickled gherkins, foods that not everyone, including myself, may like.
I ask for more chips or even a bag but they tell me they don't have any of this.
It's a shame that when I go to the counter I see other aperitifs with completely different appetizers that are much more delicious than my pickles.
Drinks and prices are normal but maybe avoid trimming leftovers thanks

20/02/2025: Tutto molto buono, dagli antipasti passando per i primi e secondi piatti, per finire con il dolce con torta di grano saraceno.
Nonostante ci fosse molta gente il servizio è stato piuttosto veloce e il personale gentile.
03/01/2025: Siamo stati oggi in famiglia. Camerieri molto gentili, dal menu mancavano tre piatti, abbiamo ordinato pizzoccheri (poco formaggio poca verdura poco aglio) polenta normale (la taragna non c’era!!). Per dolce torta saracena con marmellata lamponi non mangiabile (dura come il legno marmellata troppo dolce). Calimero pervenuto senza vov.
rispetto agli altri rifugi in quest’area il cibo non regge il confronto

10/03/2025: Posto fantastico da andarci in estate sul lago di Livigno, cibo squisito e personale gentilissimo. Super consigliato nel periodo estivo in quanto in Primavera, Autunno e Inverno è chiuso.

30/03/2025: Disproportionately expensive, it is not a normal all you can eat, but rather there are limited portions. The service off except for a smiling and competent girl, too expensive for the little sushi and the raw prawns when they should have been cooked!

18/08/2024: Chiedo una semplice insalata verde Con carote. Niente di più. Torna un cameriere giovane e inesperto r mi dice che hanno finito insalata e verdure...non ho potuto mangiare nulla altro perché ho delle pesanti intolleranze...non mi.hanno proposto nulla di alternativo. Peccato che mentre mio marito mangiava la sua piadina (pessima, poco scaldata, formaggio all interno non sciolto) ho visto passare due belle marmitte di insalata mista....la prima volta ghe mi succede che un ristoratore non mi voglia dare da mangiare. Oltre tutto vado a pagare e vedo l angolo delle preparazioni...altro che igiene...indecente..il caffè viene fatto alla macchina prendendo il caffè già macinato xon un bicchiere dal sacchetto del caffè lavazza tipo del supermercato.....bah...non mi capacito come posti del genere possano essere ancora aperti....
