14/02/2026: I'd read other negative reviews and unfortunately I have to agree. The food was absolutely not up to par for the price, which was exorbitant. I think the brunette woman at the cash register is a downside to the place itself, as she was truly rude. I don't recommend it and I definitely won't be returning.
09/02/2026: Found it online and tried it for dinner. The staff is friendly, the food is good, and the price is fair. I was a bit bothered by the smell of melted cheese (raclette is on the menu), which lingered throughout my stay.

29/09/2025: Excellent refuge: spotlessly clean, generous dinner, and excellent breakfast at very reasonable prices. The staff is truly friendly, the best we've encountered in the entire Gran Paradiso area. An excellent starting point for excursions in the national park.

22/03/2026: We called to order four pizzas for pickup after being told it was perfectly possible. After four calls, they finally answered and, without giving us a chance to speak, told us they were fully booked and hung up on us. What a lack of courtesy!

22/03/2026: I'm talking about the restaurant: the menu is very limited and there's no choice. Service is extremely slow. The dishes are overly mixed, but not executed like gourmet dishes.
08/03/2026: I've only been to this place for the restaurant, but I've viewed the rooms on the website. A beautiful, traditional wooden restaurant with a large central fireplace. Run by a young couple and supported by a young staff. Kindness and courtesy reign supreme. The menu combines contradiction and innovation. Excellent products.

24/02/2026: This hotel is full service. All you need to have a for a lovely ski holiday: ambience, quality food, good bartenders, jacuzzi and lovely interior decor. The hotel is located outskirts Cervinia town, but don’t worry - they have free shuttle to lifts or if you would like to go to town. Ludo, the owner take well care of you. We are back after 10 years ago - and he makes sure that his hotell still deliver the same nice experience. The restaurant delivers well tasty Italian food - and we even got the special Matterhorn cake - just made special for us. Breakfast is also very nice with a range of quality teas, Italian coffee,
sweet, savory, eggs and bacon.

A pearl in the mountains
It was worth the drive to get here.
Every single meter was worth it.
The owner was extremely kind and friendly.
I found this place based on the excellent reviews for its typical Aosta Valley food.
I tried everything.
Truly excellent.
The polenta with carbonada was simply amazing.
The cabbage and fontina soup was truly delicious.
The dessert was exquisite.
Everything was made fresh with genuine products.
I will definitely be back.
Very, very beautiful.
13/01/2026: Excellent location, lucky those who get a room with a terrace overlooking the mountains, excellent traditional cuisine, they accept dogs (we went with 2 gold retrievers, clean rooms. Plenty for walking or snowshoeing with dogs in tow. Good hospitality, we will definitely be back

The feeling of experiencing a special, almost suspended moment in a wonderful setting.
The rooms are beautiful, the food is excellent, the place is magical.
Go without hesitation.
15/01/2026: What a brilliant hotel. This is a real mountain experience tucked away in a tiny hamlet, with a really authentic (albeit luxury) feel to it. It felt totally unique. A great experience, the staff were all very friendly and helpful, the rooms wonderful (very log cabin), delicious food and great wine. It’s a short drive to the skiing in Champoluc in the hotel shuttle/AWD down a snowy road - all part of the experience. I would also recommend the snowshoe excursions - we did two with guide Nerinka who (along with everyone else) was excellent.

19/02/2026: La Grolla is one of the best in Courmayeur ! The food, view, vibe and staff are all fantastic. We got married there in winter some years ago -going up the gondola at night and food/dancing until midnight - the best day of my life and we couldnt have had our winter wonderland wedding come true if La Grolla staff and owners didn't step up the way they did. Thank you La Grolla - can't wait to return!
01/02/2026: Lovely mountain restaurant. Very friendly staff, offering excellent food and drinks. Not your average burger, and very good vension fagu and pasta. Booking recommended on a sunny day, beautiful small 1st floor terrace.

14/03/2026: After a long day of skiing, we spotted this cute place for a snack.
The bar was actually very nice, but the staff was extremely rude: we waited 10 minutes just to ask if we could sit down.
We weren't told there would be no table service. After another 10 minutes, we asked to order at the counter, and when we asked if we should clear the table, we were told yes.
I don't think we'll be back.
05/03/2026: I'll start by saying that I'm celiac and found the staff knowledgeable and attentive.
There's a wide selection of excellent-quality, gluten-free local products.
The place is very nice and strategically located, close to the ski slopes.
I recommend the mixed platter of local products, which is truly excellent (very generous).
The prices are fair, considering the quality and location.
