08/12/2025: We ate here twice, once for lunch and once for dinner. We definitely won't be returning. Lunch was fine: the food was decent, the staff helpful, the place always quite empty so the service was very quick, and the decor was simple. Dinner was a total disaster...never had a worse sushi experience. The rice was stringy, the fish wasn't fresh in flavor, almost hard in texture, the avocado (usually soft) fell apart at the first bite, and some sauces or dishes, like the saffron rice, completely packaged with the classic supermarket bag flavor. Maybe it was just an unlucky evening, or maybe not, but we're definitely not satisfied with what we ate in relation to how much we spent.

05/04/2026: Very rude. We went there with our car because it‘s the only restaurant in this area. Theres no chance you can park there or near it. So we decided to put our car back and walk all the way. As soon as we got there a rude woman told us to leave because it‘s all reserved and she didnt hide how annoyed she was because we couldnt speak italian lol.

14/05/2025: I could start by explaining where and how he chooses the meat, I could tell you about the meticulousness with which he chooses the type of bread best suited to his burgers, or I could tell you about how tempted I was to ask for a piece of raw sausage, because it was so good... instead I'll tell you that I wanted to post a photo but after the first bite I couldn't stay less than two centimeters away from that explosion of joy and egg yolk that was my sandwich. I discovered Otto Kraus by chance, on a business trip to Genoa and, please, for your own good, don't miss the chance to taste and try this type of approach to burgers. Truly one of the best I've ever tasted. And don't even consider the negative comments, the helpfulness and kindness of the owner are values ​​that are hard to find nowadays, even for those who work in contact with the public.

16/08/2025: We used to come very often for a delicious gelato at Davide's; we're also friends with the previous owners, until they closed. Now we're used to going to a nearby gelateria... Yesterday it was very crowded, so we decided to try the gelato at the reborn Davide's, which, as I wrote before it closed, we'd been going to for many years. In fact, after my father-in-law passed away, my mother-in-law wanted to move back home to Lavagna, and now we live here on two floors. We still have our house in Livorno on Via degli Scarronzoni, right in front of the Due Comandi. From our two-story home, I can also see the Torre Folgore and the sea. I've known this Gelateria for at least 20 years... And I must say, the new guys are kind... Good at their job. Only those of us who've tasted the old Davide's gelato can notice small differences, but the gelato is excellent, the service is fast, and they're kind. We sat at the outside tables, our 25-kg puppy comfortably seated. We ate our ice cream sundaes.... A small flaw.....the flavors we'd chosen, which were listed on the list they brought to our table, were missing. However, the ones we chose at the table were delicious. 11/01/2026: Cold place, cold bathroom, no soap, awful cooked ham and the worst thing is that for three people we paid 3 euros each for the cover charge, so an absurd 9 euros for the cover charge!

27/12/2025: DON'T GO THERE!!!! I don't know who wrote the 4* reviews.....for us, a Boxing Day to forget! . After being stuck on the highway for 2 hours due to an accident, at 2 pm we looked for an open place to eat in Busalla, I called this restaurant asking if they were still serving and they told us they were open. We sat down at a table of 6 at 2:30 pm. We ordered 2 mixed appetizers, steamed mussels, seafood salad, followed by trofie with pesto, two mixed grills, grilled prawns and sea bream. At 3 pm we received wine and water, then we waited until 4 pm! When they finally brought us something, they delivered steamed mussels (good, the only redeeming dish) along with seafood salad and trofie with pesto (overcooked, unsalted, badly drained pasta and poor-quality packaged pesto)....... The two mixed appetizers never arrived! When the main courses arrived half an hour later, the ribs were RAW and cold inside. The prawns were boiled rather than grilled, with the plate full of water. The sea bream were also partially raw! The price would have been fair for the dishes if the cooking and service had been up to par... €158. The only good thing was the pizza dough-based focaccia that they make fresh in the oven to accompany the main courses!

04/08/2025: It's a tiny place, but the pizza is amazing, and it's cheap, too. The ingredients are simple, fresh, and delicious. A short wait, and then an unforgettable experience.

18/11/2025: Unsatisfactory experience. We ordered gnocchi with mussels and shrimp, and found that the mussels had turned into cuttlefish. This happened completely naturally, without warning us either beforehand or even when the food was served. There were six of us, and we ate at different times, with long waits.

18/10/2025: We were very satisfied with the pizza and the service. Even without a reservation, we were given an extra table despite the restaurant being very busy, and our food arrived quickly. The prices are fair and the food is delicious; we would come back :)
