The eggplant parmigiana had charred parts and, contrary to what the menu indicated, the waitress herself admitted, the eggplant was baked instead of fried. The parmigiana portion was small for the price. The waitress who served us seemed interested in upselling us to raise the price rather than caring about customer satisfaction. First, she convinced us to order the pinsa to mop up the sauce, and then she brought the bread, which was included with the service charge, to the table. When we asked her to remove the pinsa, she said it was already in the oven and offered other random excuses, such as the presence of lactose in the bread. The coffee was also poor quality.

He was extremely pretentious and snobbish, treating customers with obvious discrimination and looking down on others. Such rude behavior is a disgrace to Italian hospitality and to a beautiful city like Verona. A good wine isn't worth the bitter aftertaste of such arrogance. I will never return!

Ottime le pappardelle con i porcini e la polenta con la soppressa. Siamo stati allietati dalla presenza di un sedicente sciamano che ci ha illustrato le meraviglie dell'universo e l'appartenenza del singolo al tutto... Con molto rispetto anche in questo caso l'alcol è di aiuto... Pranzo memorabile

21/03/2026: I visited Caffè Zucchi with fairly high expectations, given its central location and fame... but unfortunately, the experience was anything but positive. I'll start with the staff, which in my opinion is the most critical point: cold, unhelpful, and at times downright rude. I'm not talking about a bad day, but a general feeling of annoyance towards the customer. Greetings were almost nonexistent, responses were curt, and the attitude made you feel more like a hindrance than a guest. The management is also perplexing: inflexible, choices imposed without explanation (like where to sit), and zero attention to the customer. It's the kind of place where you get the feeling that people will come anyway, so they don't put much effort into it. The value for money also doesn't help: prices are quite high, but without the service or experience that truly justifies them. In the end, you're paying more for the location than anything else. Furthermore, after further investigation, I discovered some rather serious incidents involving management, with decidedly inappropriate and offensive responses to customers who had left negative reviews. This, personally, further undermines my confidence in the establishment. In short: the place is nice on paper and in a prime location, but the service and attitude need a complete overhaul. There are much better options in Monza where you at least feel treated with respect.
