24/03/2025: I went to trattoria tre marchetti for a lovely romantic dinner, the atmosphere and the setting are very pleasant and the decor is unique but effective. The food (we had risotto with amarone and pumpkin with gold leaf) is also very good and the portions are very generous so the very high prices are also acceptable, as far as the food is concerned. The service, which I purposely didn't give even one star, was shocking, in a place like that I expected good service and instead a waitress was almost rude and the dishes weren't even explained so for a €5 cover charge I expected much more. Furthermore, the last criticism concerns the water, which also costs €5, for which I thought at least it would have been poured and instead it was practically thrown on the table with a cry of "still water!". In conclusion, terrible service but the risotto and the atmosphere were impeccable!!!

22/03/2025: L’uniche due cose positive sono la location vicini alla rena e un ottima cantina del cibo preferisco non parlarne figuratevi concludo dicendo che non mi piace parlare di costi non lo ritengo giusto ma questa volta non ne posso fare a meno un acqua depurata da 0,75 L € 5 mi sembra assurdo

15/03/2025: Siamo andati per la cena di laurea di mia figlia e siamo stati piacevolmente sorpresi dalla atmosfera, dal buon cibo e dalla intimità di questo magnifico ristorante. Un locale raffinato ed elegante e dei piatti curati nei minimi dettagli e di alta qualità. Un ringraziamento al titolare per la cortesia e la gentile disponibilità.

15/10/2024: La cosa inaccettabile, per me è che dovevo sostituire uno scontrino, per un disabile, di 7 euro con uno di 8 euro (emesso un minuto prima) NON me l'hanno sostituito, così glie' stata servito addirittura metà porzione. Da anni vado con gli amici, per mangiare vari risi ma la qualità dei risotti da un paio d'anni è veramente scaduta, come risotto ai frutti di mare che non ha minimamente il sapore di pesce e pochissima di esso (visto il prezzo) oltretutto scotto. Invece risotto alla zucca nella norma. All'isolana scotto. Eravamo una 15ina.

09/04/2025: Alcova del Frate: postcard beauty, nightmarish welcome (signed “Maître Arrogance”) Let's say it right away: the place is beautiful. A jewel set in a Verona that smells of history, wine and gastronomic promises. It's a shame that the promises, in this case, have remained to settle in the barrel of arrogance. We are at Vinitaly on April 7th, an intense day. I call at 5pm to book. The owner asks me to fill out an online form (already here, the bureaucracy looks like that of a Soviet embassy). I do it diligently, I call back twice, I receive confirmation that the table is there. Well, I think. How efficient! Here we come. They make us sit in a scenic cellar, with a movie atmosphere. But here's the surprise: fixed menu. 75 euros. Nobody, I mean nobody, had bothered to inform me by telephone. The famous brown risotto? Disappeared into thin air. Upon my request for explanations, the maître d' and the owner display a mix of smugness and excuses worthy of the theater of the absurd. “If you came tomorrow, I would make you the best risotto of your life”. It's a shame that we're at Vinitaly tomorrow too, I even told you so. The key moment, however, arrives when he, with the serious look of a gourmet guru, compares his trattoria (because it is a trattoria) to a three-star Michelin restaurant, thus justifying the fixed menu. Notice that not a single star shines on its sign. We are told, in short: either accept, or out. We chose the door. But first, a classy coup: covered by €27.50, not consumed at all. Complete with the clarification that "it is due". Another gem: the other customers were asked for a credit card to book. For me, via the famous online form, no. But then they thought about making up for it on the display cover. In conclusion: the Alcova del Frate has the appearance of a charming inn, but the cold heart of a Ryanair complaints office. If you want a haute cuisine experience, have a sandwich at Vinitaly. At least there, they treat you better.

29/03/2025: Pranzo con il Club Viaggiatori Gourmet e posso dire che abbiamo scoperto questo posto a conduzione familiare con una vista meravigliosa sul lago di Garda! Il cuoco parte della famiglia a soli 22 anni ci ha preparato dei piatti 5 stelle ! Piatti della tradizione locale un po’ rivisitati ma spettacolari! Anche il sommelier molto preparato, un piacere ascoltarlo ! Grazie a tutti e non vediamo l’ora di ritornare ! 🙂

29/12/2024: Super nice atmosphere, delicious food, we tried: spaetzl with cream and bacon, dumplings, polenta with wild boar. Highly recommended. Excellent and attentive service, very friendly staff. We will come back for sure.

26/03/2025: Young and friendly staff, sweet and savory breakfast with a variety of choices, with a counter well stocked with fresh pastries made by them. We opted for soy cappuccino and pasta both large and delicious 🤤 I highly recommend it, nice atmosphere 😊

23/09/2024: Two stars for free liminchello and good bear. Otherwise i would say touristic trap maybe? High prices for location but the food was horrible! Pizza was soaked with oil and Vongole? Honestly the worst in my life:( Staff wasn’t that nice and it took them long time to notice that we are finish.

05/01/2025: So, I used the service of this restaurant with the work menu so the evaluation is based on a service that is not à la carte but with let's say "fixed" courses. The important thing is that this service has the possibility of choice and this restaurant has this feature. Three first courses, three second courses of your choice, water, wine, and to be honest I don't remember if there was even coffee on the menu. The value for money is good, the table service was good, unfortunately the place like others was a bit chilly and eating in the cold is certainly not a pleasant thing, had it been warmer it would certainly have been better. Not finding a way to reply to the owner, I reply here. It could fit, perhaps due to the quantity of courses it seemed like a work menu to me. But I wasn't mistaken about the place

23/03/2025: Locale accogliente, pulito e ben curato. Servizio preciso, cibo davvero buono. Ottimo il risotto al radicchio ... assolutamente consigliato!

01/01/2025: Serata di capodanno. Ottime le pietanze e il servizio. Unica nota negativa è stata la musica troppo monotona e con una acustica del locale non adatta,è stato solo un noioso e fastidioso rumore. Per il resto tutto bene
