10/08/2025: A refuge at the summit of Mount Purito, overlooking the town of Selvino. The panoramic view from the outdoor terrace is beautiful. It's also great for a refreshing aperitif after the climb (about a 20-minute walk on a paved road with some challenging slopes). The refuge can also be reached by chairlift.

27/07/2025: Easily accessible on foot via a paved path starting from Via Fiume Serio, where you can leave your car. The hike takes about 15-20 minutes. It's quite uphill but manageable with small children, strollers, and people unfamiliar with the mountains. Near the refuge, there's a very nice adventure park and a mini farm with chickens, donkeys, rabbits, and geese. The refuge is spacious with indoor and outdoor tables. The terrace offers a great view! I personally ate the platter with a beer and a bottle of water. The price was affordable and the quality was excellent (€17). The refuge can also be reached by chairlift (€4 one-way). The trail to the summit of Monte Purito starts from the refuge. The staff are welcoming and helpful. They're always smiling, as always in mountain locations. The service is quick. It's very crowded on weekends. If you'd like to have lunch, it's advisable to book in advance.

07/09/2025: I've known this pizzeria all my life, and it's undoubtedly one of the best pizzas by the slice around. The biggest problem is the organization. I find it inconceivable to sit at a table at 7 PM and have our pizzas delivered at 8:15 PM! I understand Saturday nights, I understand everything, but no, obviously we weren't the only table complaining, but we were all in the same situation. Either you prefer takeout or you prefer customers sitting at tables, who in addition to the pizza also pay for drinks and a cover charge for such service. The icing on the cake was the waitress asking us if we wanted dessert before we even saw our pizzas—not her fault, of course, but that shows how long we'd been sitting at the table. Never again on a Saturday night! It's a shame because the place is really cute and the pizza is delicious!

04/09/2025: What a wonderful discovery in the old town of Gallarate! The atmosphere is very cozy, rockin', and a bit alternative. The service was super relaxed and accommodating when I stopped by with my kids. I wouldn't have expected such delicious food from a pub specializing in beer. The chicken burger was perfect, the fries were crispy, and the little nuggets were tender, crispy, and flavorful all at once. Super delicious and highly recommended! Another plus is that the Barley House is queer-friendly 😊

Despite the scorching hot day, the air-conditioned restaurant was perfectly cool, allowing us to savor everything down to the last course. We'll definitely be back! Kudos to the owners and staff.
