17/03/2026: We visited the hotel in February 2026 as a group of six friends for 6 nights. We had paid for extra rooms. The bathroom was renovated and the room also had a small kitchenette. The rooms were tidy, spacious and the heating worked 100%. I rate the location of the hotel 10 out of 10. The slopes are right in front of the hotel, two chairlifts and one cabin are just a few steps from the room. The breakfasts were continental and the same all week. There was ham, salami (something like highland), one type of cheese, boiled eggs, butter, nuggets, jams and a can of compote. There were no vegetables. The pastries were croissants without filling and the second type was something between a bun and a muffin. The first two days were quite good, but the rest of the week they were incredibly hard – practically inedible. From Wednesday we ate only croissants, both salty and sweet. There were juices from the machine, coffee, tea and hot chocolate to drink. When the coffee maker worked, the coffee was quite good. After it broke down, we stopped drinking coffee. I rate the breakfast 4 out of 10. Dinners were buffet style. There was soup and a main course – always a choice of three dishes (pasta, some meat and for the whole week fries, only once was there rice). There was also a salad bar. Dessert was the same cake for the whole week, about twice there was a choice of two types. Ketchup, mayonnaise, mustard and barbecue sauce were free. All drinks (water, beer, wine, sodas) were paid for. I rate the dinner 7 out of 10. If you can "survive" the breakfast, which you get tired of after two days, the hotel is generally quite nice. The overall impression of the holiday is also significantly improved by the excellent location of the hotel right on the ski slope and the perfect skiing conditions.

06/10/2025: I honestly admit that the place "didn't look good", the staff messed up the order, or more precisely, they didn't give us one of the pizzas we ordered and paid for, but we managed to "argue" it out, which doesn't change the fact that the pizza was amazingly good :) WOW

13/01/2026: A truly cool and welcoming bar, with extremely kind and friendly staff. Fresh and delicious pastries and baked goods, well stocked, including gluten-free options. They also have sweets and things for children or for an aperitif. Highly recommended.

And we stumbled upon a cozy bar where simplicity still combines with authenticity and quality...we had a sandwich, but one of those tasty and rich ones. Just what you look for when you need a bite to eat between one hairpin bend and another. The food and service at the counter are spectacular. Highly recommended.

02/03/2026: We spent the weekend at this property. Everything was excellent: the food, the company, the relaxing atmosphere. We were two families, and everyone was very satisfied. Furthermore, the owner also provided us with a fantastic ski instructor for our children, Fabrizio. The rooms were very comfortable. An excellent experience, definitely worth repeating. Highly recommended.

22/03/2026: As other customers have already described, the place is very special, being an old wooden building beautifully furnished with antiques. Unfortunately, there's no transparency in indicating which appetizers will be served or choosing a bottle of wine to open at the table! Then comes a choice of first and second courses. Dario is very kind and asks several times if everything is going well. So far, I'd say the place is exceptional, until it comes to the bill. And here's the rub... the total doesn't specify the breakdown of food and drinks. And for two people, he asked for €150😢 and without a commercial document. If you want, go ahead and have an experience that will remain in your memories.

22/02/2026: Very disappointing experience. We called in advance and were told there were three starters and four mains available - but no one mentioned it was a mandatory fixed menu. When we arrived, no menu was provided, no prices were explained, and no one clarified how dinner worked. Appetizers were brought to the table without explanation, and even a bottle of wine was opened and placed there without our consent. Only after we asked repeatedly did the owner inform us it was an €80 fixed menu (one starter, one main, and a second course). The lack of transparency was unacceptable, but what made it worse was the owner’s rude and dismissive attitude. We left without eating. This felt misleading and highly unprofessional.

08/03/2026: Found by chance, but what a satisfaction! A seemingly simple menu, but only on the surface... cooked with the respect that the raw ingredients used deserve (which are truly excellent quality), and truly generous portions. All topped off with attentive, yet unobtrusive service (each dish and accompaniment was well explained). Especially noteworthy is the "bread basket," which isn't just a basket, but is packed with a variety of homemade offerings! Definitely worth trying again on a future vacation.

The welcome remains warm and authentic, the quality of the dishes impeccable, and the attention to every detail demonstrates a timeless passion. Every course was a confirmation: fresh ingredients, balanced combinations, flavors that speak of tradition but with a touch of creativity that makes the experience truly special. The service was attentive without being intrusive, just as we remembered. After ten years, we are happy to say that this restaurant remains a benchmark of excellence. A place that never disappoints; on the contrary, it surprises again. We will definitely be back... well within the next ten years!

10/09/2025: Abusive Campsite Owner We witnessed two unbelievable incidents at El Ranchero this week. The owner – already very unfriendly – ​​physically assaulted a guest. He completely lost it, pushing and hitting the guest; screaming and threatening to smash his head. The victim remained calm and de-escalated the situation. Two children (3 and 5 years old) stood nearby, completely distraught. The reason was that the man had set up two beach umbrellas for his children next to the bus in the almost empty campsite, and now he was being asked to pay for two additional tents... which he found unjustified. We then threatened the owner with the police to make him stop. 20 minutes earlier, the owner had already verbally abused and insulted a woman who had hit an ancient plastic lamp while pulling out of a parking space, so aggressively that she burst into tears. The man has a serious anger management problem. He takes payments illegally, charges higher prices than stated on the website, and insults and attacks his guests.

09/09/2025: The host is so rude, location is on the main road, very very noisy. The pitches are so bad, the way to the camp is so tiny I barely was able to drive in or out. There is a youth camp near by, loud music till morning hours. Right behind the camp there is hallicopter station, taking of and landing Evey minute. We paid 40 euros for nothing, toilet are horrible, from WW2 time. Shower only with coins and it doesn't work. please take my advice and stay away unless you like rude owner and noisy camp.
