02/01/2026: A refuge nestled at the foot of the Mont Blanc glacier. A charming spot with excellent food. You'll find traditional dishes as well as alternatives to the classic dishes featuring local cheeses. You can reach the place on foot via a long but stunning hike through the entire Val Veny, or, as we did, by mountain bike rented in the valley. You can safely store your bike. The service is fast, young, and attentive, and the place is very clean. Accommodation is available on the upper floor for those who want to continue exploring the valley on subsequent days. Highly recommended.

14/03/2026: Today, Saturday, March 14th. This restaurant was highly recommended. We had polenta concia and val pelinese. Everything was truly delicious. Including the baked pears with exceptional ice cream. VERY CLEAN AND PROFESSIONAL SERVICE. CONGRATULATIONS AND WELL DONE!
09/03/2026: I'll start by saying I'm celiac. The staff is knowledgeable and attentive to gluten-free options, and the cuisine is traditional and excellent. The hazelnut and beetroot risotto, the venison steak, and the beef cheek are all top notch. The Mont Blanc mousse is superb!
Pleasant atmosphere, excellent wine. Fair prices.

07/03/2026: Excellent. The owners are helpful and courteous. They found us a table even though we hadn't booked. The set menu was very affordable. We ate very well.
27/02/2026: We come to Aosta every year, and Aldente is a restaurant where we go at least once.
Everything is consistently delicious,l. A special mention goes to the chocolate fondant: it is absolutely fantastic and a must-order. In fact, it is one of the main reasons our children always ask to come back!
That said, it’s not just about the dessert. Everything on the menu is excellent. Thank you for another wonderful experience. We look forward to coming back again next year.

02/03/2026: This little trattoria is a gem, away from the tourist bustle, but only a 10-minute walk from Aosta's main square. The menu is small and thoughtful, with perfectly-executed dishes that change seasonally, and a deep and interesting wine list. It's also a great value, with prices that are considerably less than other parts of the town, for better quality. Call for a booking, as the charming but small space fills up quickly.

24/01/2026: We ate quite well, but unfortunately we found the portions a bit small. The dessert wasn't particularly special. The wine was excellent.
30/12/2025: A small, very welcoming restaurant with a wooden interior. There aren't many seats, so it's always a good idea to reserve a table. We went here for lunch and it was a great experience.
We had a mixed platter of cured meats and cheeses (all very good, especially the goat's blue cheese and the lard 🤤), while our friends had a tartare with a bagna cauda sauce, which was amazing.
We then had beef ribeye and a Valdostana steak (not breaded). There are also different off-menu options every day.
To finish, apple strudel with cinnamon ice cream and a pear bun with mulled wine.
Everything was absolutely delicious!!

We had tagliolini with wild boar ragù, fillet with green peppercorns, and Valdostana steak...all EXCELLENT.
The meat is incredibly high quality and the prices are fair.
Highly recommended.

14/11/2025: Despite the low season, by booking early, the host opened the farmhouse just for us (a group of eight). She looked after us with care and love throughout our stay. The atmosphere is familiar, meticulously maintained, and incredibly welcoming. Excellent local cuisine, all served with local wine. The set menu was so extensive that we were already full by the end of the appetizers. The price was more than fair. Highly recommended. ⛰️
