30/08/2025: The property didn't make us miss hotel holidays like we had previously. It's located in the center of San Giovanni, which in turn is perfectly located in the Aurina Valley. It's a small town well-served with supermarkets, pizzerias, and pastry shops, without the crowds found in nearby Campo Tures. The property is located directly across from the church and the tourist office. It's 20 steps from the bus stop for Casere and 100 steps from the bus stop for Brunico, passing through Campo Tures, which can be reached in about 10 minutes and offers plenty of shops, restaurants, and bars for those seeking a little more action. The apartment, My Happiness, ours, is well-maintained, clean, and well-equipped. It features a living area with a large kitchen, a bedroom, and a small bedroom. All three rooms have a TV. The furnishings and floors are wooden. The bathroom is very large and comfortable, with a very large walk-in shower. Viktor and Daniela were very hospitable and eager to accommodate our needs, both in terms of advice and support. The spa is small and welcoming and can be used by reservation to save energy, as it's rarely in demand. I used it alone on a few days. The hot tub wasn't available because it was empty, but they probably would have filled it if I'd asked. The laundry room was excellent and convenient for a few euros. Besides appreciating the facility and hospitality, we loved the location, as it was just a few minutes by bus or on foot from where we could explore the valley all the way to Brunico. Several hiking trails also start from the property. I highly recommend this property, as it hasn't made me miss the 4-star hotels I've stayed in so far.

22/02/2026: We visited this cafe twice in two days during a recent stay in Bolzano. Everything is excellent, lovely friendly and helpful staff, lovely food and the atmosphere is so relaxed, it was wonderful. We highly recommend it!

02/01/2026: A very cute and quaint place. I really appreciated that when we booked, the staff made sure to reserve a table for us even though the place was almost full. The food was relatively good, nothing exceptional, and the menu was rather limited. Unfortunately, the evening wasn't up to par. When we entered the restaurant, we waited at least 10 minutes without the staff seating us, and there were long waits to order dinner. Many people in the room next to our table had to leave to ask the waiters to take their orders. When the appetizer arrived, the cutlery hadn't yet been brought to the table. There weren't even any condiments like oil, salt, or vinegar at the table. Very disorganized service; I totally understand busy nights, but truly disorganization is at the root of the service. Prices are higher than average, and when we paid, we weren't even given a receipt. In good faith, I hope it was printed and kept by the restaurant. Unfortunately, I wouldn't return.

13/03/2026: A very comfortable hotel, with friendly and helpful staff. We really appreciated the spa, which was new and relaxing, with large relaxation areas. The Guest Pass to reach the cable car station was very useful. Our only comments: the room was a bit warm and there was no bidet. We plan to return!

21/02/2026: It was an amazing experience with my family, the hotel is luxurious and the staff is fast and works very hard. The location is perfect since it is in the center, and they provide shuttle busses to take you to whatever slope you would like. The food is amazing and always warm, while the buffet is big and offers many choices. The rooms are big, have enough space, the bed is really comfortable and also the bathroom is big and has everything you need. The spa area is one of the best parts of the hotel, they have a big pool inside and outside, and the water is really warm, and the sauna area is big and perfect for relaxing without children. Overall, this is some of the best restaurants I have stayed in, and will definitely be coming back.

10/02/2026: Our favourite place to stay in the Dolomites for a ski holiday, Hotel Gran Baita has become a genuine home-from-home that we look forward to returning to year after year. The food is consistently superb, with generous breakfasts and beautifully prepared dinners that feel closer to fine dining than to standard “ski hotel” fare. The atmosphere throughout the hotel is relaxed and casual, so you can properly unwind after a day on the mountain. Staff are friendly and always make us feel genuinely welcome, from reception to the restaurant and bar, and that warmth really adds to the overall experience. Gran Baita is the place we keep coming back to, and it’s the first hotel we recommend to friends planning a trip to the Dolomites.

19/02/2026: I only went to have dinner which was really good. There were many people so they took long to give us food. The location was really beautiful. The rooms were all colourful which I loved.

22/12/2025: A truly family-run hotel with a heart for its guests, clean, with an excellent spa, a fantastic restaurant and food, and an incredible breakfast. I definitely consider this hotel one of my favorite places to stay.

06/01/2026: An excellent experience at Zur Kaiserkron. The elegant and refined restaurant boasts professional staff who are attentive without ever being intrusive. The cuisine is top-quality, with sophisticated dishes and pairings that offer a true sensory journey, always in keeping with the seasonality of the menu. The quality-price ratio is amazing for what's on offer. Kudos to the entire staff; highly recommended.

15/01/2026: In a wonderful location, this beautiful hotel welcomes you...in half. The rooms are very beautiful and warm, the spa is wonderful. Unfortunately, for the prices, you'd expect the same level of care as other South Tyrolean hotels, but the details are lacking: breakfast is poor. There's no option to make freshly squeezed juices or smoothies, there's no fresh fruit, and there's no kettle for tea or herbal teas. Pieces of the same desserts every day. Dinner is incredibly long due to the limited staff. And the side dishes are always the same: baby carrots, mushrooms, mushrooms. I'd prefer simpler, but healthier and more digestible options. In the spa, a jug of light juice and herbal tea, only dried bananas. No fresh fruit. After an hour, everything is gone and no one comes to check on you. A hotel with excellent potential, but it needs more staff, care, and attention. The dining room is 1970s-style, the paintings, the decorations, the plants. There's a lot of room for improvement. And don't count the tap water, it's shameful. For the money people pay, I think you can give away some water, right?

23/01/2026: Over priced for the food quality, the starter where mostly fine, I would not recommend the winter greens, a nice option for vegetarians but would not go for it again. I found the main course, Tagliata with mushrooms to be bland and the meat tough. Perhaps just bad luck but for a sitting that cost 100€ I had higher expectations. My friends went for the fondue and from what I tasted of it it was nothing special. As for the atmosphere, we all thought that it looked nice but most complained that it was to hot in the room we were sitting and you could feel the the stale air. More ventilation is needed if you should have that many ppl and fondue pots in the same room.

20/01/2026: We order steak and ravioli. First with the positive cant say anything about ravioli they were good. About the steak first it came in raw(we ordered medium) it wqs super chewy, wrongly cut, and 0 taste. We at least asked if this is medium and they admited and being it back to kitchen. Than they bringed it back and gave us medium well more like well. We tried to eat it since i know there is no save at this time but it was still super chewy and with even less taste. So we left around 3/5 of the steak. We waitied like 20 minutes befoee somebody noticed us we finished ( the waitress walk around us many times and than stand in the back) After 20 minutes she came and didnt as anything, she lookes completly cool with that we left mroe than half steak, not a word if the food was good anything only if we want deserve. When im paying 60+ euros per one food in luxury 5 star hotel i would expect a top quality. I get that something can be wrong with the meat or it can be just error . But what really makes me sad is that the waitress didnt even care.
