14/10/2025: Great for business lunches, the food is excellent and you can even choose fresh meat to have cooked on the spot. A small criticism about the storage of the dishes; many times, especially the main courses, were not hot. A pass!

16/08/2025: We used to come very often for a delicious gelato at Davide's; we're also friends with the previous owners, until they closed. Now we're used to going to a nearby gelateria... Yesterday it was very crowded, so we decided to try the gelato at the reborn Davide's, which, as I wrote before it closed, we'd been going to for many years. In fact, after my father-in-law passed away, my mother-in-law wanted to move back home to Lavagna, and now we live here on two floors. We still have our house in Livorno on Via degli Scarronzoni, right in front of the Due Comandi. From our two-story home, I can also see the Torre Folgore and the sea. I've known this Gelateria for at least 20 years... And I must say, the new guys are kind... Good at their job. Only those of us who've tasted the old Davide's gelato can notice small differences, but the gelato is excellent, the service is fast, and they're kind. We sat at the outside tables, our 25-kg puppy comfortably seated. We ate our ice cream sundaes.... A small flaw.....the flavors we'd chosen, which were listed on the list they brought to our table, were missing. However, the ones we chose at the table were delicious. 07/11/2025: In this place, they seem to use glue instead of cheese. The thickness and stickiness of the cheese make it difficult to eat; here, chewing 15 times before swallowing, as recommended by doctors, is mandatory. Someone like me, who has nearly died from choking in the past, knows how quickly you can go from a meal to your own funeral. It would be a nice idea to create a special pizza that pays homage to the mortality of the pizza served at this colliery-turned-pizzeria, adorning it with noose-shaped pieces of cheese that, instead of suffocating you on the outside, suffocate you on the inside.

18/12/2025: For years, I had been going there regularly twice a week to get a pound of focaccia and sometimes some bread. When the clerk asked the usual question, "What should I do? Leave it?" because it weighed 136 g, I politely replied, in my opinion, that I'd get 1 pound. A small piece was taken off and reweighed. 98 g. The clerk asked me, with the usual annoyed, slightly Genoese attitude, "Is that okay now? 98 grams?" I replied, "Yes, of course." And the clerk replied, "But that's not a pound..." Lost customer.

10/10/2025: In Bogliasco, Maa Beach offers a combination of dining and seaside relaxation. The view is truly beautiful. Although the building is dated, we were very impressed with their cuisine. Their pasta with pesto sauce and green beans and their tartare are a must-try. I highly recommend it.

07/10/2025: The bay is beautiful, the bathrooms are nice, but there's a catch... Off-season, on September 29th, the penultimate day of opening, they can't still charge €40 for two loungers and an umbrella! That seems too much to me. And the shower isn't included; if you want a hot one, you have to pay... well,

20/12/2025: I don't speak Italian, but everything was perfect. The pizza was 100% Italian, well-priced, and of great quality. It was freshly prepared. Everything was perfect.

22/11/2025: We're a group of friends on a sports trip to Varazze. We're looking for a place to grab a pizza, and the guys from our opposing sports team recommend this place. We called way late for a standard reservation (7:00 PM), and they easily found us a spot for 8:00 PM. We had a great meal: tasty pizzas, well-topped, and a good dough that was perfectly cooked. The waitress and manager were welcoming and smiling, and the pizza + dessert + drink + liqueur were all very competitively priced; you won't find anything similar at that price in La Spezia. We'll be back.

11/01/2026: Cold place, cold bathroom, no soap, awful cooked ham and the worst thing is that for three people we paid 3 euros each for the cover charge, so an absurd 9 euros for the cover charge!

27/12/2025: DON'T GO THERE!!!! I don't know who wrote the 4* reviews.....for us, a Boxing Day to forget! . After being stuck on the highway for 2 hours due to an accident, at 2 pm we looked for an open place to eat in Busalla, I called this restaurant asking if they were still serving and they told us they were open. We sat down at a table of 6 at 2:30 pm. We ordered 2 mixed appetizers, steamed mussels, seafood salad, followed by trofie with pesto, two mixed grills, grilled prawns and sea bream. At 3 pm we received wine and water, then we waited until 4 pm! When they finally brought us something, they delivered steamed mussels (good, the only redeeming dish) along with seafood salad and trofie with pesto (overcooked, unsalted, badly drained pasta and poor-quality packaged pesto)....... The two mixed appetizers never arrived! When the main courses arrived half an hour later, the ribs were RAW and cold inside. The prawns were boiled rather than grilled, with the plate full of water. The sea bream were also partially raw! The price would have been fair for the dishes if the cooking and service had been up to par... €158. The only good thing was the pizza dough-based focaccia that they make fresh in the oven to accompany the main courses!

03/03/2026: Amazing, beautifully topped pizzas (the Mare e Monti and the Matteo are top-notch), though a bit thin. The cheese focaccia is decent, and the desserts are excellent. Very attentive and friendly service in a lovely setting with an enviable view. I recommend trying it! The Fork discount applied correctly.

25/01/2026: A very spacious restaurant with a large veranda and garden, perfect for outdoor dining in the summer. The weather wasn't the best, but on a sunny day, the view is worth it. We had fried calamari, which was cooked to perfection and not at all greasy—excellent, I'd say. The service was quick and efficient. The only drawback is parking: limited near the restaurant, but about 100 meters away, there's a small square with some parking.
