20/08/2025: Giulio, the host, is incredible. His knowledge of Italian wines and gastronomy is unique! We enjoyed a Leonardo Da Vinci platter (a mix of cheese and cured meats) and two glasses of wine, a delicious white and a truly exceptional red! We added some side dishes (Apulian asparagus and Sicilian artichokes) at Giulio's suggestion, and thank you so much! They were delicious! This is a place for anyone who wants to learn more about our gastronomy, our Italian products, and especially for anyone who knows how to recognize a food enthusiast like Giulio! Thank you so much!

18/08/2025: We visited this osteria, and unfortunately, the experience didn't live up to our expectations. The food quality is decent, but the prices are significantly above average for what's on offer. One truly unpleasant incident involved the burrata: it was brought to our table without us having ordered it, making it seem like a courtesy. In the end, however, we found an extra €10 added to the bill—an attitude I find unfair, if not downright absurd. The same thing happened with the platter: some culatello was added on purpose, and we found ourselves with a €5 surcharge. The wine service was even worse: we weren't given any choice; it was served directly by the manager without showing us a menu or alternatives, and in the end, we found ourselves paying €24 for three glasses of wine. In the end, the bill came to €91 for a platter, a first course, and three glasses of wine. Honestly, an outrageous price for what was offered. These attitudes convey a lack of transparency to the customer and ruin the overall experience, regardless of the quality of the food. A restaurant that adopts such practices risks seriously losing credibility: without more honesty and clarity about prices and offers, it doesn't deserve the trust of its customers.

08/05/2026: I came on a Thursday evening with friends to listen to live music. Despite having made a reservation, we waited over two hours for our dishes (which also arrived without our order for starters, appetizers, and desserts). When we pointed this out to the waiter, he rudely and boredly replied that the place was full. The food is truly tasteless; there's absolutely no trace of authentic Mexican cuisine. It's a shame because the owner, Tania, is very kind and helpful, but the rest of the staff, not so much. The drinks and beers are very good, but we would have saved those from the entire menu.

07/02/2026: The pizza was undercooked and rubbery, so much so that it completely put me off eating, drinking coffee, or having dessert; the only thing I appreciated was the toppings. The service was very slow, despite there being about four waitresses in the room. To make the experience even worse, a woman sitting at a table next to mine decided to smoke IQOS right at the table, despite the smoking ban being clearly visible and displayed in front of her. She even managed to do so secretly without being noticed and therefore reprimanded.

30/03/2026: Hello, we came here to eat and I asked for a plate to my kid to eat inside the commercial center, she refused, saying about their rules etc, I explained that to eat from paper box dorsnt taste good but she doesnt care. Than i accepted her rules and when i opened the box, the products I asked didnt look at all like on their Menu board! I am very dissapointed and we will never order from there. In my personal opinion you can try, but we didnt like. Have a good

18/03/2026: I had lunch with delicious vegetarian tigelle, warm and fluffy. The service was always attentive, prompt and accommodating, but above all, helpful. The pumpkin tortelloni dish was also excellent.

01/09/2025: Fantastic location, room with balcony overlooking the lake. Beautiful garden. Large and clean room. Dated hotel in need of renovation, especially the decidedly "antique" windows and doors. The shower, with no sliding rail and curtain, could definitely use an overhaul. The on-site parking is very convenient.

27/09/2025: A very beautiful, old-fashioned place. Simple, clean rooms, with daily linen changes and housekeeping. The restaurant portions were generous, and the food had an authentic, home-style flavor. The owners were also very kind and helpful, especially the lady who runs the dining room. Highly recommended.

27/11/2025: Based on my personal taste and experience, I don't think I'll return. I chose this place for a quick aperitivo, but the experience wasn't the best. The area where we sat, marked off by transparent panels, overlooks the parking lot and isn't particularly welcoming. The aperitivo (two glasses of wine, the dregs of the bottle in our case) accompanied by some appetizers cost a total of €16; unfortunately, the service was slow, and the snacks arrived when the glass was almost empty. The location doesn't help either: it's on one of Desenzano's busiest streets, so it's a bit noisy and far from both the city center and the lake. Overall, the experience fell short of expectations, although I recognize that others might experience it differently.

09/04/2026: On a busy highway with trucks, Civitas La Sosta Buongustaio goes unnoticed. Stop by: the smiles and friendliness of the women who run the place make everything authentic and delicious. Sandwiches with cured meats and cheeses at the counter; truly delicious and a wide selection! At lunchtime, a varied hot food menu. Or a glass of wine while standing. A simple, striking place. I'll gladly return.
