03/01/2026: The gelato they offer is excellent quality. The texture is a little melty, but it's still a well-made, artisanal product. The flavors are distinct. Not just gelato, but also coffee! The staff is very friendly. I'm not giving it 5 stars because the prices are high.

19/01/2026: Entering this establishment is like stepping into a celebration of local specialties in a grand, old-world style—a truly delightful change from those bland places. Great specialties, a beautiful setting, stylish and friendly staff—a relaxing moment that does so much good. Thank you so much. A tip: if you see Americans ordering hot chocolate and grimace after adding at least seven packets of sugar... don't hesitate to explain what cioccolata calda is. Besides not being surprised or disappointed, they'll actually be curious and happy to try a specialty from northern Italy.

14/01/2026: This historic and beautiful bar, the pride of Genoa's historic center, was opened almost by accident in 1828 by the four Klainguti brothers, Swiss pastry chefs from Pontresina. They arrived in Genoa to embark for America in search of fortune. For a reason unknown to me, they decided to take over the business and settle in this magnificent city. After a period of inactivity, it reopened, and yesterday we went for a herbal tea and some pastries. The setup wasn't the best; the place was packed, and they sat us at a table in the corridor leading to the main dining room. The waitress was very courteous and quick (perhaps too quick), serving us two excellent herbal teas and two pastries. The price of the pastries was fair (€2.50), while the herbal teas were a bit high, for a total cost of about €20.

18/11/2025: Unsatisfactory experience. We ordered gnocchi with mussels and shrimp, and found that the mussels had turned into cuttlefish. This happened completely naturally, without warning us either beforehand or even when the food was served. There were six of us, and we ate at different times, with long waits.

18/10/2025: We were very satisfied with the pizza and the service. Even without a reservation, we were given an extra table despite the restaurant being very busy, and our food arrived quickly. The prices are fair and the food is delicious; we would come back :)

11/11/2025: Excellent bakery in Rapallo, tried exceptional farinata, very good classic focaccia, I recommend it

20/10/2025: We wanted to try the Ligurian focaccia, very similar to other bakeries in the area, good.

10/11/2025: We went to Cialtroneria yesterday, on the recommendation of a friend (the legendary Andrea), and it was a delicious discovery! Initially, we just wanted a quick aperitivo, but the atmosphere and menu convinced us to stop by to try their dishes... and it was absolutely worth it! The food menu is on the wall, and the drinks menu is available via QR code. Special praise to the ladies at the bar: cocktails expertly prepared according to authentic recipes, not "random" as is often the case in other places in Genoa. Quality, courtesy, and hospitality: you really have everything you need. Well done, keep it up! We'll definitely be back.

17/10/2025: The staff was friendly and the location was truly pleasant. The drinks were good and carefully prepared, and the food was excellent, although the portions were a bit small (perhaps because the table was for 11 or 12 people? I don't know). Overall, however, it was a positive experience.

10/10/2025: In Bogliasco, Maa Beach offers a combination of dining and seaside relaxation. The view is truly beautiful. Although the building is dated, we were very impressed with their cuisine. Their pasta with pesto sauce and green beans and their tartare are a must-try. I highly recommend it.

07/10/2025: The bay is beautiful, the bathrooms are nice, but there's a catch... Off-season, on September 29th, the penultimate day of opening, they can't still charge €40 for two loungers and an umbrella! That seems too much to me. And the shower isn't included; if you want a hot one, you have to pay... well,

16/08/2025: We used to come very often for a delicious gelato at Davide's; we're also friends with the previous owners, until they closed. Now we're used to going to a nearby gelateria... Yesterday it was very crowded, so we decided to try the gelato at the reborn Davide's, which, as I wrote before it closed, we'd been going to for many years. In fact, after my father-in-law passed away, my mother-in-law wanted to move back home to Lavagna, and now we live here on two floors. We still have our house in Livorno on Via degli Scarronzoni, right in front of the Due Comandi. From our two-story home, I can also see the Torre Folgore and the sea. I've known this Gelateria for at least 20 years... And I must say, the new guys are kind... Good at their job. Only those of us who've tasted the old Davide's gelato can notice small differences, but the gelato is excellent, the service is fast, and they're kind. We sat at the outside tables, our 25-kg puppy comfortably seated. We ate our ice cream sundaes.... A small flaw.....the flavors we'd chosen, which were listed on the list they brought to our table, were missing. However, the ones we chose at the table were delicious. 28/12/2025: Confusing menu and incompetent staff, a place bordering on legality in terms of hygiene: dirty tables, and when I pointed it out to the staff, they annoyedly passed a semi-damp cloth over them, dropping the dirt on the floor without cleaning it up. There's no children's menu. Ask for a kid-friendly sandwich and they gave me a spicy one. They've already closed once, but with this kind of work, they'll soon be back. They'll definitely never see me again in the entire chain, as this is their standard. Returning after a few years at our son's request, on December 26, 2025, not only didn't improve, but they managed to make things even worse: soft and black fries, probably from extremely used oil, sandwiches and their signature chicken that looked like they'd been taken from the organic waste bin and microwaved. Filthy floors and tables, drinks dispenser filthy as a cesspool... I wonder if anyone's checking. €38 wasted...

08/12/2025: We ate here twice, once for lunch and once for dinner. We definitely won't be returning. Lunch was fine: the food was decent, the staff helpful, the place always quite empty so the service was very quick, and the decor was simple. Dinner was a total disaster...never had a worse sushi experience. The rice was stringy, the fish wasn't fresh in flavor, almost hard in texture, the avocado (usually soft) fell apart at the first bite, and some sauces or dishes, like the saffron rice, completely packaged with the classic supermarket bag flavor. Maybe it was just an unlucky evening, or maybe not, but we're definitely not satisfied with what we ate in relation to how much we spent.

06/03/2026: A lovely, welcoming place, with a truly kind and passionate owner and excellent food...what more could you ask for? The meat is Piedmontese, and that's all there is to it...freshly made fries, crispy and just the right amount of dry, a pesto with an authentic flavor...in short, it's worth stopping for lunch and a hearty aperitivo!
