07/08/2025: We stopped at Pierottoi that evening quite by chance. After eating so much pasta and pizza, we weren't really in the mood for it anymore... It was actually pretty stupid to go to a pizzeria then. We received very warm service from Antonella, who also spoke a few words of German and took really great care of us. She ultimately recommended Bistecca di Manzo. We were shown the T-bone steak raw beforehand and decided to go for it. And we didn't regret it – an incredibly delicious piece of meat, cooked perfectly medium-rare, with a great flavor and wonderful grilled aromas. I'm really picky about meat, but it was so tender that you could only cut some of it with a fork. The steak was served with roasted potatoes, grilled vegetables, and freshly baked bread from the stone oven. We enjoyed the delicious house wine with it. To finish off the meal, we received a glass of limoncello on the house. Thanks to Antonella for the great service, and thanks to the kitchen for the amazing meal to round off our Italian vacation. We'll be back!

08/09/2025: Excellent wine selection and excellent first courses. The tiramisu is delicious! It takes a while to get there, but once you get there, you feel right at home. The atmosphere is quiet, rustic, and well-kept. Prices are reasonable. Recommended.

The server was quick and courteous, and our meal (bruschetta, spaghetti carbonara, tiramisu) was excellent. You sit sheltered from the weather in this beautiful little town. 👍

03/09/2025: We arrived last night for dinner at Osteria del Manzo without a reservation. The owner welcomed us kindly, immediately securing two seats outside. He was a man whose kindness and friendliness impressed us. The staff and waitresses were friendly, courteous, and professional, and the atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. The food was truly amazing: a beef tartare with an AUTHENTIC flavor and a steak that melted in your mouth! The prices were very fair, in our opinion. An endless selection of wines, including rosé. Real bitters, just the way I like them (Unicum and Braulio). I'll be back every time I'm in Lucca!

27/08/2025: A pleasant setting and a good restaurant specializing in meats/offal with an extensive wine list. The diaphragm was very good, as was the vitello tonnato. Note that the octopus is fried. Preferably eat outside, but reservations are recommended. Overall, good value for money with courteous and pleasant service.

17/08/2025: A great experience, a classic Garfagnana trattoria where you eat well and pay a fair price. The zucchini and mushroom lasagna was excellent. I wanted to highlight the excellent service; despite the crowds, the waiters didn't miss a thing. If I may, the only negative is the bathroom, which, being a one-stop shop, isn't sufficient, and there's always a line. We'll be back. Recommended
