27/07/2025: We were able to spend a wonderful week with Lora and Marco. Lora conjures up a delicious, lovingly prepared breakfast every morning. The pizza evening at sunset in the olive trees was also wonderful. The pool was great, and we would love to come back.

25/07/2025: We chose this restaurant because it was top 1 on trip advisor. But unfortunately the experience was something else entirely. Waiters who were busy with orders, and were far from professional. 2 out of 3 got their food, after a while found out that the last meal was sold out. When we told them, the waiter was impatient and had to apologize that there was a lot to do. The bill was wrong and they wanted to pay for food we didn't get.

24/07/2025: A brief stop on a scorching day before our walking tour for some liquid refreshments. Four slush drinks later and four satisfied and slightly more hydrated people were ready for their tour.

16/08/2025: It was good! not the best, felt like the food wasn’t cooked in the moment, it was put on plate and warmed up, and we were the only people there (we had a late lunch). It was not bad!!! I would recommend to go at least once. THE TIRAMISU WAS AMAZING!!!

31/08/2025: I thought I was in heaven for the first three hours, considering the location, the friendliness, and the service. For me, it could literally have been 10 stars, not just 5. But a bad episode with my girlfriend at the end of the evening forces me to leave it at 3 stars.

27/08/2025: Very, very nice place, super welcoming. For those looking for a cheerful lunch or dinner, this is the place. They have a fixed menu that changes weekly. You can find it on their Instagram page. The food is served in a bizarre way, but that's exactly the beauty of the place. The staff is really friendly and, above all, makes you feel at home.

22/09/2025: We had a great time at this roadside restaurant, which doesn't look like much at first glance. We were the only women there, along with the waitress (adorable and very helpful, who bent over backwards to find a dish that suited my intolerances), and we could tell the men there were amused to see us, tourists, a little "lost" in this small restaurant full of regulars. The food was delicious, plentiful, and fresh, the atmosphere very rustic and authentic, and the bill surprised us: €21 for two dishes, a huge mixed salad for two people, a beer, a bottle of water, and cutlery. I highly recommend it 🙌🏻

20/09/2025: Historic trattoria in Gello. Excellent for a quick business lunch. Good food, fast service, extensive menu on the legendary blackboard, fair prices, and... What can I say? A classic if you're in the area. A true trattoria. You can tell by the people who have been coming here forever. I've stopped there often over the years. They're always good.

06/09/2025: Recommended by a regular, we were amazed by the quality and unique beauty of this place, right in the center of Volterra. We had lunch in the beautiful dining room downstairs, next to the charming medieval cellar. The food was excellent, with a wide selection; the pici were delicious, and the pizza was also excellent. Service was prompt and friendly.

06/09/2025: Nello's is always a pleasure to visit. Excellent food and fast service are the order of the day. In the summer, you can eat outside, so there's more seating available. In the winter, the space is a bit cramped, but it's always a good idea to book ahead because it's usually quite crowded, a testament to the quality.

16/08/2025: I'd already heard good things about this place, famous, as the name suggests, for its piadinas. Indeed, I must admit that the dough, hand-rolled on the spot, is truly worth it: it's flavorful and has a soft yet crunchy texture. Furthermore, the quality of the ingredients is exceptional. Another plus is the variety of combinations offered, ranging from cured meats and cold cuts to various cuts of meat, fish, vegetables, and even a sweet version. The place also offers a wide selection of burgers, always at fairly reasonable prices. I personally chose a simple yet quality piadina with Parma ham, smoked scamorza, and boscaiola sauce, accompanied by an amazing craft beer, Machete, which I highly recommend. To top it all off, I'd highlight the kindness of the staff and the establishment itself, which I'd describe as clean and welcoming, ideal for those looking for a relaxing meal.
