26/03/2025: This was our four experience at L’Oste Di Lucca. It is one of the most amazing restaurants in Lucca. Vincenzo, our fantastic dinner guide recommended the Florentine steak which was amazing and unforgettable. I was looking forward to this steak for days and it did not disappoint! The presentation was phenomenal and the taste was out of this world. Vincenzo recommended a perfect complementary wine to pair with the steak. Trust me, this is one of the finest dining experiences in Lucca!

05/03/2025: Dinner at the Angel's Inn. The important thing is that you eat well, quality products and above average portions. Vito is a friendly and competent host, the service provided by a professional courteous staff accompanied by the right sympathy. The spaghetti with red mullet is excellent but whatever dish you choose you will fall on your feet😀. We will be back

20/02/2025: Have you ever been served a whole fried shrimp skewered on a licorice stick? You have to chew it for a quarter of an hour and obviously you can't spit it out because you're in a starred restaurant but you feel like Fantozzi at the mega-directors' table. The famous oil ravioli? They are ravioli full of oil. Pasta cooked in potato broth? It tastes like earth. Beef tartare with potato peels on top? But couldn't you have put truffles instead of potato peels? The sweet served in the pizza box? To die of laughter... Everyone was nice and friendly and the evening was pleasant because my wife and I are gifted with self-irony, but the feeling of having been pleasantly perculated is clear

09/02/2025: EXTRAORDINARY! The restaurant is set in a wonderful context adjacent to the walls of Lucca. Unique elegant magical city. A relaxing room with cheerful but not annoying background music. The choice of menu is personal, five, seven, nine courses, with wine pairings or just glasses. We chose the 7-stage route or journey with a glass of wine, asking to omit entrails from the menu. The chef created AMAZING dishes. We were greeted by friendly, cheerful and familiar staff. A gem for me were the choices of serving dishes, the tortelli with oil and parmesan on my grandmother's plate took me back home. All the people who work with chef Tomei really deserve many compliments. Well done everyone, we will definitely be back!

10/03/2025: I was very fortunate to stumble in this quaint town in Tuscany. I stopped in at a local restaurant and was very pleased with my meal. The waitress was very kind to suggest local specialties and a wine pairing to go with my meal. After my meal was prepared and sent out to me, the chef came out to greet me and make sure that I was happy with my food. Overall a wonderful restaurant!

09/03/2025: Truly an excellent and authentic Tuscan tavern, with friendly, competent and highly efficient staff: a very complete choice of local wines and a menu to try everything. I was able to appreciate the surprising black cabbage farinata: Ligurians don't expect "our" farinata (aka cecina), but a wonderful and appetizing soup! The peposo is top notch, but also the egg with tomato (not on the menu) and the pici with various condiments are worth trying. The glass here is not the usual miserable tasting that many other pompous restaurants serve you, so here you really appreciate the wine! In short, the Piccola Enoteca di Montecarlo is actually a truly great Tuscan osteria, one of the best I have been able to try. Congratulations to the chef and the owner: you will see me again soon!

23/03/2025: Very nice and friendly staff that really like doing their job! They speak English fluently. The menus are in Italian and English and if you have questions, the waiter will answer them. The location is less than 2 min away from the Piazza Antelminelli in a small, quiet alley. The food was very delicious and the order didn't take long. If you visit Lucca, you have to go to this restaurant!

01/03/2025: Pizza buonissima, molto particolare l’impasto al carbone vegetale. Super consigliato a chi ha problematiche alimentari come intolleranza al lattosio (ma anche al glutine)… uno dei pochi posti in cui infatti ho potuto gustarmi un ottimo tiramisù.

Daniele è l’incarnazione dell’OSTE…ma non un semplice oste, è la persona che tutti dovrebbero trovare in un luogo aperto al pubblico. Sempre allegro…attento e premuroso…grande conoscitore di vini…cibo e barzellette degne di un premio dedicato. La cucina è casalinga ma i prodotti sono all’altezza di un grande ristorante. C’è molta attenzione alla qualità e in cucina un team di giovin donzelle capeggiate dalla moglie di Daniele….un cuoca che ha la magia nelle mani. Potrei essere di parte facendo questa recensione…e in effetti lo sono! Io quando vengo qui a mangiare tocco il cielo con un dito. Il Soggiorno…..è CASAMIA.
