01/04/2025: Very well-kept and welcoming environment in a village suspended in time; staff always kind and helpful, but at the same time discreet. You immediately feel at home and pampered. Super breakfast!

03/05/2025: We stopped while passing through Castel Savoia with the intention of a quick lunch... but between excellent food, stupendous view of the Roman bridge and the friendliness of the service we stayed much longer than expected. Great find!

01/05/2025: The place is large and cozy. We saw a lot of workers eating there, so it made a good impression on us. However, after ordering, we realized that because we were tourists, they had not given us the same menu as the local people. They were eating a "menu" and they didn't offer it to us. The food was delicious, although we were not impressed and the price was too high for the quality and quantity.

03/01/2025: Excellent service from the waiters, very kind and attentive even with children. For the little ones there is a bib and cup with plate and cutlery on the table ♡ We ate wonderfully and given that it's good value for money we'll be happy to return. Go ahead like this!

02/11/2024: Beautiful location, excellent welcome and service. Excellent dishes and prices in line. Happy to have "fallen back" on this restaurant following the two of spades received from many other restaurants in Cogne which, despite obviously not being fully booked, claimed to be.

04/02/2025: "Summer" refuge well managed by the affable and friendly owners. Typical Aosta Valley cuisine with excellent dishes and excellent desserts (the Chaligne cake in particular!!!). Comfortable rooms.... And a couple of "Sky boxes" to admire the starry sky. Easy to reach via the farm road either on foot or by bicycle. In addition to the cows from the nearby mountain pasture, there are some alpacas used as walking companions. Must visit!!!

04/05/2025: This evening, during my dinner at the hotel restaurant, I witnessed a scene that deeply saddened me and raised serious reflections on the professional ethics of the staff. The reception manager displayed decidedly inappropriate behaviour, addressing his colleagues in inappropriate tones and very colorful insults, despite the presence of customers in the room. In addition to the discomfort deriving from witnessing such a scene, what struck me most was the fact that the people insulted were workers with disabilities, in a context that defines itself as inclusive and ethical. A work environment that should guarantee respect and serenity to its employees seemed, at that moment, far from these principles. At the end of the dinner, I expressed my disappointment directly to the manager, suggesting greater attention in managing staff and communicating with customers. Unfortunately, I received no response of understanding or apology for what happened, but only a justification aimed at defending his behavior. I believe that as a place that aims to be a respectful and inclusive environment, it must pay particular attention to the training of its staff, so that incidents of this type do not happen again. I hope that what happened was an isolated episode and that in the future measures will be taken to ensure a more peaceful and respectful working climate for everyone. (Special praise goes to our waiter who, despite what happened, never stopped smiling at us and managing the situation at the tables. I would give him 5 full stars!)

14/02/2025: Not a recent but still well-kept structure located in Fenis, a few kilometers from Aosta. The hotel is easily accessible from the state road and has a large free car park, with attached charging stations for electric cars. There is a restaurant, and this is a nice plus, especially if you return after a long day of walking and cultural visits around the region. Room service is managed by young, kind and attentive staff in line with the hotel's mission, which adheres to a beautiful hospitality and accessibility project: more information about this is available and well detailed on the website. The gastronomic offer, which is good and varied, integrates tradition and sustainability. The rooms are well kept, they contain all the services that one might expect in relation to the category of the hotel. The only flaw is the TV, too small... but you can ignore it. The cleanliness was good, as was the kindness and helpfulness of all the staff. Pleasant stay, positive experience.

29/05/2025: Gianluca’s was incredibly welcoming and the whole experiance was wonderful. The food was excellent! It felt like being welcomed into the family. Truly wonderful people here, Vacherie should not be missed. I will be going out of my way to return here again!

24/05/2025: Una vecchia baita con due splendidi camini e un meraviglioso giardino con braceri che rendono un’atmosfera magica. La trota di Morgex era ottima. Gianluca maestro dì ospitalità. Se cercate la formalità…… beh avete sbagliato posto! Qui si respira un’aria autentica, sapore di montagna con quei tocchi di ecletticita’ e poesia che ti fanno sentire tra amici , quelli veri , una porta aperta ad una serata in compagnia di un buon calice e cibo sincero.

30/04/2025: I ate for lunch today at this family-run restaurant. Nice room, simple but clean. Fixed price menu with a choice of three first courses, two second courses and a side dish. Delicious ricotta and spinach ravioli with butter and sage. They gave us both the goulash and the scallop (excellent) with baked potatoes. Water and coffee including cover charge for 13 euros. I will definitely come back!!!

02/06/2025: We went there for dinner, it is recommended to call to book, especially on weekends/long weekends. They made us sit on the ground floor next to the entrance, in front of the bar. Excellent and abundant dishes and good quality / price ratio!

12/03/2025: Really nice Italian restaurant. Service is super good and they really take care of guests. A large outdoor grill is popular. The typical Italian dishes, like pasta and tiramisu, are super good. Happy to come again.

07/03/2025: We visited the Igloo Bar Restaurant Grill every day this week while skiing. Oh my god, the desserts made with so much love and passion - DELICIOUS - everything we tried. The owner and all of the staff were extremely friendly and we just felt wonderful. Grazie mille ! And besides the great deserts all the food was so good (great grill).

09/05/2025: I was confident of the good reviews but I was disappointed. Nice location. Two of us had an appetizer, a first course for me and a second course for my husband. The starter arrived together with my first course... Bad move. And then came his second. My first sedanini with smoked trout was nothing special. Too al dente for my taste and the little pieces of trout were barely visible. My husband was satisfied with the fillet. Waitress not smiling and apparently annoyed. He didn't understand that we were going to share the starter. My husband asked her if it was possible to replace the side dish included in the second course (according to him, only potatoes were included) with a salad. At first she said it wasn't possible but that she would go and ask and then it happened forgot The other waiter probably the owner was kinder and knew what to do and said that there was no problem with the salad. Too bad...I would have liked to feel better.

05/05/2025: Siamo stati a mangiare la sera in questo ristorante ed io e il mio ragazzo siamo stati molto delusi sulla fonduta che proponevano in menù, mai sentito parlare di fonduta fatte con la panna è uno scempio una bestemmia alla cucina locale della valle d'Aosta... Sicuramente se avete voglia di fonduta questo è un posto dove non venire, cameriere molto scortese nei miei riguardi quando gli abbiamo fatto presente della fonduta chiedendo spiegazioni sembrava infastidito della cosa con un brutto modo di fare... Solo i secondi si sono salvati... Mai più
