Dinner for two at this farmhouse in the "eliporto" area of ​​Pollein, near Aosta. Prices are perfectly in line with other restaurants in the area, the food is truly excellent, and the owners are very courteous and helpful. The restaurant is located on the upper floor of the building, right next to the cowshed, surrounded by greenery, with ample parking. The home-made cuisine is very tasty, and the wines are also very good. Approved and recommended!

A very cute and welcoming place with a family atmosphere. Excellent quality food. If you're in Aosta, it's super easy to get to, with parking right in front. The wait staff is incredibly kind and professional, always attentive to your every need. The portions are more than generous. The price was perfectly in line with what we ate.

I have a weakness for agritourism restaurants. Their menus are limited but high quality. I've eaten there well, but the highlight is the wait staff, who is extremely polite and always smiling... and the moka pot coffee is a real treat. I wish I'd visited while it was snowing; it would have been even better.

01/01/2026: We landed here accidentally for lunch as all other restaurants in vicinity were closed on Christmas. The ladies at the counter were very considerate and helpful to accommodate us despite the restaurant being full. The food was good and the restaurant offered good vibes plus amazing service.

Baita Ermitage

01/03/2026: We vacationed in Courmayeur, and unfortunately we only stayed at Baita Ermitage on the last night of our stay, because I'm sure it would have been our regular stop. Baita Ermitage is the kind of place you look for on a typical day in the mountains, perhaps after a long, tiring ski trip: a traditional refuge full of stories, where you're welcomed and pampered by the staff and where you can refuel with traditional Aosta Valley cuisine. Every dish we ordered had the flavor of the Aosta Valley; the portions are generous, and the price is fair for the quantity and quality offered. The view is breathtaking at night, let alone during the day...
27/02/2026: We came here because a friend recommended it, and I'm really happy with it! The owner picked us up at the Courmayeur Hotel and took us there. For appetizers, we had the apple salad (excellent), the salmon trout (of the day and also very good), the tomini with chives (good), and the fondue rolls (basic, but good). For main courses, we had polenta with rabbit, polenta with mushrooms, and a paillarde, all very good. It's very easy to talk, there's not a lot of noise, and it's suitable for groups of 1 to 10 or more. The setting is beautiful, in the stone, typical of a mountain hut. However, the desserts leave much to be desired. The tiramasu, instead of having mascarpone cream and coffee, had yellow lemon cream and chocolate. The chestnuts with cream tasted like nothing, but the warm raspberries with ice cream were very good. Overall, the restaurant has many strong points, but one weakness: the desserts.
