07/12/2025: From the first moment, Alexander makes you feel like you've known him forever. He's friendly, sincere, and always available, a genuine person that's hard to find these days. The apartment is truly spacious and has all the comforts, but the absolute highlight is the breathtaking view. At any hour, you're enchanted by the mountains changing colors throughout the day. The town of Merano seems so far away from you, as if you were looking at it from a plane window. In the evening, it transforms into a whirlwind of moving lights and colors... we could have spent hours just gazing out the windows or from the terrace. The place is immersed in nature and catapults you into a slower, healthier life, based on true principles. In the evening, we ate in their restaurant, an unforgettable experience. Every dish is prepared with what Alexander and his family produce, everything delicious, haute Tyrolean cuisine. One word: THANK YOU

21/10/2025: After a breathtaking and nerve-wracking drive through the vineyards east of Merano, the first thing you need is a drink to enjoy the picturesque view. You can get just that at the Greiterhof. The friendly host, Alexander, welcomes you with open arms and explains how things work on the mountain. This young man specializes in making everything himself, and that is his goal. Almost every bite that ends up on your plate is either homemade or at least from neighboring farms. A special highlight in the South Tyrolean calendar is the annual Törggelen, which, of course, is also offered here. In addition to barley soup, three kinds of meat, and doughnuts, local wine is served. Those who prefer a vegetarian meal should pre-order, as vegetarians are still just as uncommon at Törggelen as a South Tyrolean who speaks fluent Italian. What is particularly remarkable is that the host apparently runs the whole operation single-handedly. From taking your order to cooking, serving, and billing, everything is done with a smile and interspersed with short anecdotes from the life of a mountain farmer. The special hospitality is evident when you're offered a whole jug of schnapps for free. A true gesture of honor, considering the whole thing doesn't cost much.

06/11/2025: Gasthaus Weber is also a perfectly normal and traditional "restaurant" (inn)... very good food! at a fair price - also open for lunch during the week for workers.

04/09/2025: Excellent experience at Weber, all in all! A perfect base for various itineraries, delicious traditional local dishes made with local ingredients, family-run with very helpful and friendly staff, functional rooms, and outdoor play equipment for children. Highly recommended.

07/12/2025: Oberon is cheap and cheerful serving excellent food that would cost two or three times more a couple of doors down. It is basic, relaxed, with very pleasant staff.

19/12/2025: A charming little restaurant that almost exclusively serves pizzas. They're very good and reasonably priced! Friendly service. I had a great experience at this pizzeria and would definitely recommend it!

09/12/2025: Whenever we come to the area, dinner is a must. In the splendid jewel that is Egna, this small but welcoming place is the icing on the cake. The pizzas are excellent, and the owners are courteous and friendly. Not to be missed.

24/01/2026: This was the first disappointment of our week-long trip to the Dolomites. We ordered a 1kg Tomahawk that was honestly awful—much of it was unrendered, chewy fat and hard gristle. The meat itself was very chewy as well. When we complained, the management was very dismissive, telling us that "it's not a fillet," as if we didn’t know the difference between marbling and inedible waste. The cabbage salad was so salty it was inedible (though they did take this off the bill). We also asked for gluten-free bread when we sat down, but it never arrived. Most of the staff were okay. The only things we liked about this place were the setting and the fries. I'd suggest skipping this spot. All other restaurants we went to in the area were much better.

20/03/2026: Here's a well-written review: ⸻ Last night we ate pizza at the Palaghiaccio di Corvara in Corvara, and the experience was truly enjoyable. The pizza was very good, well-cooked, and made with quality ingredients. The atmosphere is totally informal, perhaps even a little rustic, but precisely because of this, it's welcoming and relaxed, without too many pretensions. The service was quick and efficient, ideal if you want something good to eat without a long wait. The real added value, however, is the view of the ice rink: last night there was a hockey game, and being able to eat while watching the game made the atmosphere truly fun and different from usual. A simple yet authentic place, perfect for a casual evening with friends or family. We'll definitely be back! Marta served us, very kind and helpful.

28/02/2026: A traditional, beautiful, clean hotel with very friendly staff. The price is excellent, and I assure you, I asked for quotes in Trentino and no one offered such a bright room, of that size, with half board (and very good food), and in that location for a similar price. A twenty-minute drive takes you to Ortisei and Monte Pana, which is a perfect destination for families with children. Highly recommended!

29/10/2025: We ordered food for takeout: 1. Despite only a 5-minute walk home, the food was lukewarm. 2. The menu on the website has outdated prices...very annoying. 3. The dumpling trio we ordered didn't include any salad!!! We didn't bother calling, though, because we were really hungry and wanted to at least have some semblance of warmth in our food. We definitely won't be ordering from there again or eating in.

19/10/2025: We had the best dinner in Selva here. The food was really great. The pizza was baked perfectly, the tagiatelle ragu was great, the tiramisu was also tasty. The waiters were very helpful and kind. Definitely will come back whenever we visit Dolomites again.

28/12/2025: We stayed one night and had a great time. The owners were kind. The room was clean and large. The only thing they could do with replacing the furniture or sofas, which are quite old. I'm not giving it 5 stars because of this and also because we had two small dogs and they didn't let us have breakfast with them. Perhaps they could have warned us in advance that dogs aren't allowed in the restaurant for breakfast. The website says 12 euros per dog, but they charged me 14 euros for two small dogs. It seems a bit high, but otherwise, I recommend the hotel.

02/03/2026: A beautiful refuge from which you can contemplate the Odle mountains, taste typical dishes and, in the winter, rent a sled for the descent into the valley, even at night on full moon evenings.

04/02/2026: The Geisler Alm refuge is simply fantastic! A fabulous place, undoubtedly one of the most beautiful in the world, with a breathtaking view that will leave you speechless 😍 We started from Santa Maddalena in Val di Funes, a wonderful route that makes the experience even more special. The food is excellent: delicious and authentic dishes, perfect for warming the heart after a day outdoors. As for table service, we had a bit of a wait, but since it was Sunday and the refuge was very crowded, that's absolutely understandable. And then the real icing on the cake in winter: sledding, pure adrenaline and fun, truly fabulous! An unforgettable experience, to be had at least once in a lifetime ❤️❄️ It's wonderful in summer too!!

01/02/2026: The review refers to the restaurant. Okay, good restaurant, good value considering the location... All true. But the real difference is made by Matilde and Nicholas, the two waiters. It's really hard to find such friendly and approachable people these days, as well as, of course, very professional when needed. It's mainly thanks to them that we came back right away. Congratulations guys, keep it up. See you next time.

12/01/2026: We stopped in on our way back from a hike, without a reservation, around 2 pm on a Saturday afternoon in January. The staff was incredibly kind, quickly setting up a table for two and sitting us down. Creamed porcini mushrooms for both of us, followed by dessert and coffee. The next day we used their takeout service.
