29/11/2025: A beautiful place, with modern, elegant decor, a bit dark with all the black around it, but it creates a lovely ambiance. A good variety of dishes, from classics to more elaborate dishes; the portions are adequate, and the rice isn't heavy or overdone compared to the fish served. Good service, but it varies depending on when you go: if the place isn't crowded, it's excellent; if it's packed, there's always the risk of a wait, confusion among the tables' orders, or the occasional forgotten dish ordered but never arrived. Similarly, it's advisable to book, especially for the evening shift, especially on weekends and especially in the winter, when it's busier. It's still an excellent choice among sushi restaurants in Genoa!

The kitchen is always open (with an unbeatable quality/price ratio) allowing you to enjoy exceptional dishes at any time. ​The environment is meticulously maintained, clean, and welcoming in every detail. The outdoor seating is simply beautiful, perfect for enjoying the weather, but the indoor dining rooms also offer a warm and relaxing atmosphere. ​Honorable mention goes to the professional, impeccable, and extremely polite staff. You can sense their passion and care for their customers in every gesture. ​If you're in Cogoleto, OroNero is a must-see. Trust us, it's worth a try!

20/06/2025: People complaining about the prices at Puny must think they’re in a beach shack somewhere in rural Italy—not in Portofino, one of the poshest places in the country. This isn’t your local pizzeria in a tiny village—it’s Puny, the iconic spot right on the harbor. Expecting a €10 pasta here is like walking into Chanel and asking for a discount on a handbag. I also assume those people haven’t been to places like St. Tropez, St. Moritz, Ibiza, or Mykonos—where prices are often MUCH higher. For where you are and what you get, I think it’s more than fair. The food? Classic Ligurian and seriously delicious. The staff? Super sharp and genuinely kind—we had a gluten-intolerant child with us, and they handled it with incredible care and attention. The owner is out-going and entertaining, and then there’s my favorite: Renato! So kind, and impressively fluent in many languages. I’ve personally seen Madonna, Diane von Fürstenberg and Jeff Bezos here. I have friends who stop with their boats in Portofino only to have lunch at Puny. This place is basically where celebrities and foodies casually enjoy their “Pappardelle Portofino.” If you want the real Portofino experience—amazing food, top-tier people-watching, and a taste of glam—Puny is the place. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly, casual dinner… this isn’t your spot. Simple as that. PS: If I could only give one advice: a few more healthy and interesting vegetarian options would be wonderful and very much appreciated!

08/12/2025: Rude and surly cashier. We wanted to eat inside the restaurant, and after choosing our order, we were told that to order dinner, we had to go outside and do it from outside. There's no such thing.

18/09/2025: Genoa is the pesto capital, so you expect quality. Here, however, it was one of the worst pestos I've ever tried: too salty. €13 for this dish is a steal; it was worth €8–9 at most. I also had the meat: ordinary, nothing special. For €16, you expect something remarkable, but it was a €10 dish. The salad was already wilted, the bread dry and flavorless, like stale bread. The fries definitely tasted like fried calamari—clearly fried in the same oil—disgusting. I didn't eat them, but they charged me anyway. The service was terrible. The total bill: €53. For what? A meal worse than one at a service station. At least the food is better on the highway. Conclusion: The "cook" is incompetent; anyone can cook better at home. If he thinks he's a chef, he should stop immediately. Answer: Next time, instead of completely denying the poor quality of your restaurant and service, simply change the oil and stop frying fries in the same oil as calamari. The restaurant is awful, the staff is awful, the atmosphere is awful, and the food is simply salty, greasy, and carelessly made. If the pesto is too salty, then the pesto is too salty—it's as simple as that. Since you're in Genoa, at least learn how to make proper pesto; that's the least you can do. If you can't accept criticism and acknowledge that the food is subpar, that's your problem. You can deny it all you want, but the facts don't change, and if need be, I'll continue writing reviews every day. You talk to me about politeness, I'll talk to you about the deplorable quality of your food: get over it, I don't care if you don't have the courage to face the reality of your job. If this is cooking and running a restaurant for you, then clearly we don't have the same standards—and it shouldn't even exist. If the food is rubbish, I won't eat it. That's my standard. Opening a restaurant and not knowing how to make pesto means you should probably look for another job. The same goes for chips that taste like fried squid: it's an absolute disgrace.

21/11/2025: Extensive menu. Very unique and beautifully presented dishes. The quality of what I ate seemed good, but the final result didn't satisfy me. More than anything, it was the consistency. The price was much higher than expected. I was able to dine with a special offer from a popular app, but the value for money seemed high, even at 50%. That should have been the original price at most. What struck me most was the bar, which offers a wide selection of bottles, but they're all empty. And there's no choice for a digestif.

19/11/2025: A tiny restaurant across from the Hotel Porto Antico. It's small but well-maintained, with a stunning frescoed ceiling and a very kind waitress. Traditional seafood and meat dishes, with a few creative twists, but without overdoing it. I tried the exquisite bigoli with pesto and the salmon with pea cream, which was truly delicious, both soft and crispy, without being either raw or stringy (the risks of this dish). Unfortunately, I didn't take a photo of the pistti, which were worth it. I'll be back to try the rest, because it's worth it. The prices, in my opinion, are reasonable.

25/11/2025: This place isn't your average kebab shop, but rather a true Turkish restaurant with many local specialties, everything excellent, from the meat to their simple but delicious bread. Completely satisfied with everything.

11/11/2025: The place is nice with plenty of seating, though unfortunately it's just stools. It's close to the university, which is definitely a plus. The food is good and served fairly quickly, with many interesting options to try. It's a shame, though, that the prices for some of the dishes are a bit high.
