15/03/2026: We visited in mid-March, on a Sunday for lunch in the enchanting San Miniato. The restaurant is beautiful and bright, with large windows overlooking the splendid valley. The wait staff is fabulous, attentive to every need, always kind and professional. It's really hard to express anything about the dishes because they were all so good, with well-defined yet delicate flavors that combined to create a symphony that is hard to forget. High-quality, seasonal ingredients that showcase the local produce. We tried the land tasting, and our 13-year-old daughter was won over by the bottega with dried tomatoes and guinea fowl, duck, and rabbit ragù. Finally, the chef, a wonderful person with kindness in his eyes, was a pleasure to thank for the wonderful lunch. I recommend going, even more than once, to explore the various menus. It's a place that exudes simple, elegant cordiality.

05/05/2026: The service was very good. The food was good, though the portions weren't very large. It's definitely a tourist restaurant where you can eat well, but I wouldn't expect the Matera experience. We did have a spectacular zucchini risotto, though.

01/05/2026: A place that makes a difference: the dishes, quality, and service are impeccable. The waiter doesn't just take your order and run away, but suggests dishes and portion sizes based on the courses you've requested. So, not only do you save money, but you also enjoy everything without having to leave the last courses on your plate. This is professionalism, hard to find elsewhere. All at a fair and reasonable price. I highly recommend it. Well done!!

22/03/2026: We were there the other night, and the Neapolitan fritto misto was practically raw and undercooked (we told the waiter). The pizza was the same, undercooked and mushy... Obviously, they didn't take a cent off the bill... never mind. It's a shame because until last year, the food was really good!

14/05/2026: Perfect location in the heart of San Miniato with stunning views, authentic Tuscan charm kind staff and an excellent breakfast. The receptionist kindly gave us tips on where to go for dinner and which bottega opened early in the morning. Our room had a large window overlookimg the tower and countryside. Breakfast was very good with a variety of savoury including eggs and sweet. The bed was large and comfortable, but the pillows were too thin.

04/03/2026: Rooms have a medioeval aroma, that could be renovated with a more contemporary flavour, especially in the bathroom. Overall a nice and refreshing stay

19/03/2026: What can I say...for what we spent I expected better, the truffle meat was good but the black truffle (the cheapest one) was dusted... the steak was not cooked like I've seen done elsewhere... the side dish was 4 baked potatoes (cold) the service was very kind... in the end for a starter and steak almost 80 euros per person seems excessive to me...

27/02/2026: We'll definitely be back! The only caveat: €12 for a make-your-own pizza is a bit pricey, and unfortunately, it was almost cold. The beer was delicious, the coal-fired pizza with gorgonzola and pears was excellent and the same price as the regular one, and the atmosphere was relaxed and laid-back...
