What made the experience worse was the staff — especially the guy at reception, who was extremely rude and unwelcoming. There are far better options in the area. I would recommend staying away.

05/03/2026: A rip off by charismatic owner. We ordered lasagna and a steak. When I tried lasagna - I felt it was cold inside, which only means one thing - it wasn’t freshly cooked! I told this to the owner and he offered to warm it 😂 it’s a very bad place for food (although some of them are ok - steak was ok, but not good). Their menu is endless which also talks about the food quality. Finally, 0.375 bottle of very average wine for 25 euro is too much - in almost any good nearby restaurant you’ll get much better wine for the price.

07/02/2026: Everything is excellent and the prices are reasonable.
26/01/2026: We were extremely disappointed with the food at this restaurant. I ordered polenta concia, which initially turned out to be extremely bitter. Then, towards the end, I noticed that there were numerous melted cheese rinds inside (probably uncleaned rinds), making the dish so bitter that it was indigestible and even causing severe nausea. Serving the scraps as the main ingredient completely ruins the flavor and quality of the food. The other dish I ordered, a cotoletta alla valdostana, was, if anything, even more absurd: the breading consisted exclusively of ham and cheese, with no trace of meat whatsoever. Essentially, the cotoletta was missing the key ingredient. Finding scraps of cheese on one side and a complete absence of meat on the other is unacceptable. We won't be returning and we strongly advise against it for anyone looking for carefully prepared cuisine. It's a shame, because the staff and the restaurant are welcoming.

27/01/2026: I was planning on making a reservation for dinner, but we had to go in to see the menu because it wasn't displayed at the entrance or outside (😉). We had to search for it under the visibly annoyed gaze of the owner (the proverbial Aosta Valley welcome 😢). Prices were like jewelry stores, so on my way out, my eye fell on a freezer in plain sight in the bar area, a chest-type freezer with glass through which I could glimpse every type of frozen dish... Too bad there wasn't an asterisk on the menu (we remind the owner that frozen products must be declared on the menu, as the very amusing Article 515 of the Italian Criminal Code applies, which punishes commercial fraud, where these products are served and are listed). So I opted for another restaurant, preferring FRESH specialties at much lower prices. If I really want to eat frozen ones, I'll eat them at home (or maybe not even at home). Best regards

18/01/2026: Simply a fantastic experience! The restaurant is located at 1,480 meters, with a warm, characteristic mountain interior. The staff is truly friendly and makes you feel right at home, in a familiar and welcoming atmosphere. The food is incredible: everything is delicious, homemade with excellent quality ingredients. The portions are generous and the prices are absolutely fair. The fondue gnocchi are truly magical, while the polenta with meats is breathtaking. All this is accompanied by a wonderful view of Mont Blanc, which makes the experience even more special. It's not a tourist restaurant. Here, the cuisine is authentic local! I highly recommend it, I'll definitely be back!

28/02/2026: Family dinner while passing through, something didn't convince me, the service was too fast, and above all the bourguignonne was exorbitantly priced, we ate well, but nothing more!
23/02/2026: We went to eat at this restaurant. The welcome was adequate, nothing more. Then, we were seated at a small table. We waited quite a while before receiving the menu, and then even longer before someone came to ask if we wanted to order anything. As for the food, the experience was rather disappointing. I ordered pasta, which was served on a completely cold plate. As a result, two minutes later, my pasta was already cold. It would be really nice if the restaurant paid more attention to this detail and thought about warming the plates before serving. There is also a rectangular ceramic tray on the tables meant to hold the plates. Honestly, it's useless. The plates slide on it, and it's not stable at all. With already cold plates, it adds no value to the service. We then ordered a red fruit panna cotta for 8 euros. The dessert was very minimalist. The "red berries" were actually a very sweet, artificial-tasting jam, which completely ruined the dessert. Overall, the prices are rather high for the area, and unfortunately, the quality and service are not up to par. They need to improve the service, the quality of the ingredients, and the attention to detail to offer a more consistent and enjoyable experience.

I recommend it especially in the evening because it is very cool and with a really beautiful soft light. I highly recommend it.

30/01/2026: A charming Lugo with a beautiful view of the mountains! We had lunch on New Year's Eve and ate very well! On our way out, we forgot a pencil case full of crayons that my daughter is very fond of. I called and we arranged for shipping! They were kind enough to send it to me without even asking me to pay for the package. A gesture I greatly appreciated. Really good food! We'll definitely be back. Thank you.

We had the pleasure of meeting Anna, who runs this restaurant outside of the Aosta Valley, and we appreciated her human qualities and passion for cooking. We then had the opportunity to enjoy her cuisine, confirming that when love for this profession combines with the sweetness of a person, the result is truly touching dishes. We booked and requested the Bagnacauda (which she only cooks to order) with a small appetizer. The Bagnacauda was wonderful and rich with cooked and raw vegetables, and among the appetizers, the pumpkin and cabbage casserole I wished would never end. To conclude, a dessert from memory, disarmingly simple yet so good we asked for seconds: Pan Perdú with rennet apple mousse and cinnamon. An unforgettable evening in a simple restaurant that also serves as a bar in the Echallod district, which places cuisine and conviviality at its core.
