27/04/2025: Great place for lunch. Fresh, local foods. Wonderful selection of wines. Gluten free options, just inquire with the staff. In the back there is a beautiful covered seating area with lots of plants and natural light. The front has a selection of oils and special products from the area. I would definitely come here again! I had the steak tartar special and it was most excellent.

23/03/2025: Als toerist gewoon maar even een aanbeveling gevraagd voor een goede lokale wijn. Met veel passie kregen we van de verschillende lokale wijnen een uitleg te horen.

25/05/2025: We came across it by chance, expensive for what we ate, €140 excessive for 4 people, I don't recommend the desserts fortunately nor did we only take two, the 🍰 had a very strong taste of baking powder and the salted caramel, inedible with the amount we spent not even the bottle of wine we took. It says a lot

30/04/2025: Professional and welcoming service, good cutting board and even the (brushed) plates of gnocchi with blue cheese fondue lacked a bit of punch, very delicate (I preferred a stronger flavour). The carbonada was very good but the portion was a little small. The environment needs to be revised, it seems that the rather run-down place does not reflect the cuisine and the care taken in the dishes.

03/05/2025: I discovered this restaurant thanks to the instructions of a lady who works in a pastry shop in the town, when I arrived I was welcomed into a beautiful environment, made to sit down then I went to the boss, I was brought a very welcome entree of Russian salad, the serving came into view, a truly beautiful dish with various sauces and anchovies which were the death of them with the excellent meat truly perhaps the best serving I have eaten, then I moved on to the asparagus, what can I say spectacular, all in a setting of impeccable service and kind. Congratulations to all

20/04/2025: I stayed at the Baita Ermitage and I had a very good time. The property is well-kept, in a quiet location and with a beautiful view. The possibility of relaxing on the deckchairs outside is a plus that really makes the difference, especially on sunny days. An ideal place to disconnect and enjoy some quiet in the mountains.

28/05/2025: On the recommendation of Mrs. Maddalena, whose B&B we were guests of, we went to dine at this restaurant located right in the old town of Aosta. We were very satisfied, so much so that we returned again, because it has a wide variety of both classic and regional dishes. From lasagna to risotto, from the very delicate Aosta Valley delights (a plate of cheeses, cured meats, Arnad lard, chestnuts), to pork fillet, pumpkin gnocchi, etc., even pizzas that we have not tried, all truly valid at an absolutely honest price. The staff was very kind. It is a pleasure to still find restaurateurs who know how to interpret their profession with professionalism and passion. Not to be missed.

27/05/2025: four pizzas with friends... slow service although kind. pizzas are average, we lack the touch to be excellent. the outside tables are a bit narrow, the waitress passes by millimeter and the chairs are rather wedged especially for large sizes like mine. all good... could still be better

06/04/2025: Family lunch the day before the lifts close... very comfortable self service, super friendly staff, everything very good and fair prices for the enchanting place that is always Torgnon!

31/03/2025: Nice place for a drink while skiing. Their hot chocolate is tasty and the coffee is good. Nice views from the terrace and if you are lucky it is fully in the sun.

11/09/2024: September 2024 - Location I consider among the most evocative as regards our Alps, face to face with the Gran Paradiso massif. Cuisine with traditional dishes from the Aosta Valley.... well-presented appetizers... excellent tomini in green sauce... pasta fresh...polenta...meat...game...trout...etc..etc..prepared with careful care and with excellent quality ingredients...plus for the stewed deer..A particular and subjective consideration despite the fact that it is a rich...substantial cuisine...congratulations to the...chef!!!!!...who..."tames everything"..with the result of tasty flavours, without excess...which they tempt you to try a few more. "Never..Very varied choice of options including desserts. Attentive service...and prepared...a round of applause for the pleasant welcome certainly from the owner and the entire team of collaborators. Highly recommended. .... already visited by me a couple of times... there will be no shortage of other sorties....Well done....!!!!!!!!

04/09/2024: There were 5 of us who took two plates of typical cured meats and cheeses, a Cogne sosa, polenta concia and mushrooms, polenta concia and trio of meats, trio and normal polenta and polenta and carbonada, a cream from Cogne. The typical dishes are rather small and miserable, two tiny pieces of cheese. The Sôsa is rather unrelated but quite good. The polenta concia is superb, the mushrooms abundant, the meat and carbonada good while the sausages are not as good as the rest. The polenta is excellent. The Cogne cream is good. Quick service, very friendly staff, we will be back. We spent €33 per person with water, wine and three coffees

15/04/2025: Very beautiful hotel in a twentieth-century romantic style, we only spent one night so we didn't use the services such as the gym and spa, nor the restaurant (closed for the end of the season), but judging by the quality and quantity of the breakfast that was served to us, I can only think that it was excellent! One aspect that pleasantly surprised us was the possibility of having a personalized menu for your 4-legged friends cooked by the restaurant chef, we didn't have our dog with us during our stay but it was a nice surprise. The staff was always very kind and helpful, we can only recommend this hotel and we do not rule out returning in the future.

19/03/2025: Abbiamo cenato qui una sera, e siamo stati obbligati a tornare. Piatti ottimi, location spaziale, gentilezza massima. Simpaticissimo e competente il maître Adam, ci è rimasto nel cuore! Il primo più buono che abbia mai mangiato: pappardelle al ragù di cervo (l’unica nota, porzione leggermente stretta). Consigliatissimo!

04/04/2025: Beware of tourist trap! Having seen good comments we went there... Unfortunately the management has changed and the food is terrible! 2 almost inedible pizzas, 1 four cheeses or apart from mozzarella there was nothing else! It's stupid, Italy is the country of pizza and a flavorless hamburger. Add to that 2€/person for the service! Even my children didn't want to have dessert because it was so bad. Service without more. Overall very disappointed

21/03/2025: Quelle déception depuis le changement de direction, nous qui venons tous les ans en famille, ça a été la douche froide ! Nouvelle patronne très désagréable, oublié l’accueil à l’italienne avec la charcuterie et le fromage, sans oublier le digestif ! Carte réduite et propreté qui laisse à désirer. Bref ce n’est plus un restaurant familial mais une machine à fric. Ciao ! Nous ne reviendrons pas. En espérant que les moniteurs ESF trouvent un meilleur refuge pour leurs élèves…

30/03/2025: Ottimo pranzo tipico nel centro di Gressoney Saint Jean: tagliere di salumi e formaggi con, a seguire polenta con uovo e speak. Servizio eccellente. Assolutamente consigliato.
