23/07/2025: I stumbled upon this little place for lunch on Sunday and was truly satisfied with everything. For our appetizer, we chose a super-tasty platter featuring quality local produce. For our first course, they recommended the truly exceptional ravioli with herbs. Davide, the restaurant manager, is very friendly and professional. Compliments to the chef and the rest of the staff! I'll be back soon!

02/08/2025: Decent restaurant. Unfortunately, it doesn't maintain the quality we were used to. The appetizer was decent, the goose breast was so-so. The lamb chops were nothing special. 1 extra: fresh salad, very good. 2 glasses of wine, 1 bottle of water. The dessert was very good, but I'd say €50 per person was definitely not worth it. 07/07/2025: Great place with incredible views. Rustic surrounding. A lot of green. Warm personnel. Cusine is just superb, zucchini flowers with prosciutto crudo as starter will do just as good. Amazing wines as well. Really recommended

05/08/2025: Even after three years – the same quality. It's amazing what this young team of six can achieve in the kitchen and service. Upscale (but not pretentious) cuisine and competent service. All unpretentious and in a friendly atmosphere. Fittingly, a tastefully renovated restaurant. And all at very reasonable prices. This restaurant is worth a detour.

05/08/2025: Dinner for 4 adults and 1 child tonight, while staying in the area. A wonderful discovery: the location is beautiful and charming, the service impeccable and very pleasant, and finally the food divine: from the appetizers to the dessert. Excellent and memorable!

06/08/2025: Ai Torcoli is one of those places where you immediately feel at home. Located in the Valpolicella hills, it offers a terrace with a splendid view, perfect for a sunset dinner or a relaxing lunch surrounded by greenery. The varied menu features well-executed traditional Veronese dishes in generous portions: the homemade bigoli, the braised beef in Amarone, and the artisanal desserts are excellent. The wine list is extensive, featuring top-quality local labels. The service is courteous, fast, and attentive, without being intrusive. The quality/price ratio is also more than fair, considering the location and the quality of the ingredients. A must-visit for a gourmet escape in the heart of Valpolicella!

23/08/2025: This trattoria was recommended to us by our host, and it was well worth the visit. Contrary to the norm, we ordered two pasta dishes and the Risotto Al'Amarrone. The bigoli with lamb ragù particularly stood out. The restaurant looks simple, but the food is well worth it! 🍝🍇

09/08/2025: La nostra visita al Ristorante Villa Velar è stata davvero piacevole. I primi piatti erano ottimi e la frittura di pesce era squisita. Il crudo di pesce risultava essere un po' troppo morbido (non sembrava fresco) e peraltro senza gusto. Il personale era gentilissimo e preparato sulle pietanze servite, il che ha reso l'esperienza ancora più piacevole. La loro conoscenza dei piatti e la disponibilità a rispondere alle domande hanno dimostrato un alto livello di professionalità. I prezzi sono medio-alti, quindi è un ristorante che si rivolge a una clientela che cerca qualità e non bada a spese. Se cercate un ristorante con piatti di pesce di alta qualità e un servizio eccellente, Villa Velar è una scelta ottima. Se siete disposti a spendere un po' di più per una esperienza culinaria di alta qualità, questo ristorante fa al caso vostro.

12/08/2025: The best meal I had in the Lake Garda area. The marinated trout main course was one the best meals I have eaten in a long long time. Excellent staff who were happy to answer questions. Nice location, just off the main promenade. We booked in advance and all the tables filled up pretty quick by 8pm.

18/08/2025: Everything was excellent. We were passing through on our motorcycle and stopped for dinner. The burger was excellent, as was the prosciutto and burrata appetizer. The waiters were friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was pleasant with a vintage feel, all accompanied by pleasant background music. We'll gladly return.

19/08/2025: A renowned and excellent risotto restaurant in Isola della Scala. I've been there more than once and have always been delighted: from the service to the food to the wines. Fair prices and excellent food quality. Among my favorite risottos are the pumpkin risotto, the leek risotto, and the scallops risotto.

09/08/2025: Rustic and comfortable atmosphere with friendly staff. We ordered an appetizer of arancini with rice in Amarone and Gorgonzola, truly exceptional, followed by risotto all'isolana and risotto with lilac rice, shrimp, and lemon: both delicious, the rice perfectly cooked. We finished with sbrisolona and zabaglione and rice cake tiramisu, both very good, and a special mention for the tiramisu, which was soft, smooth, and flavorful with a fresh mascarpone...it melted in your mouth. The price was more than fair. Recommended.

17/08/2025: Highly recommended for savory dishes. Fair prices and very delicious pasta. You’ll get a welcome drink, pizza bread, mango ice and limoncello at the end for free. Definitely try the Gnocchi. However, avoid the desserts. They are frozen ones. Other than that a super place!

17/08/2025: We absolutely loved the place! The place is as good as the reviews - we went with a 2 month baby yesterday and had the best food and best service! Very friendly and the taste of the food, especially the seafood - is unmatched. Thank you very much! The only small feedback would be to set up air conditioning or colder setup in summers (for 10 stars). 5 star place with excellent service!
