23/06/2025: We stayed 2 nights in June at the camper place of the Sarner Skihütte, high in the mountains. There is no service or electricity yet, but this is being worked on. Toilet and shower are available. It is a beautiful place with a magnificent view. Markus the owner is very friendly. We had a great time there.

10/03/2025: A family-friendly retreat, this small, warm, and very welcoming retreat features wooden rooms with double beds and duvets, and a top-notch kitchen. Recommended!

07/06/2025: A paradise for people with celiac disease. You can unwind in the region, the staff are friendly and the food is delicious and all gluten-free!

10/07/2025: A truly pleasant experience! The restaurant is very charming, with a welcoming atmosphere and a touch of old-fashioned charm that makes it unique. The food was excellent, beautifully presented, and rich in flavor. Special thanks to the two fantastic waiters, Mehdi and Giorgio: kind, very attentive, and always available to recommend the best dishes. Their attitude made me feel at ease. I absolutely recommend this place—both for the food and the impeccable service!

23/06/2025: €194 for one hour – absolutely unreasonable We spontaneously visited the Hotel Post Gries/Bolzano at the beginning of May and booked a room directly at the reception – €194 in cash, including breakfast. Unfortunately, the room was unbearably hot, and the air conditioning didn't work. When we inquired, we were simply told that it "wasn't working yet" – at the beginning of May, mind you. Changing rooms was dismissed as pointless, as it was the same everywhere. Opening the window facing the busy street was not an option due to the noise. After a shower and less than an hour's stay, we left the hotel again – it was simply unreasonable. Despite the extremely short stay and the unused services, there was no concession whatsoever. The receptionist did call the manager, but she deliberately decided against any refund – not even for the unused breakfast. This decision, in particular, clearly demonstrates how little the satisfaction of her guests means to her. The bottom line is that we paid €194 for an hour in an overheated room where rest was impossible. This is completely excessive and customer-unfriendly. The only saving grace: the electric car charging (9kWh, approx. €4.50) was not charged – small consolation given the overall experience. For us, it's clear: We won't be back and can't recommend the hotel under any circumstances.

06/07/2025: The food was very good, but the prices were rather high! The ravioli was more like an appetizer, but very tasty. No reservations were possible, so we got there very early to get a seat in the beer garden. The food was better than it was two years ago.

29/06/2025: I went to Tirolo for a 12-day motorcycle vacation in 2022, and at least 10 of those I ate at "Schlecht'n Seppl." It was a truly wonderful experience, the way I was greeted and served. The food was simply fantastic; we ate the entire menu; there was nothing to complain about. Now I'm on vacation with my wife in the Passeier Valley, and today, despite the distance to Tirolo, I ate there for the second time. Nothing has changed; yesterday, on our first visit, Philip actually recognized me after three years of abstinence, and we immediately felt at home again. Please keep up the good work, Philip, I will always come back to eat at your restaurant. Best regards, Ralf

14/01/2025: What makes a hotel special today? In my opinion, it is the people who work there and the philosophy behind it. It is also about paying attention to nature and respecting the environment, e.g. the traditions in the region. It is also about letting the guests participate in it by introducing them carefully, without the need for rules. That is an art these days. This is crowned by a lavishly laid table, without waste and excess, but with the special composition of the dishes and the selection of ingredients. You will find all of this at the Gasthof Kohlern. Authenticity among the people who work there. Respectful interaction, lightness and relaxedness as a natural coexistence - guest and host. Exciting stories, integrated into nature. You don't want to leave there and yet it may be precisely the leaving that makes you look forward to the specialness of coming back. And every year there is something new to discover, selected with great care and love. Thank you for being there, dear Gasthof Kohlern team.

13/01/2025: The hotel to relax and recharge your batteries. Josef and his crew are really special. The last time we were there was 10 years ago. Now it worked again and we booked a room including half board over the Christmas period (December 23rd - December 26th, 2024). I summarize the hotel services as follows: 1. Hotel The house has a 125-year-old history. Josef spared no expense or effort to modernize everything. A living room with an adjoining open fireplace (wonderful), a restaurant with a panoramic view of the mountains high above Bolzano, a top wellness department... The infinity pool and hot tub (open despite the cold and it was a show to be in there) A wine cellar, a seminar room (all very, very tastefully designed) 2. Massages A "must", the relaxing massage was a dream 3. Food & Service The absolutely highly professional kitchen surprised us every day with first-class dishes. We enjoyed every dish in the multi-stage episodes. The 4-6 courses were an explosion of enjoyment. It's really amazing what the kitchen does and the quality of the food that comes to the table. All, but absolutely all, of the service staff were professional, quick and absolutely friendly. Here I felt that the crew was behind Josef's concept. So it's really fun to be a guest 3rd room We had room number 6 on the 1st floor An ideal room for us with a balcony and the view over Bolzano was brilliant The cleaning was simply perfect... and we and our dog 🐶 "Oskar" felt really comfortable. Conclusion: The house was already great 10 years ago. Today Josef and his team have once again made a leap forward in terms of quality. I am personally pleased that there are still such first-class hotels with top-class cuisine and service. Celebrating Christmas with singing in the in-house chapel was something very special for us. We just say 'thank you' for this great time. This house made our Christmas 2024 perfect. We'll definitely be back💪

06/07/2025: Il locale è caratteristico ed è gradevole la terrazza esterna, personale un po’ troppo “veloce” per la location, eravamo a cena e il locale non era pieno, per cui ci sarebbe stato modo di curare meglio il servizio, invece sembravano tutti rincorsi da un cane rabbioso. Menu’ con poca scelta. Cibo che non lascia traccia, ma il conto parecchio! Eravamo stati diverse volte, qualche anno fa, e siamo rimasti un po’ delusi per la proposta della cucina e i prezzi lievitati.

06/07/2025: Gourmet cuisine prices combined with a high mountain refuge (which it is not). Surely the view is priceless but is it worth 2.5€ for a normal coffee and 5€ for a cappuccino? And I ask myself this as someone who has lived in Alto Adige for a very long time!!!

03/07/2025: A very beautiful alpine pasture that's easily accessible from the cable car. The various play areas make it a great destination for families with children.

02/07/2025: We only drink at the Ochsenalm, as the hut is just a stopover on our route. Everyone is very friendly, and the Alpen Spritz and coffee specialties are excellent.

I've eaten at much better restaurants in Corvara for a lot less money.

06/03/2025: Questo rifugio è un posto magico con una vista spettacolare un'accoglienza fantastica e un servizio senza uguali. Lo staff ( Marco N1) sono veramente delle persone che portano la felicità. Il cibo è abbondante, ottimo il kaisermann e fantastici i spaghetti alla carbonara.... È la terza volta che ci vado e ogni volta è sempre un piacere....

22/01/2025: Sono molti anni che veniamo sull’Alpe, avevamo sentito parlare bene di questo rifugio e quest’anno che finalmente siamo riusciti a pranzarci non possiamo che confermare il passaparola positivo in merito. Qui troverete autentica gentilezza, gusto, qualità, ampia scelta del menu’, ottima presentazione delle portate e una bella atmosfera. Al momento per noi è la migliore esperienza culinaria sull’Alpe. Speriamo di potervi tornare in futuro.
