02/08/2025: Prima volta da loro a cena in tre, su suggerimento di un’altro chef. Esperienza ottima, locale garbato in darsena, cenato nel patio. Maestoso crudo di pesce, spaghettini alle arselle fresche fa-vo-lo-si, un buon dentice al forno con le olive e patate. Tutto freschissimo e ben presentato. Servizio impeccabile fatto da giovani preparati. Abbiamo chiesto una bottiglia di vino inusuale e la temperatura non era perfetta. Prezzi accettabili in proporzione alla grande qualità. Digestione perfetta. Torneremo

29/09/2025: We thought it was really delicious there. We both had pasta. The staff was very friendly, and we received excellent service, and everyone spoke good English. There was also an English menu. There was a large selection of delicious Italian dishes with excellent ingredients. From the outside, the restaurant doesn't look particularly inviting because it's right on the street, but for us, it's a real insider tip. Unfortunately, we only discovered it towards the end of our vacation.

18/10/2025: The atmosphere is nice and friendly, just as you'd expect from a local trattoria... generous portions and quality ingredients... excellent mushroom pasta... fair price. I recommend it.

12/10/2025: A small restaurant in the village on the mountain. It has a cozy autumnal decor with a fireplace. The staff gave us a warm welcome and even prepared everything themselves. The food was special and uniquely flavorful. Payment by card is accepted. The tiramisu was fantastic.

21/09/2025: Fantastic! We happened to be there just before closing in the afternoon. We received a warm welcome and were given the opportunity to eat something. The bruschetta with mushrooms was a dream. Thank you for your hospitality. We will be back!

13/08/2025: The best gastronomy for miles around. Variety, quality, courtesy. Everything is delicious, from the food to the relationships you build with the staff and the wonderful owners. I've been going there for many years, and the products and attention to detail are always top-notch. You can also order for a dinner at home with lots of guests, and even sit at the lovely tables outside!

06/08/2025: I work a few steps from here and I had never been there, but what a pleasant discovery... excellent food and one thing that left me amazed (positively) was the extreme kindness of the staff, something RARE to find lately.... you are professional people you deserve so much.

20/10/2025: It'll probably be different in the evening (reading the various reviews), but the lunch menu is truly sloppy and embarrassing. Gluey spaghetti carbonara, fried egg pieces, spaghetti all in oil all clumps. A slice of meat half raw and with an unpleasant texture. Fries that taste like fried donut oil. Little attention to the customer when everything is left on the plate without asking why or understanding if something was wrong... but then again, compared to other restaurants that fill up for lunch, this one was unfortunately empty (only 3 tables). No vegetarian options for main courses, nor typical Lucchese dishes. I don't recommend it.

20/10/2025: I'm a vegetarian and I've finally found some great, and not-so-ordinary, alternatives. I'll definitely be back. The mushrooms are excellent!

20/09/2025: Not recommended for those with any kind of intolerance. Zero attention to selection of foods after the first lactose tests, total indifference for celiac disease. The atmosphere is average, but nice. It's a shame.

07/09/2025: At Bar Irene, aperitivo has become a delightful summer evening ritual. A glass of Chardonnay, a carefully crafted cocktail, delicious platters, and a lively atmosphere make you feel at home. But the best part is discovering it in the morning too: at 6 a.m., amidst the still silence of the market, one of the few places still open welcomes you with a hot cappuccino to start your workday off on the right foot. A place that's perfect for every moment of the day.

13/09/2025: We were in this grill restaurant just this evening and we were very happy with both the good food and the kindness of the staff and the owner. The meat and cured meats are FANTASTIC, not to mention the desserts. I RECOMMEND IT TO ALL OF US. WE WILL RETURN TO VIAREGGIO JUST TO COME AND EAT AT YOUR PLACE.

08/09/2025: The appetizers are good, the fillet steak with caramelized onions is excellent, the meat is very tender. When you want to break away from the usual fish dishes, this is worth it.

17/09/2025: Very close to the city center, just steps from the train station and Porta San Pietro. The atmosphere is very friendly and welcoming. A good variety of dishes and excellent value.

14/09/2025: The croissant dough was excellent and very soft but the chocolate was not so good. They are very reasonably priced.

11/09/2025: Top pastry shop, they serve exceptional aperitifs, they serve you a generous platter per person. Very satisfied. I recommend.

22/10/2025: Highly recommended for traditional cuisine and pizza, and for the friendly and helpful staff. A group of friends and I have now become our go-to place for fun and spicy evenings. 🌶🌶🌶 Must try the pizza spietata 😀🫢and of course everything else. 👍

08/10/2025: Wed night, arrived at 8pm, no reservation. They very nicely found us a table for 2. The steak was great, ditto side of roast potatoes. There are very few vegetarian options. A couple of side dishes and a few pizza choices. My phone app said the sound was 68-74db's (quite loud) during our meal. The creme caramel was bland but the terimisu was delightful.
