24/02/2026: A typical Aosta Valley hotel where the hospitality and kindness of the owners make you feel at home. The second highlight is the much-appreciated traditional cuisine, with a varied appetizer and dessert buffet. The quality-price ratio is truly excellent. A place to definitely return.
09/02/2026: A family-run hotel with all the comforts. It's located 15 minutes from the ski lifts and 5 minutes from the Pila cable car. They also offer a shuttle service to the slopes. The staff are very friendly and helpful, including Mrs. Agnese, who is wonderful, and the food is excellent.

19/05/2026: The best place in Aosta for a drink. A very interesting wine list featuring all the specific grape varieties as well as the finest appellations from the rest of Italy. The wine bar offers a top-quality selection of wines, spirits, and other alcoholic beverages, with an emphasis on local products. The same goes for the gourmet food section. The staff is excellent at providing advice and will guide you perfectly in your choices.

The cappuccino was very good, as was the brioche.
The place is very charming, in pure mountain style (wood and stone).
Affordable prices.
23/01/2026: I came in intending to have breakfast, but upon my arrival, no one responded to my greeting, despite repeating it twice.
For this reason, I decided to just have a coffee and a juice.
The review is solely for the service, which I found rude and inattentive to the customer. A shame, because a simple greeting makes all the difference.

13/03/2026: A very discreet and charming location, the boss is very knowledgeable about traditional dishes. We paired them with a sparkling white wine, perhaps not quite right, but very good. Impeccable service.
18/02/2026: We had a raclette for 3. (It was on the "Fondue" page, but was 'proper' raclette with the bar heaters to melt it). Washed down brilliantly by a very nice local white wine (petite arvine 2024). Cost was per the menu, no hidden extras, like one popular old review noted. If I was being picky, i'd take half a star off for no kids menu as we wasted a fair bit of food getting an adults raclette for our cheese fueled 10 year old, but the meats and potatoes with the raclette were excellent compared to most raclette places.
We'll be going back for desert another night sans raclette feast. The pear and chocolate pie looks divine!

The food is simple but absolutely delicious. The service is friendly and the atmosphere is guaranteed, and it's true that the view of the Alps from the terrace is superb.

07/05/2026: Super cute, cozy little spot with both booth seating and bar seating depending on the vibe you’re going for.
It feels more like a local hangout bar to grab drinks and watch a match or game with your crew, which gave it a really fun atmosphere. The owner also makes sandwiches, and they were honestly super yummy—simple, comforting, and exactly what we wanted after a long day out.
Overall: cozy, casual, and a great place to post up for drinks and snacks.
08/04/2026: Well, I go there every day. I have my great friend Albert, who I talk to and is a friend. However, obviously Melanio is also a great person and friend, he knows how to do his job. Then there is Germana, a slightly introverted lady, but nothing to say, she knows how to do her job. I feel great here and I recommend everyone, if you come to Valtournenche, to go here and taste excellent sandwiches and exceptional dishes. I eat there every evening and the prices are excellent and the food is very fresh. I RECOMMEND IT!!!

07/03/2026: We recently ate at L’essentiel and the food was delicious including the trout starte, onion soup etc. all exceptional. But more importantly, the management and personnel are accommodating and so thoughtful. They had steak off the menu and it had finished so they promised to order some for us on our next visit. Truly caring. We highly recommend
06/03/2026: Whatever you do don’t eat at this restaurant. They serve uncooked pork. We sent it out twice showing them that the meat was cold and uncooked without any improvement. Then we finally gave up and asked for the bill and they charged us full price…..

23/02/2026: Campsites in a good location for both the town and immigrants. Free municipal shuttle service for getting around. They also have a shuttle service within the campground, but for a fee.
Well-maintained and clean restrooms.
Nearby, a restaurant, bar, and well-stocked grocery store with reasonable prices.
Friendly staff.
An experience to repeat in spring and summer.
21/02/2026: We stayed at this campsite from February 8th to 14th with our camper and I have to say we had a wonderful time. The location is fantastic: far from traffic and extremely quiet, the common areas are spotless, the bathrooms always smell of bleach, and it's a 15-minute walk from the town, which is very easy to reach and where you'll find everything you need. But the real highlight is Andrea (the owner) and all the staff, who are very hospitable and extremely helpful. We will definitely be back as soon as we can! And last but not least: excellent value for money!

13/03/2026: We came to this part of the Aosta Valley to visit Aymavilles Castle, one of the few we hadn't seen in the Aosta Valley.
We stopped at this restaurant/pizzeria for lunch and to enjoy the beautiful view of the area; among other things, the castle is located right in front of the hotel.
Because it was a weekday, the menu was obviously limited. We ordered two pizzas (which were good), and the wait staff was welcoming, fast, and friendly.
The price was more than reasonable. The hotel has parking and also has an outdoor dining area that we'll try out this summer when we return.

26/12/2025: Good bread considering you're in the north (sorry, but southern bakeries are the real masters). I had the Colomba last Easter and I think it was the best I've ever eaten in my entire life; it was truly spectacular. So I decided to get the panettone for Christmas with high hopes, but I must say, sadly, it's not quite there. I've had better low-cost ones from the supermarket. It was well-leavened but decidedly dry, and there weren't many candied fruit/raisins. It just lacked that classic panettone aroma that I can't even begin to explain. Truly disappointed.
