29/08/2025: I'm just giving my opinion on the appetizer platters: the bruschetta listed on the menu was never served. The Tuscan specialty platter consists of three small verrines.

24/08/2025: Friendly, with excellent Tuscan cuisine. Despite being just steps from the Leaning Tower of Pisa, this isn't your typical "tourist trap" restaurant, but a true osteria.

25/06/2025: Locale sulla piazzetta, centralissimo. Cucina alla buona, così coe il servizio, ma accompagnato da tanta simpatia e disponibilità toscana, che riesce sempre a farti mangiar bene e ti mette di buon umore con poco. Pranzare in due con 20 e. seduti e coccolati potrebbe sembrare un miraggio ma qui è realtà.

20/08/2025: We decided to spend Ferragosto (August 15th) at Locanda del Toscano. The farmhouse is surrounded by greenery and easily accessible. There's only a short, but very wide, dirt road, accessible by car or other means, such as a motorcycle or scooter. The property has a swimming pool and several relaxation areas with tents and umbrellas. Lunch was a set menu, everything was delicious and the portions generous. The service was also excellent, considering that it was Ferragosto (August 15th), and there were quite a few of us. The whole thing was accompanied by music and karaoke. It was an alternative Ferragosto, with the option of spending the entire day there (from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm). Highly recommended, and certainly even more so on less crowded days (especially for the pool area).

07/08/2025: We celebrated my mother's eightieth birthday at the end of July. The location has the charm of an elegant Tuscan country residence, and especially at dusk, with the large, illuminated garden, it's truly enchanting. The welcome aperitif and the appetizer buffet served outdoors were superb, perfectly creating a convivial atmosphere enjoyed by all guests. The cuisine lived up to expectations. The zucchini risotto with saffron cream and champagne was sublime! The birthday cake was out of this world in every way. Aesthetically beautiful, tall, and soft as a cloud, with Chantilly cream and berries, it was delicious. Excellent value for money. The staff was attentive and kind. Lorenzo was the added bonus. Professional, friendly, competent, and always available for any need. It was truly an unforgettable celebration! Thank you all.

26/07/2025: I celebrated my graduation at Osteria La Rocca in July 2025. The party was perfectly organized, thanks in part to Lorenzo, who was always available. The food and atmosphere were equally appreciated. It was a wonderful experience!

05/08/2025: Best value for money in Pisa! Delicious homemade food, very friendly staff in a calm location. Full meal costs around 10€. If you’re looking for a budget friendly, non touristy and healthy food spot in Pisa, this is it!

17/08/2025: My partner and I had dinner at Triclinivm Taverna Romana in Pisa. We discovered this place by chance, strolling through the beautiful streets of Pisa. We couldn't be happier with this discovery. Valerio (the host and waiter) and Alessandro (the chef and indispensable character) make you feel right at home. But all of this fades into the background the moment you taste the first bite of their pasta. After a wonderful day in an incredible city, my partner and I returned to our apartment happy: an experience that only those who are truly committed to their work, and who put passion and care into welcoming those who enter their home, can offer. It's nice to think that a part of your heart can remain in a place that made you happy, and that this feeling can last over time.

17/09/2025: Unfortunately, I can only give it 2 points because: 1. The pizzas are good, but not outstanding. 2. The pappardelle with wild boar was unfortunately cold, or lukewarm at best. 3. The seafood starters were forgettable; ice-cold and tasteless mussels served with cold squid in cold and equally tasteless spinach. Accompanied by a horribly dry whole-wheat baguette. Tip: The chef should perhaps spend more time in the kitchen chatting than on the terrace. But: The server was very friendly, quick, and attentive. Nevertheless, we won't be going there again.

23/07/2025: A beautiful place to eat. We sat in the garden, which had a wonderful atmosphere. We received a delicious glass of champagne upon arrival. We expected a bit more from the food. There was a mistake with our second course (it happens). It's a shame that my dish was served as it was, and my husband's was remade. That's not how you eat together, which isn't really appropriate in such an (expensive) restaurant. There were many different waiters at the table, which made it less personal. Our expectations were perhaps a bit too high. Otherwise, we had a great meal, a pleasant experience.

14/07/2025: Bellissima location per un ristorante: nelle stagioni calde si mangia su un elegante prato inglese nella corte di una casa colonica sulle cui pareti cresce una fitta vegetazione. L'impatto è di una grande suggestione che accompagna i loro favolosi e ricercati piatti. Gran classe e cucina raffinata.

Excellent dishes made with quality ingredients and refined presentation, yet with highly distinctive flavors. The appetizers and first courses are excellent. The wine pairings are perfect. The meat, both pork and beef, is absolutely tender and flavorful. Overall, a very positive experience.
