07/05/2026: We stayed here for two days with our dog. A very nice and quaint hotel, the room was clean and spacious with a spectacular view of the mountains (photo attached). The convenience of having the restaurant/pizzeria on site was a plus; we were out and about all day, and we'd dine there at night. The breakfast was superb; they set our table in the dining room with many delicacies, not to mention they even brought us an excellent charcuterie board. On-site parking. The staff was extremely kind and attentive to our every need. The hotel's location is strategic, as from Arnad it's easy to reach both the Blu Lake with a view of the Matterhorn and Lake Gover with a view of Monte Rosa in 50 minutes by car. The nearby villages are also truly charming, such as Bard, Chemp, etc.

02/05/2026: Excellent restaurant for eating meat, meat, and more meat! Large portions. They don't serve first courses. Excellent selection of meat. Recommended.

07/03/2026: If you're a meat-eater and want to be sure you'll leave satisfied, this is the place for you. There's no option for starters, but the owner will let you know when you book. Respectable wines to accompany the meal. A must-try.

14/11/2025: Despite the low season, by booking early, the host opened the farmhouse just for us (a group of eight). She looked after us with care and love throughout our stay. The atmosphere is familiar, meticulously maintained, and incredibly welcoming. Excellent local cuisine, all served with local wine. The set menu was so extensive that we were already full by the end of the appetizers. The price was more than fair. Highly recommended. ⛰️

09/02/2026: Five very enjoyable days of skiing. The facility is clean, well-maintained, and modern, with a bar and restaurant (excellent food), run by friendly and always helpful staff. The view of Aosta and the mountains in the valley is stunning, and there's roadside parking 100 meters from the facility. There's a ski locker. The only downside: it's close to the intermediate stop for the cable car (Les Fleurs), but you have to walk about 300 meters, which isn't feasible with ski boots on (so we rented a ski locker at the cable car arrival point, so we didn't have to use the car anymore). Overall, the facility is excellent, exceeding expectations!

01/05/2026: We headed here because of the excellent reviews, but we found the animals were poorly cared for and quite endearing, the risotto was very runny, and the food was overall mediocre. However, the kindness was there, which is always a plus. I'm sorry.

08/04/2026: Dinner for two at this farmhouse in the "eliporto" area of ​​Pollein, near Aosta. Prices are perfectly in line with other restaurants in the area, the food is truly excellent, and the owners are very courteous and helpful. The restaurant is located on the upper floor of the building, right next to the cowshed, surrounded by greenery, with ample parking. The home-made cuisine is very tasty, and the wines are also very good. Approved and recommended!

01/01/2026: We landed here accidentally for lunch as all other restaurants in vicinity were closed on Christmas. The ladies at the counter were very considerate and helpful to accommodate us despite the restaurant being full. The food was good and the restaurant offered good vibes plus amazing service.

01/03/2026: We vacationed in Courmayeur, and unfortunately we only stayed at Baita Ermitage on the last night of our stay, because I'm sure it would have been our regular stop. Baita Ermitage is the kind of place you look for on a typical day in the mountains, perhaps after a long, tiring ski trip: a traditional refuge full of stories, where you're welcomed and pampered by the staff and where you can refuel with traditional Aosta Valley cuisine. Every dish we ordered had the flavor of the Aosta Valley; the portions are generous, and the price is fair for the quantity and quality offered. The view is breathtaking at night, let alone during the day...

27/02/2026: We came here because a friend recommended it, and I'm really happy with it! The owner picked us up at the Courmayeur Hotel and took us there. For appetizers, we had the apple salad (excellent), the salmon trout (of the day and also very good), the tomini with chives (good), and the fondue rolls (basic, but good). For main courses, we had polenta with rabbit, polenta with mushrooms, and a paillarde, all very good. It's very easy to talk, there's not a lot of noise, and it's suitable for groups of 1 to 10 or more. The setting is beautiful, in the stone, typical of a mountain hut. However, the desserts leave much to be desired. The tiramasu, instead of having mascarpone cream and coffee, had yellow lemon cream and chocolate. The chestnuts with cream tasted like nothing, but the warm raspberries with ice cream were very good. Overall, the restaurant has many strong points, but one weakness: the desserts.

21/02/2026: Didn’t sleep in the hotel but stayed nearby and came here for dinner. The staff are incredible, the food is exactly what you need after a day on the slopes. They send you the menu in the morning with what’s freshly made that day. A great place to eat if you’re in the area for local food!

20/03/2026: The place look good, as well as the food. But I got a bad experience with the reservation an table management, we went at 8 to book a table, that they book for us at 9, when we arrive they said that the customers of the table were about to finish so we wait 5 min outside, and in this 5 minutes they gave the table to another group and told us that we would need to wait to another table to get free. The basically did not care about our reservation, priority and time. What it is unfortunate because we really wanted to try their food, but we where not going to wait undefinit time because they jump/push out reservation.
