02/12/2025: This is the typical tourist trap, they tried to push us the most expensive options. They also said something we ordered was not enough to share trying to convince us to order more, luckily I was with a Roman friend who got the vibe from the beginning - there was a table next to us from a Mexican family who got scammed into ordering the Florence steak for everyone, Wich in the menu is listed the price per 100 grams so if you don't know you'll think that's the price of a steak . in the end they ended up paying around 60€ per person, we were staying at the same hotel and they complained in the hallway. Anyway, the food was ok at best, not great

15/11/2025: I went to this place and had a great time. The people who run it are also very friendly and make you feel at home. Not to mention the food, which I found to be superb. Highly recommended, it's an opportunity not to be missed.

28/10/2025: What can I say? I've been there two nights in a row. If you want to eat an amazing granita and an out of the ordinary ice cream, you have to stop by Lolla. A truly obsessive attention to the ingredients makes the ice cream a real experience.

17/09/2025: This place is phenomenal! Angelo who owns it was so helpful and kind. The Roma and the Tricolore were 10/10, especially the Roma sandwich which was one of the best sandwiches i’ve had all over Italy. Please go here!!

03/12/2025: Good food but not mind blowing. We had: - Appetizer platter - the octopus with tomato sauce and fried pumpkin flower with anchovies was amazing - grilled octopus 5/5 - crab pasta 3/5 (I feel there wasn’t enough crab meat and there was many shell pieces, but the taste was good)

29/11/2025: It was truly the best. The food, the atmosphere, the friendly staff—everything was perfect. It was our last day of our honeymoon, and they even gave us complimentary wine, saying it's good for stamina. Haha. Next time, I should bring a baby. Haha... The blonde waitress and a man named Vincenzo were incredibly kind. For wine, be sure to ask Vincenzo. He's a man in his 40s or 50s. We had lobster pasta and steak, and the wine was perfect, so we were incredibly satisfied. It was the best restaurant I've ever had.

14/12/2025: During our stay in Bolsena, we dined at Gió RistoCantina and were thrilled. Located in the historic center, in a convenient and charming location, it boasts an elegant yet welcoming atmosphere, perfect for a special evening. The ambiance is refined, with a modern touch that maintains its local roots. The cuisine is the restaurant's true strength: dishes inspired by local traditions, especially lake fish, but reinterpreted with great creativity. We sampled surprising appetizers, such as marinated whitefish and a savory millefeuille with ricotta and vegetables, followed by a delicate and flavorful first course. The desserts, especially the tiramisu and millefeuille, were simply perfect: balanced, fresh, and beautifully presented. The service was impeccable: the young, knowledgeable, and attentive staff provided expert recommendations for both dishes and wines. The wine list is well-stocked, with carefully selected local and national labels. We also appreciated the value for money, which was absolutely in keeping with the level of experience. One detail that struck us was the restaurant's philosophy: seasonal, local, and high-quality ingredients, treated with respect and imagination. Chef Giorgio Bufalari, with international experience, manages to bring to the table cuisine that speaks of the local area but with a contemporary twist. In short, Gió is one of those places that makes you want to return: for the quality of the food, the atmosphere, and the passion evident in every detail. 16/12/2025: The all-you-can-eat menu was extensive and the service was fairly quick, even though it was Sunday lunchtime. The place is huge. Ample parking. Very fair price.

14/12/2025: Maybe because on Saturday evening, the service was very slow, even 10 minutes per course. We also had to constantly ask the staff in the dining room for information, who, although very kind, didn't speak Italian very well. Many of the fried foods were also cold. It was my first time in this place. I won't be back. What a shame.

03/11/2025: Had a nice evening. Weather was good and I really enjoyed the pasta I ordered. The food is costly but since it tasted good - I didn’t mind the pricing. I would have given half a point extra - but the turn off was the desperation of the staff to try and get you to get the expensive product. As a restauranteur myself - I always tell my team to avoid this. Never try and sell an expensive dish. See what the customer wants and what they will enjoy the most. An upscale space like this should serve bread with they pasta so we can lap the sauce but no. The guy constantly was trying to sell the most expensive wine or bread - so if they didn’t do that - would have been more genuine. Otherwise food was very good.

02/11/2025: Delicious food and excellent service! We booked a table in advance since this place is very popular, and we felt well taken care of throughout the whole evening. I ordered the lobster pasta and it was amazing, though I wish there had been a bit more lobster considering the price. Overall, a great experience!

10/12/2025: Definitely recommend the Diavola pizza! Agha was our waiter and was such a delight! Recommended plenty of great options and did not disappoint.

08/12/2025: We stopped by on Friday for lunch and found authentic Roman cuisine in a renovated, clean restaurant with a very friendly and welcoming owner. Both he and his wife were very welcoming, and told us they had taken over the restaurant and tried to restore it to its former glory after a few years of neglect. The traditional Roman dishes were delicious, with attention to the quality of the ingredients. We'll be back.
