I returned to this restaurant with nostalgia, having frequented it many years ago. The management has changed. Unfortunately, the menu seems a bit tired, as if tired with age, although I found some Aosta Valley flavors and traditions. Overall, the evening was pleasant and the staff were friendly, although they could do better. Prices were normal for a high (very high) season in the Aosta Valley, but perhaps not quite commensurate with the quality, which could have been improved. Overall, a positive review.

Business dinner: I chose it thanks to the The Fork app with a 20% discount, but unfortunately they didn't apply the agreed-upon discount. It's a shame because I particularly appreciated the warm and welcoming atmosphere, the professional service, and the attention to detail in the dishes. The bill isn't exactly cheap: a portion of fried artichokes, a fondue, two porcini mushroom fillets, two desserts, and two glasses of wine totaled €140.

We dined at the Borgo Antico Restaurant and were very satisfied.
The cuisine is refined, with well-crafted dishes and memorable flavors: you can sense the attention to quality and tradition.
The service is truly excellent: the staff is kind, attentive, and always available, making you feel at ease from start to finish.
A place where you eat well and feel at home. Highly recommended.

Nicely located in the heart of the city of Aosta, between the Praetorian Gate and the Augustus Arch, this restaurant is a good pick if you like mushrooms! We had their Polenta with Porcini and it was actually extremely good.

The tartare with citronette, mustard, and pink peppercorns was delicious, as were the maltagliati with goat's blue cheese, pears, and walnuts. The carbonada was a bit salty, but definitely tasty.
The atmosphere was truly quaint; we had lunch in a room near the fireplace.

The soup was excellent. Truly creamy and delicate. I wish it had been a little more generous. The crepe was also excellent; if only a couple more forkfuls had been added, it would have been perfect.
The charcuterie board was very good and plentiful. (It was eaten by two people; for one, in my opinion, it would have been disgusting.) The bread with chestnut jam and honey was excellent.
Unfortunately, the bread was terrible. It seemed like it was made yesterday: dry and stale.
The dessert was a homemade chocolate mousse pudding with crushed amaretti biscuits.
Let's just say the thumbs up goes only to the "homemade" version. A classic pudding that's not worth its VERY HIGH price of €10.
The atmosphere is absolutely stunning.
Very rustic and intimate. The staff is friendly and helpful.
Reservations are recommended because seating is limited.
We only found out at the last minute that there was a 20% discount with the fork, so we paid full price. Here perhaps a "small kindness from the cashier" would have been nice, but it's just my wish, nothing to criticize about the courtesy, food and atmosphere (except the dessert and bread 😅)

Exactly the meal I was waiting for to celebrate my birthday with my wife. I wanted prosciutto and porcini mushrooms. I was delighted!
