29/08/2024: I went to this “Rifugio Mainardi” on August 15th. We couldn't have done anything worse. Aside from the fact that in my opinion the municipality of Costacciaro was unable to manage the thousands of cars that poured towards Pian delle Macinare, creating a double row of cars parked for at least a couple of km, leaving a small space for those trying to reach Pian delle Macinare. We barely reached a clearing about 150 meters from the refuge and at that point I was asked to leave the passengers and go back until I found a parking space. About 1 km from the refuge. We arrive at the refuge and our place was on the benches outside the room together with dozens of other customers packed in like sardines. Inadequate service for the number of people who had booked. What little we ate was poor to say the least. They will never see me in this place again! But I wonder, was it a case of accepting so many bookings when we weren't up to the task of managing them? Finally, and I turn to the municipality of Costacciaro, thank goodness there were no emergencies because it would have been difficult to get medical personnel.

27/08/2024: Atmosfera familiare. Personale gentile. Ottima qualita' del cibo. Prezzo giusto. Se vi trovate a passare nella zona di Scheggino vale la pena fare una sosta in questo ristorante. Consigliato.

05/08/2024: Huge and super busy environment but the efficient staff don't make you wait too long to eat. Pizza the way I like it, thin and crunchy. Super friendly and efficient staff and very low prices, I don't think I've seen similar prices for at least twenty years

29/07/2024: I've been there several times for an aperitif... But I must say, it didn't disappoint me at all for lunch either!

24/08/2024: I strongly advise against visiting this establishment. Despite their insistence on requiring reservations, they informed us that they would be closed when we attempted to make one. The staff was extremely rude and unfriendly, making us feel unwelcome. Additionally, we felt discriminated against because we are from Latin America. Be cautious of places that portray themselves as something they are not and the people who lack professionalism. We are professional businessman from Latin America and we felt discriminated against.

12/07/2024: I ordered the bruschetta starter with my friend and then had grilled chicken breast and boiled vegetables as the main. Plus some dessert afterwards. The food was delicious, especially for the price. I’d definitely come here again.

08/07/2024: Spotted this restaurant after walking along the aquaduct. Tried to book it by phone but was cut off so arrived at opening time on Saturday. The door was locked but lights on inside so waited for 5 minutes and the door was opened. We ordered a primi to share, two secondi, two contorni and a litre of house red wine. The pasta with truffles and olives was delicious. I had lamb chops, tender and flavoursome. The pork skewer held sausage and meat and was also good. Wine OK for the price. With two coffees the bill came to 45 euros.
