A small Aosta Valley trattoria just steps from Fénis Castle and the MAV Museum. A welcoming and simple place. The staff is helpful and friendly. Excellent food: tasty and strictly local.

A medium-sized restaurant at the entrance to town. The menu is on a blackboard with few, but intriguing, notes. Quality, locally sourced products, exquisite dishes, and generous portions of the first courses. The pumpkin flan with goat's cheese fondue is fabulous; you barely taste the pumpkin, but the fondue is fantastic. Perhaps the quantity/price ratio isn't exactly right. The macaroni with toma cheese and pepper is very good; perhaps a bit too much pepper, but overall very flavorful. The Valdostane crepes served in a small saucepan are creamy; perhaps a bit too much cheese compared to the ham, but still a good dish.

Overall, a good dinner. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with quick and attentive service. The selection of local cured meats and cheeses was truly excellent. For main courses, we had crepes alla valdostana and polenta concia with fondue. It must be said, the cheese was very good, but that was all you could taste. Unfortunately, the portions didn't seem very balanced, and despite the very pleasant flavor, the difference between the two dishes was minimal; everything was drowned in abundant fondue. It all filled us up almost immediately; we couldn't finish both dishes (which we shared) because the portions were so generous, and we didn't have room for dessert. Three stars also for the bill, which I found a bit high: a half-liter of house wine was €10 (it wasn't listed on the chalkboard menu) and the liqueurs were €4 each. Nearly €35 per person is a bit high for the area; we've paid much less elsewhere. Overall, not a very pleasant surprise. Overall, it's a nice evening, but there's room for improvement.

We stopped by chance on Thursday evening. The food was excellent and the portions generous. We were warmly welcomed and had a lovely evening. We'll definitely be back.

Di ritorno dalla Francia, abbiamo deciso di fermarci qui sulla base delle ottime recensioni trovate e abbiamo fatto benissimo. Ottima cucina casalinga e personale gentile e accogliente. Abbiamo mangiato Casarecce con ragù di salsiccetta e Carbonade con polenta. Superlativa anche la panna cotta. Straconsigliato.

Sehr gute regionale Küche; freundliches Personal; gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Ausreichend große Porotionen.
