El paso In Lucca

A cowboy themed trattoria specializing in steaks, but this last time 2 in our party of 6 ordered the steak and the rest of us were served our meals and after some time left, and it was another half hour before they ever got their steaks

I didn't give it 5 stars because there is no parking but the staff is excellent.

Honestly, what I ate was good, but not being served all together at a table of 5 with even a 10 minute wait is unpleasant, that said, when the place is full it is difficult to speak, too much confusion.

...but is the pizza one of those frozen ones??? I think so...

I had the Filetto alla crema di tartufo (cooked medium), a house salad, and potato croquettes. Being from America, I have eaten at numerous steak houses all across America, and this was seriously the best steak I have ever eaten. The crema di tartufo was the perfect choice for sauce. The salad, but especially the potato croquettes, were fantastic as well. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly. If you're looking for a fantastic steak, I highly recommend El Paso. You will not be disappointed!

Excellent food despite a mix-up with the booking the owners were excellent they immediately found us accommodation and had a super professional attention I highly recommend

A friend took me there, making a reservation. I had my first zuppa frantoiana: spectacular. We shared a charcuterie board and an excellent steak, truly exquisite, rare, just seared. I'd say the quality/price ratio is excellent; we ate very well. Very friendly staff and fast service. Recommended!

We went to El Paso and had a wonderful time. The meat was excellent quality and cooked to perfection. Being AIC certified, they're super-organized for gluten-free options: I had delicious coccoli (fried pasta)! The tiramisu (gluten-free) was also very good. A special thanks to Chiara for her kindness and helpfulness in serving us. A must-try for those who eat gluten-free. We'll definitely be back!

To put it simply: FANTASTIC! We spent a week on holiday in Lucca and ate there twice for lunch and twice for dinner. Lunch and dinner were very different, but both are absolutely recommendable. Lunch offered a very extensive menu with a great selection at unbeatable value. Dinner featured a larger menu and wonderful dishes. There were five of us, including three children (ages 2, 5, and 8), and we were all thrilled. Every dish was delicious, the location was very inviting, and the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. A definite recommendation for anyone passing through Lucca. Our journey continues tomorrow, but first we have to enjoy lunch there one last time, and it's already on our to-do list for our next Tuscan holiday. Many thanks to the entire El Paso team for the wonderful time!
