02/01/2025: We ate at this place a while ago. Nothing to say about the quality of the food, it's excellent. But the service is non-existent, terrible is an understatement. More than an hour of waiting to take the order without even a piece of bread, at least bring appetizers so people wait more willingly. The place is small inside and there is a veranda outside. In the cold the waiters insisted on keeping the door open. I understand that it is convenient for them to take the dishes out onto the veranda but people had to stay dressed and there were also elderly people. Change the waiters or hire more staff, or at least a more experienced one who knows how to organize the work, it doesn't take much. This way you lose customers, at least us for sure

15/12/2024: Osteria Mangiafoco is very popular among locals. There are always a lot of people here. People come for lunch and dinner with families and large companies. Therefore, you need to book a table in advance. For lunch we ordered: two portions of lobster pasta. Dry white wine. Dessert with cottage cheese. Good. The last dessert, whipped cream with black cherries, proved less effective. The menu features almost everything that floats in the sea. Quick preparation and service. Generous and delicious portions. 23/03/2025: We are finishing an exaggerated lunch, based on gnocchetti with seafood ragù, cacciucco and mascarpone with amaretti. Very nice service by Jo, a true Livornese

14/03/2025: Me and My family had a great time. The food tastes amazing, we had six different plates to share, and each had its unique taste! The staff was SUPER friendly and made is feel at home. Chef came to the table and gave us great talk about récipes and italian food. We would definitvely recomend!

12/01/2025: Our experience in this place was pleasant overall, although there were some details that deserve more attention. Starter: The mixed seafood dish was truly excellent. The freshness of the ingredients and the variety of preparations made it a highly satisfying and well-balanced dish. Pizzas: The pizzas, although good in taste, had some defects: they were slightly too charred, with a slightly irregular shape and not particularly large. Furthermore, we would have liked more attention to be paid to our requests: we had asked for two pizzas with a white base, but they arrived with a red base. These are details that, with a little more care, would have made the experience even more pleasant. Glasses: We noticed that some glasses had unpleasant odors. Although it can happen, it is something that should be avoided to ensure a flawless experience. Dessert: Dessert was acceptable, a nice way to end the meal, but not particularly memorable. Conclusion: At the checkout we were pleased to notice a gesture of courtesy applied to the bill, which was appreciated. It's always nice to see attention to the customer. With greater attention to pizzas, orders and details, this place has all the potential to offer a truly excellent experience. Definitely a place worth trying. Additional note for the venue: In pizza, "pistachio cream" is one thing, chopped pistachios are another 😅

17/11/2024: Osteria with entrance directly overlooking the port, very characteristic! We ate outside in the internal street, very pleasant. Excellent dishes from starters to desserts; really everything excellent! Correct price for the dishes consumed, friendly and punctual service! We will definitely be back!

03/11/2024: Bridge of the Saints what do we do? Ah ok there's the boat, the only spectacular one!? Salivoli - Portoferraio. Osteria Ferraja is a guarantee of delicious dishes, from cod to leeks and stewed baby octopus, continuing with stockfish and landing on tuna done in a superlative way. What can I say 8 people happy to stay here..... Congratulations

24/02/2025: A truly characteristic and well-kept place. The ravioli with braised sauce were really good and the raw ones were not bad. The only negative note was the hamburger with meat which wasn't the best (perhaps it was an isolated case of that evening). Good service

31/03/2025: Informal and cheerful atmosphere, very fast service, really good cacciucco. The extras are a bit expensive (punch at €4) and perhaps not worth taking. Positive experience anyway.

30/03/2025: The true traditional Livorno cuisine still lives in this historic trattoria. Fresh ingredients, abundant quantities, exceptional taste. Perfect service and welcoming atmosphere, in the true spirit of Livorno. Obviously the cacciucco is the king of the table and highly recommended.

16/02/2025: Anche no. 7€ di differenza dal fritto di totani e gamberi a quello di paranza con solo 2 e dico 2 pezzetti di baccalà e 3 e dico 3 ghiozzi detto alla livornese anche no, e con più di 1 ora e un quarto di posticipo alla conferma dell'ordine. Da eliminare.

19/02/2025: Cozy place immersed in the very particular historic center, the menu is always updated based on seasonal products, the Chef is very attentive both to the cuisine and to the speed of the peace, meat, game... good connoisseurs will also appreciate the wine list which is really very rich in choice of DOC wineries... the staff very kind and helpful... highly recommended 💯💯💯💯💯

01/03/2025: "Classy" lunch. 50 years after graduating from high school, almost all of us found ourselves in this excellent restaurant where we remembered the past while enjoying delicious local dishes. Being a considerable number of people, we ordered seafood and land dishes and everything was of good quality and well cooked. Since the location of the restaurant is not too close to where I live, it was the first time I came to eat here and, after the positive experience, it will certainly not be the last. Well done.

14/10/2024: Lunch with friends during a weekend in the Bolgheri area. We couldn't have chosen a better place. A spectacular view, excellent food and local wines at very reasonable prices, as well as a remarkable new oil, with the harvesting and pressing activities in progress while we were having lunch. We were a bit noisy, we hope they will welcome us back when we return, because we will definitely stop by again.

17/01/2025: Excellent experience, both for the quality of the food and the service. The menu offers a selection of particular foods, with attention to the smallest details both in terms of the quality of the ingredients and the presentation. The staff are friendly, helpful and always attentive. The prices are a little high, but given the quality of the dishes and the general atmosphere of the place, it's okay. If you are looking for a next level gastronomic experience, this restaurant is definitely a must try!

08/02/2025: Locale delizioso con vista mozzafiato sullo splendido golfo di Baratti che ,in una giornata di pioggia come oggi, offre davvero uno spettacolo suggestivo. Piatti abbondanti, belli da vedere e soprattutto buoni. Ottimo il baccalà al tartufo in cui due prodotti del tutto diversi si uniscono in un mix prelibato di sapori. Personale attento al cliente e cortese. Davvero da provare.
