15/08/2025: A gelateria (because that's the service I often frequent) that has few equals in the hinterland. Variety of flavors, creativity, and quality ingredients. Gelato always creamy and served at just the right temperature. The staff is dynamic and courteous.

19/04/2025: Very polite staff and quite fast. The room is nice, the outside is in a small area but a lot of people still come in. If you want to relax and divert your mind, highly recommended

13/08/2025: We had a divine dinner and were treated exceptionally well. Considering there were 6 of us with 6 dogs (which isn't a given), everyone was extremely kind and helpful. We'll all be back again this evening. As I did in person, I extend my compliments to the owner and staff. Everything was incredible 😊

14/08/2025: A lovely place with a beautiful view of the two-thousand-year-old Roman bridge, but unfortunately, the lunch service was terrible. Starting with the table cleaning...spraying the product directly onto the surface, not the cloth, making us taste the cleaner that ended up on us...they forgot to set the table and came after our plates had already been brought. Halfway through lunch, they wanted to bring us bread, not realizing we didn't even have cheese to put on our pasta. They brought it after we'd already finished, and they still responded with annoyance if you mentioned this...for us, it was our first and last time at Bar Elisa.

21/07/2025: Stayed here last summer during a hike. Aside from the beauty and attention to detail of the location, which I have no complaints about, I'm absolutely disappointed by the management of the refuge, which stands out for its rudeness. We arrived exhausted after a four-hour hike in torrential rain. The owner greeted us by rushing us to the dining room, admonishing us for our delay, and showing no sympathy whatsoever. The management was like a barracks, with no flexibility regarding hours; we were forced to leave at 9:00 PM. Another negative point was the classism with which we were treated. Three thirty-year-olds are clearly less worthy of the complimentary final liqueurs, which we had to ask for, than two couples over 50, who are clearly considered of a higher caliber and status. With a change of management, it would be a fabulous place, but that's how it is.

19/08/2025: Personally, I'm not a fan of the somewhat cluttered style, but the room is adequate, although not very large, as is the bathroom, which is clean. For me, the highlight is the breakfast, with a wide selection of sweet and savory items using local produce, and the option of fried eggs. The welcome is decent, but I find the price a bit high (€150) compared to the overall experience, hence my 3 stars.

08/08/2025: Lots of hearts and scales in the decoration! You have to like it. The room isn't big and rather warm and cluttered with decor. We paid €171, which is really too expensive. Service delegated to young employees. This is not a guest room.

21/09/2025: Very friendly staff and excellent food. A place that makes you feel at home. It's an AIC (Italian Association of Italian Restaurants) restaurant, so they offer a wide range of gluten-free options. Their homemade mandarin liqueur is also delicious. Thank you for giving us a wonderful evening.

19/09/2025: Cold and rude service. When I commented that the pasta was overcooked, the owner/waitress replied, "What do you expect for the price of the dish of the day?" And she turned her back on me and walked away! NEVER AGAIN!!!

10/08/2025: Comment for the restaurant, not the rooms :-) Wonderful location and veranda. Mrs. Nadia is kind, friendly, and attentive. You feel at home. The food is simple and good. Valpelinese soup is flavorful, but at a moderate level. Simple, flavorful ham and cheese crepes. A cutlet, not made here, but good to have. Aromatic local wine. Authentic mocetta. A tender heart jon cake, made here, but wonderful. :-P. Prices are a bit higher, but it's worth a visit every now and then. :-)

03/09/2025: The atmosphere was simple and elegant, and we were served by a very kind woman. The food was very good, especially the salsa verde with the trio of tomini. The prices were slightly above average, but we were still satisfied!

06/08/2025: Ciao a tutti Oggi dopo aver visitato Cogne ci siamo spostati in frazione Lillaz e ci siamo fermato per un break al bar ANAIS oltre alla cortesia ed alla gentilezza della signora Adriana abbiamo mangiato dei panini veramente ma non scherzo veramente eccezionali!!!!! 14/07/2025: Ho provato diversi panini gourmet del Bar Anais: tutti buoni, con ingredienti freschi e accostamenti di sapore molto ben riusciti. I panini gourmet sono caldi, con pane integrale croccante, ben farciti. Vale la pena assaggiarli. Li abbiamo accompagnati con un Radler (birra e limonata) fresco e dissetante. L’ambiente è piacevole, con tavoli all’aperto e all’interno, nel centro di Lillaz, frazione facilmente raggiungibile da Cogne con navetta gratuita. Servizio gentile e cordiale, grazie alla nuova gestione.

06/09/2025: I was planning on booking for dinner, but we had to go in to see the menu because it wasn't displayed at the entrance or outside (😉). We had to search for it under the visibly annoyed gaze of the owner (the proverbial Aosta Valley welcome 😢). Prices were like jewelry stores, so on my way out, my eye fell on a freezer in plain sight in the bar area, a chest-type freezer with glass through which I could glimpse every type of frozen dish... Too bad there wasn't an asterisk on the menu (we remind the owner that frozen products must be declared on the menu, as the very amusing Article 515 of the Italian Criminal Code applies, which punishes commercial fraud, where these products are served and are on the menu). So I opted for another restaurant, preferring FRESH specialties. If I want, I'll eat the frozen ones at home (or maybe not even at home). Best regards

21/08/2025: Highly recommended for a gluten-free lunch. I had the Valdostana corn crepes, what can I say...excellent!! I tasted the typical cheeses with sauces and honey...a delicious treat accompanied by a glass of Cornelin. ❤️

22/06/2025: June 21, 2025 We discovered this gelateria and were won over! We ordered two scoops of coffee ice cream, and the taste was truly exceptional. The service was impeccable, and the biscuits that accompanied the ice creams were excellent, each with a different texture. Good ice cream, but one small detail that needs to be improved We ordered ice creams. I chose the largest coffee-flavored scoop with a cone, at €4.50. The portion was very generous, really large, and the presentation was impeccable. One small drawback: the texture lacked a bit of creaminess; the ice cream was rather "light" and lacked roundness in the mouth. Overall, it was good and refreshing, but it lacked that little creamy touch that makes all the difference. All for a very reasonable price: €7 for two ice creams, with one basic biscuit and the other a little more refined. It's definitely worth the detour! A wonderful discovery that we highly recommend.

25/09/2025: We ordered a platter of embarrassingly low-quality cured meats: the salami was a terrible black salami, the coppa was completely tasteless, the chestnuts were honey-infused with runny honey, and the bread was stale, with very few slices served. €20 for a platter of such poor-quality, scant cured meats is beyond reproach. I think improving the quality is the minimum requirement for returning to a place like this.

03/04/2025: Posto molto gradevole, articolato su diversi piani dentro e fuori. Sipatiche le botti "privè". ottima scelta di vini valdaostani e non, possibilità di taglieri con salumi tradizionali e piatti anche poco impegnativi e sfiziosi. Personale gentile e solerte. Sempre pieno, meglio prenotare.
