The best restaurant when visiting Garda.
The starter platter was diverse and innovative, meta cuts out of this world. The steak was tender an juicy. We moved outside to their beautiful garden for coffee and dessert and finally understood the "dolce far niente" philosophy.

18/04/2026: A sure thing! The tortellini are excellent and plentiful, the rib eye is tender and delicious, and the staff is truly kind and helpful. It's wonderful to still find these family-run businesses, an added bonus that, combined with the good food, makes everything perfect!

The atmosphere is rustic, the staff are friendly and helpful, the wine list is extensive, including excellent local wines, and the cuisine, with its home-style flavors, is highly appreciated. Reservations are essential as they're very popular.

29/03/2026: We had the pleasure of dining at Hostaria Marsala 2 in Valeggio sul Mincio, and the experience was truly positive. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a very kind and knowledgeable woman who described the dishes with passion and expertise, immediately putting us at ease.
The food is excellent, with sophisticated pairings and attention to detail, making each course interesting and enjoyable. The attention to detail in the selection of ingredients and preparation is clearly evident.
The service was also impeccable: attentive, professional, and never intrusive.
We definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking refined cuisine in a welcoming atmosphere.

03/05/2026: A lovely place with a beautiful outdoor area. Given the name, I would have expected a more "horsey" feel, especially in the decor. The quality of the ingredients is good, but for a trattoria, the portions are a bit small, especially the cold cuts. The friendliness and attentive service are paramount. We'll be back.
01/05/2026: There were 15 of us, and we had a starter of cured meats with giardiniera, a trio of tortellini, and dessert. Everything was delicious. Excellent service and a beautiful veranda. We had a great time. Recommended.

08/05/2026: We found this wine shop at home on a Monday in Valeggio, where almost everything else was closed! What a lovely surprise! It's very cute and well-kept inside, and the outside is lovely! Excellent by-the-glass options for lunch and excellent bottles for dinner! The Valeggio tortelli are delicious!

12/04/2026: The perfect place for a magical experience, in one of the most beautiful spots in the village, on the terraces overlooking the canal, providing the backdrop for an interesting culinary offering and attentive service.
11/04/2026: We arrived here after wandering around the village, found a spot, and let ourselves be pampered. We ordered the €90 menu for two, which I must say was well-deserved! Delicious Valeggio tortelli, stewed horse meat and polenta, fried polenta appetizers, and finally, a soft apple pie with strawberries and gelato. Plus, a bottle of Valpolicella was included in the price. A beautiful view of the water and exceptional waiter service! I recommend sitting under the awning. I hope to return someday, thank you!

Excellent food. If I may. Recommend a dessert: choose the cheesecake!

The food is good, the atmosphere is very clean, the people are polite and respectful.
The prices are absolutely reasonable.
The good Sessa who wrote the last review should understand that if you're poor, you should go to the sushi place 4 kilometers away and stuff yourself with frozen fish...
This is not a place for rude and ill-mannered people.

We ordered: appetizer of prosciutto and caramelized figs, average.
For the first course, a trio of tortellini, excellent.
Dessert was average.
All washed down with a good bottle of Valpolicella Ripasso.

02/05/2026: A fantastic culinary experience! The tortellini, like the tagliatelle, were something truly moving and difficult to describe. The portions are generous, and the menu offers a wide selection. I highly recommend ordering two or three first courses to sample more delicacies. Among the appetizers, the Venetian prosciutto with caramelized figs is truly exquisite, and among the main courses, the braised beef cheek is unmissable. A special mention goes to the fabulous torta di rose with Chantilly cream: absolutely swoon-worthy! We will definitely return to beautiful Valeggio to try the rest of the menu. Highly recommended!

07/05/2026: The tagliata was good, and the mixed vegetables were really plentiful. The pumpkin ravioli, however, I found a bit too sweet for my taste, so I wouldn't try them again. Overall, though, it's good, and the prices are reasonable.
02/05/2026: On a crowded day, waiting for friends, I chose this restaurant because it was the only one with tables available. Prices are average but a bit excessive for the overall quality. There's no signal (a common problem in Borghetto) or WiFi to back up (in 2026?), and we had to get up early to reconnect.
