La Cabane du Combal, located between Lake Combal and Lake Miage, can be reached with a comfortable walk of about an hour from the end of the Val Veny road. It is an old renovated restaurant and is an excellent starting point for trips to Val Veny.

Nice cafe on the way to/around Montblanc. Delicious pastry, very friendly and helpful staff (speaks English!). Coffee was also above average. A perfect example of mountain hut! I really enjoyed my short stopover there. Can definitely recommend it to everyone who will be passing it by :)

What a wonderful stay…. Throughout the TMB you come across accommodation… this place stood out because they treated you like guests.. They welcomed you into there place as they were happy to have you… wonderful people, wonderful food… wonderful place to stay…

Wonderful staff, clean and nice rooms, great shower (after two days without one). And the walk from Elisabetta to Combale is stunning, with magical streams around, especially when the sun is beginning to set and the light sparkle over the water.

Clean rooms, bathrooms and good food. But the real stars are the staff. Special shout-out to Alessio, who made us feel very welcome. My Italian husband enjoyed the hospitality and felt right at home. We met lots of fun guests too. Would recommend if your mileage brings you near this refuge.

18/03/2024: Excellent restaurant, finally a place in Aosta with great food, excellent service and more than honest prices. A dinner for two without missing anything 50 euros. Super helpful waiters, fresh and tasty pasta and excellent fish. I didn't know this place but I will definitely be back. Thank you
26/02/2024: Welcomed for a weekend lunch without reservation, 4 different first courses, all with handmade pasta and very fresh condiments. I dared the first "maison", with a curry sauce and sausage, truly surprising. Seeing is believing! We will definitely be back.
