03/05/2026: Recommended by a friend. Unfortunately, we didn't know the restaurant was closed, but the beach bar was open. Aperitif dinner for €30 was very poor, I'd say we were all expecting more. Not easy to get to for those wearing heels because after several uncomfortable steps, you reach the rocks. The bar has no restrooms, which is very strange. I wouldn't recommend it for an aperitif dinner; the menu is poor and the chairs are uncomfortable. It would be useful as a bar in the summer for something cool, but still without restrooms.

28/04/2026: Both the bread and the focaccia are excellent, the ordering is quick and friendly.

29/01/2026: This is my first time at this bakery, but I'll definitely be back. The focaccia is delicious! The lady was extremely kind. Highly recommended.

18/10/2025: The cappuccino was pretty good, the frozen brioche was decent. I don't understand why the brioches aren't croissant-shaped anymore but round ones!

16/08/2025: A shameful aperitivo. The cocktails seemed to be made by a schoolboy and were a complete disaster (the Negroni was served without even a slice of orange). Not to mention the platter (€15 including a drink!): a jumble of pieces of focaccia of various flavors, half-dried, obviously leftovers from the day, covered in some rather sad cold cuts. An experience not to be repeated... Food: 1/5 | Service: 1/5 | Ambience: 1/5 I'm echoing a customer's experience and thank him for taking the words right out of my mouth. He put down on paper the same experience I had last night. The owner was rude even in the morning when we were paying, he left us waiting because a friend had called him and then left. I STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS TO EVERYONE.

03/01/2026: The gelato they offer is excellent quality. The texture is a little melty, but it's still a well-made, artisanal product. The flavors are distinct. Not just gelato, but also coffee! The staff is very friendly. I'm not giving it 5 stars because the prices are high.

01/06/2026: 2 cones. Pistachio, stracciatella, pine nut cream, black cherry variegated. They all tasted pretty much the same: too sugary and you could barely taste the ingredients. The worst was the pine nut cream, which tasted like water.

14/05/2026: There's no need to criticize ice cream or not... But if you run an ice cream shop you should at least be able to put ice cream on a cone.

10/04/2026: I was in Genoa for a week and found this bar to be really excellent for breakfast. The barista was very friendly.

05/12/2025: I've received serious defamation from these people. I don't want to have anything to do with them or their fam... fam M... there's a very short and horrible guy who insults behind my back. Evidently, they have certain conditions, so be careful because they could file defamation lawsuits. There's a clear harassment attitude toward me in this city. You have absolutely nothing to hide? Are you sure?

13/01/2026: We came on New Year's Day and spent it in this very nice and welcoming place. The staff was extremely friendly and always available.

25/12/2025: On Christmas Day, we had lunch at this restaurant like every year. We waited almost two hours for our appetizer when the restaurant owner, Mr. Massimo, served us. We complained about the wait, but instead of apologizing, he told us that next year you can do it somewhere else! He's truly rude, so we definitely won't be setting foot there again! Absolutely not recommended.

24/10/2025: OroNero in Cogoleto: Absolute Excellence! ​This place is a true gem and absolutely worth a visit! Breakfast is a heavenly experience; the croissants are fabulous, freshly filled with care and freshness that make all the difference, not to mention the incredible Ligurian focaccia. ​But the wonder doesn't end there! The kitchen is always open (with an unbeatable quality/price ratio) allowing you to enjoy exceptional dishes at any time. ​The environment is meticulously maintained, clean, and welcoming in every detail. The outdoor seating is simply beautiful, perfect for enjoying the weather, but the indoor dining rooms also offer a warm and relaxing atmosphere. ​Honorable mention goes to the professional, impeccable, and extremely polite staff. You can sense their passion and care for their customers in every gesture. ​If you're in Cogoleto, OroNero is a must-see. Trust us, it's worth a try!

16/10/2025: Despite the language barrier, the service is friendly and helpful, and the food is of good quality. We visited twice during our two days in Cogoleto.

01/05/2026: I placed an order through Just Eat that arrived incomplete. They weren't able to deliver the missing sandwich (and the fact that one sandwich was missing from two menus with a sandwich is already indicative), so we had to do something else. I don't think anything else needs to be said.

22/08/2025: Thursday's aperitif and 1 free drink deal was excellent... Food and drinks 🔝! The only flaw is that if the place closes at 9 PM, shouldn't the staff start sending people away at 8:26 PM? That didn't seem polite at all... At least at 8:50 PM you can start politely asking to leave the table... But not before that! The guy told us at 8:26 PM they'd be closing in 10 minutes... ABSURD.

19/05/2026: We've been coming here for years to get focaccia, always delicious. Unfortunately, since the old owner, a young man who has now opened in another city in Liguria, passed away, this business has completely lost its value. The focaccia is absolutely not what it used to be; the quality has declined, and it's sitting in our stomachs like a brick. Furthermore, the staff behind the counter is not at all as friendly as the old ones: monosyllabic answers, no smiles, and no desire to help. Furthermore, it's often closed before closing time. We've tried stopping by several times to get focaccia here, but it's always been a huge disappointment, so after a certain point, we haven't been back. Highly not recommended.

11/04/2026: Not much. I had a Calabrian-style steak (thin slice of pork with garlic, oregano, and chili pepper). You could taste almost everything except the meat. The carbonara was mediocre. We were told the wait was half an hour; we ended up waiting a little over an hour. I honestly don't recommend this place.

07/04/2026: A very basic but clean and tidy place. Homemade food, well-cooked and plentiful. Reasonable prices.
