09/03/2025: Well, This is like a legendary we drive around 50 minutes to visit because we want to try classic italian which they deliver as our expectation. Food is good wine list is great as Michelin 3 star standard. They use all ingredients from their own farm which is very unique. Worth to try once.

03/03/2025: A 3-star restaurant, this can be seen in the decoration and cozy atmosphere, but unfortunately not much from a culinary point of view. The dishes are moderately interesting, the pike in particular was sorely lacking in taste or sophistication. I still tasted the real aceto balsamico, I had wanted it for a long time. But in the end, my memory is ruined by the unacceptable arrogance of one of the waiters. At the end of the meal, we had finished the wine before finishing the last course. We asked if there was wine by the glass. The waiter took such a shine to us; I still don't understand how I didn't complain about it to Mrs. Santini. In the end, a very average culinary experience, certainly not worthy of a 3 star.

08/03/2025: This is how I imagine food in Italy 🤩🤩🤩 This was our second time there and it was absolutely amazing. Super tasty and affordable too. I can only recommend everyone to eat here! However, it should be reserved in advance 😉

08/03/2025: When you enter this place you are catapulted into another world where music, furniture and furnishings are part of this "circus" that envelops and kidnaps you. Impeccable service like the dishes offered. Wine list that focuses heavily on champagne to the detriment, in my opinion, of many other areas that deserve more attention. 07/03/2025: Memorable experience... even though we live not too far away, it was our first experience at the Embassy and I must say that I wondered why we hadn't decided to do it sooner! The restaurant is phenomenal, starting from the decor, but also in the service and manners of the wait staff. We wanted to taste the "renaissance of taste" tasting menu, among the restaurant's flagship dishes: lobster soup, Mantua sausage and borlotti beans; dry agnoli with Mantuan white truffle (they could also be requested with capon broth); classic pumpkin tortelli; guinea fowl of the vicariate. For dessert (à la carte), we opted for vanilla ice cream and rose cake with eggnog (the amazing desserts!). I have to be honest: each dish is better than the other, starting from the flavors (strong, balanced and enveloping) to the presentation (careful, elegant and excellent service). Furthermore, we also liked to pair four glasses of wine, one for each course. It should be noted that in addition to the historical, classic and traditional magnificence and opulence of the rooms, the manners of the staff (in particular, of the chef Matteo Ugolotti) make you feel at home, like among old friends. I feel like confidently stating that in this area of ​​our territory, there are no competitors... chapeau! (I have no photos to post because I enjoyed the evening so much that I forgot to take out my phone and take photos!) We can't wait to return. Jarno Marassi.

02/03/2025: Cucina veramente eccellente e mai banale. Mangiare al Sottobosco è un' esperienza piacevole fuori dagli schemi dell'offerta gastronomica della zona. Ottime le materie prime utilizzate e buono il rapporto qualità-prezzo. Cantina con buone e non banali etichette con particolare attenzione al biologico. Completano il tutto un servizio attento e cordiale.

26/02/2025: Small, very well looked after environment. Friendly, competent and smiling staff. I've only been once (for now) the menu changes once a month. You can choose between the 4-course one, which was enough for me, or a more substantial 6-course one. The dishes were well presented and proved to be tasty and balanced. Compliments.

11/03/2025: A beautiful evening in March, expertly followed by Chez Diego, we chose fantastic snails bourguignonne, a 1350g grilled rib of Grigio Alpina Pretzhof for two with delicious side dishes and a super dessert (for two) Millefoglie di Ūfele with mascherpone cream. For the wine Diego gave us good advice with a Nobile di Montepulciano DèRicci that paired well with the chosen dishes. Very well-kept, clean and quiet environment, good level of service. The bill was honest and without surprises for what we consumed. To try again and recommended!

11/03/2025: It was me and my partner with a Smartbox and we had a really good time! The fish menu proposed by the chef (which is fixed in the case of booking with Smartbox) proved to be really interesting, with typical local products treated with care and taste. Even with regards to the service, the guys and the owner were very courteous and gave us all the necessary attention. The only small flaw was the ice cream, which probably had temperature problems and was floury but still tasty. I recommend it!

28/02/2025: We were there a few years ago.. but it wasn't an excellent choice!!!! Then by chance, we heard that there had been a change of management, and I would say that it's a completely different story.... we ate very well, qualified and very kind staff, traditional cuisine and more... the meat and desserts were excellent, next time I'll take the agnoli in brev in vin, which unfortunately were out of stock!!! 07/02/2025: Historic tavern, founded at the time of the Libyan war in the early 1900s. After a recent change of management; now traditional Mantua dishes are once again offered, such as agnolotti, pumpkin tortelli, pilot rice, boiled meats and stews. The quality of the food is generally good, the service is prompt and very kind, the selection of wines is also good. Prices are average for this type of venue. Open for lunch and dinner, it has outdoor tables and two very welcoming and well-kept internal rooms. Usually you don't need a reservation but perhaps it's worth a call anyway.

23/02/2025: Small but extremely popular place and, after just one visit, I understood why. The staff is well trained, courteous and fast and the kitchen creates truly delicious and abundant dishes. Cod tiramisu and bigoli were my favorite dishes and at the end I discovered they were truly workhorses.

10/12/2024: December 2024: still excellent! March 2023 review: Exceptional service, exceptional seafood. Very busy at peak hours, which means the service is still good but there is some effect due to the number of guests being served. No English menu but some staff speak English. Items pictured are the baccala mantecato (awesome) and the very, very good lemon sorbet and the gelato (probably orange amd mango). Fish, pasta, and meat is all good here.
