You're immediately greeted with courtesy and elegance, right up to the restaurant entrance where I'll wait for you to put away your jacket or coat. Then you're escorted to your table, and from there the lust begins. Knowing what's cooking is fantastic, with fantastic pairings and exquisite ingredients. I assure you that with just two simple things to start the aperitif (mortadella and schiacciata), you'll already be in raptures. 20/01/2026: On Sunday, I organized lunch for the class of 1997 at this magnificent restaurant. They are very professional and kind and make you feel at home, even accommodating those with celiac disease, for example. The appetizers were perfect, the risotto was cooked to a degree you can't find even in the best Michelin-starred restaurants, and the steak was exceptional. The wines were perfect, and above all, the entire staff was incredibly professional. They met all my expectations in every way. A lunch that was nothing short of perfect, with excellent prices. I highly recommend trying their specialties; they make you feel at home. ☺️

03/01/2026: Second year in Mantua, and we wanted to return for another experience. The risotto alla pilota was delicious, the donkey stew was also delicious, and the Swiss cake was sublime. Attentive and friendly service. The bill was reasonable. Free parking. Highly recommended.

The food was delicious, and the stay was pleasant. We had an appetizer, first course, second course, dessert, and coffee. Highly recommended; I'll definitely be back, especially to try the guinea fowl tortelloni with aromatic herbs.

11/01/2026: Absolutely the best fish I've ever eaten. I can say without hesitation that, to date, it's the best seafood restaurant I've ever been to. I had a raw appetizer and a cooked appetizer: it's unusual to order two appetizers, but I was really unsure which one to choose, so I ended up ordering both. The result? I left feeling really full, as if I'd eaten many more dishes, and the quality was top notch. The price, by the way, was absolutely fair, not at all excessive for what they offer. I couldn't find a single flaw: impeccable service, attentive and friendly staff, a very nice, welcoming place with a warm and pleasant atmosphere. I can't wait to return, and even though it's quite far from my home, I'd gladly travel all those miles again just to eat their fish again. It's definitely worth it. Reservations are highly recommended.

The staff are truly fantastic: kind, competent, and just the right amount of friendly. As for the food, well, what can I say? Fantastic. Every time, new offerings on top of the menu, always respecting the local Mantuan tradition. The quality is always excellent. 28/12/2025: Our first experience at Osteria Number 2 (we're a couple) was extremely pleasant. It happened by chance on their fridge-clearing day during their holiday closure (December 28, 2025). We were fortunate enough to attend a fantastic live music event accompanied by a surprise menu full of specialties and fabulous dishes. What struck us most, besides the abundance of good food, was the team's passion and dedication in offering a pleasant and entertaining experience. It wasn't just a simple lunch, but a true opportunity for fun and conviviality. We'll definitely be back in the future because it's worth it!
