23/08/2025: Beautiful, very unique place, with an open kitchen. The Chianina beef is a spectacle, as are the mutton arrosticini. It's wonderful to be able to choose your wine directly from the cellar... We returned the following evening to try the Pan'unto appetizer, very good and unique, made with local products. It was plentiful, and we had dinner there! The tagliata steak was also very good. I recommend it if you're in the area!

17/08/2025: A generous Pan'unto appetizer that fed two people. Mutton skewers with fried potatoes were very good. Everything was very good and reasonably priced. A very unique Vintage location.

20/07/2025: Returning to Up Ristorante Enoteca in Velletri after about two years was a very pleasant surprise. I'd been frequenting the place after dinner since 2015. Well... returning was better than I remembered. The place is becoming more and more refined, year after year. You can see a constant improvement in the attention to detail and the elegance of the atmosphere. The welcome was warm from the first moment: they escorted us to the aperitif area and served us bubbles with homemade appetizers, including breadsticks and a freshly baked focaccia—delicious! A gesture that really struck me was the staff physically opening the menu for you and handing it to you: it's a rare touch these days, but it conveys a sincere care for the guest. The same goes for the bubbles or even the water: they serve it to you, opening the bottle at the table and pouring the first glass for everyone at the table. Details, yes... but they say so much. The table was set with taste and attention: a simple but clean table setting, and a third chair to put bags or coats. A rare touch that I greatly appreciated. We ordered an appetizer and a first course: the service was very quick, and the dishes were generous and of high quality. You could really tell the ingredients were carefully selected. The staff is competent, kind, and attentive. There's a rare continuity, because many of the staff have been working there for years, and you can sense how much they care. They're ready to listen to any feedback and welcome you with a smile. We didn't order dessert just because we were full... but we'll definitely be back for that too!

03/05/2025: Restaurant that has been a point of reference in the area for years to eat fish for my family. I came back today, after some time. Very disappointing experience. The mixed appetizer served cold from the refrigerator. I order an appetizer which on the menu is called "seafood soup with chickpeas". I get a plate with some mussels, chickpeas, a piece of sea bream full of bones and a large crustacean on top (perhaps a leftover from the main course fish soup???). I call the waitress, tell her that perhaps they were wrong, that the appetizer referred specifically to seafood. She tries to convince me that sea bream and prawns are seafood (!!!!). In the end she asks me if I prefer a sauté of mussels and clams, I willingly accept and I also tell her to make me a small portion, because that broth full of thorns had already made me nauseated. Result: he charges me for both dishes - “soup” and sauté. I paid without batting an eyelid, knowing that I will never return here again. A huge disappointment

19/01/2025: We were guests of an 18th last night, and I couldn't help but review the place, the restaurant is really very beautiful, it has various rooms especially outdoors for the arrival of summer, where you can certainly enjoy a beautiful view, the staff who work there are friendly, polite but above all well prepared, and the food what can I say? You eat really well! The only thing that I really liked less, if I have to say, were the gnocchi that "in my personal opinion" were a little rubbery but that doesn't take anything away from the fact that the food is fantastic, and I would gladly go back to eat there on other occasions

10/08/2025: We returned after two years... it was the potato festival, sold out, but they still found us a table. We found the same kindness, the same courtesy. The pizza is thin, with lots of toppings, a real treat. The fried foods are fragrant and light, and the fries are excellent. I'd also like to point out that the prices are the same... Very fair... thanks for the lovely evening.

28/08/2025: Motivated by a previous positive lunch experience a couple of years ago and the overall good reviews, we decided to dine there last night. Overall, it wasn't a positive experience, as everything we ordered was quite disappointing: - The bland appetizer consisted of 4 cold single portions and 5 hot ones, prepared in advance and then assembled, lacking in attention and flavors that were average. - Spaghetti with clams and lupini beans (€20) had a lot of sand. - Mixed grilled fish was salty, very salty, the fish and the cooking were done with little attention. The service is fine; the staff are quick and attentive. The restaurant gets a lot of people, packed on a Wednesday with about 60-70 seats, and will undoubtedly improve, even despite this review. However, I urge them to pay more attention to the food, which is truly disappointing considering the restaurant prices.

22/08/2025: We drove over half an hour specifically to try their lobster linguine, and I have to say it more than lived up to our expectations! The trio of tartares was also delicious. Fair prices and a fair bill.

30/08/2025: There's absolutely nothing bad to say about a restaurant like this, which presumably caters to a clientele that has no problem with their budget, but even if I were Scrooge McDuck, I'd write the same review: NOTHING in this experience justifies the price. The chef is fortunate to have access to the highest quality ingredients... and yet he managed to make us eat decently. It's one of those typical situations where you leave the restaurant and say, "Yes, it's good... but ultimately nothing special." The service is professional but perhaps a bit too ostentatious, while the setting is undoubtedly well-maintained and attentive to certain details, but it's definitely not jaw-dropping. In short, a dinner that will remain in our memories only for the unjustified bill.

23/08/2025: Beautiful dishes, but without soul. All seafood, but without the smell (let alone the taste) of the sea. Truly exorbitant prices. A monkfish main course cost €60, covered in the flavor of a useless and tasteless sauce. The dessert, also beautiful, had nothing sweet about it. Obviously, this is my personal opinion, because the restaurant was packed anyway, and booking was extremely difficult. The bill for four people was €560 (four appetizers, one first course, three second courses, two desserts). In the end, we were served pizza with mortadella...

30/07/2025: Small, authentic, and with one of the best selections of natural wines we tried in Rome. It's close to Campo de' Fiori but away from the hustle and bustle. I went alone one afternoon for a drink while reading and ended up chatting with the waiter, who recommended a wine from southern Italy I hadn't heard of, and I loved it. They have a short but well-curated menu for snacks: cured meats, cheeses, delicious bread, and some warm tapas. The atmosphere is relaxed, somewhat bohemian, with locals and a few curious visitors. Very different from the touristy wine bars in the city center. A place to savor slowly, without rushing. I'll return every time I pass through Rome, because it seemed like one of those places with soul.

23/07/2025: I love the atmosphere and the waiters are very kind and knowledgeable. The wine is good, even the natural one. But please add a 100% plant-based option to the menu! ☘️I can't eat tomato bruschetta every time I come 🤪

29/08/2025: We went at the end of March for the first time and had such a good time that we returned again, this time bringing a couple of friends with us... unfortunately, we didn't find the quality we expected... the friendliness of the guys is not in doubt, on the contrary... but we ordered 4 pizzas and found the side dish (crust) on all of them burned, but not burnt, actually charred. We then asked what type of pasta the gricia was served with and were told with rigatoni, we agreed, it was brought to us with paccheri without first asking if it was okay. Finally, I ordered a tagliata, where over a quarter of it was fat... honestly, I've never been served like this... saying these things to the guy, the response was a disheartened: we're sorry! I really don't know if I'll go back given the different experience the first time, they seemed like two different restaurants. Too bad!
