08/02/2026: An evening with a friend. I returned to the Stazione after a long time, and the experience was truly superb. The service was friendly and attentive to detail. The dishes were excellent and beautifully presented. One standout (though it's hard to rank highly given the deliciousness and quality) was the fried octopus: as they say in the ads, "crispy on the outside and soft on the inside." A delight!

01/02/2026: Stunning place with a magnificent view of the Bolgheri DOC area. We had lunch outside under the pepper tree. Traditional cuisine, exquisite dishes, and very friendly staff at fair prices. 25/12/2025: Family Christmas, excellent lunch. Everything was delicious, but the braised cheek was phenomenal and deserves extra praise. Impeccable service, attentive but never intrusive. Varied wine list with excellent wines. Grandma's chest of drawers is always a guarantee. I only photographed the appetizer because we then got lost in conversation and wine.

12/01/2026: For me, The Butcher Baldacci is a must-see in Livorno. The meat quality is top-notch, and the selection and aging are meticulously maintained down to the smallest detail: you can't go wrong here. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful, and always able to recommend the right cut for your needs. Eating directly from them is an experience: perfectly cooked and authentic flavors. Without a doubt, the best butcher in Livorno, and perhaps even in Tuscany. Highly recommended for those who love properly prepared meat.

05/01/2026: The meat was average... Service: terrible, they brought me the wrong dishes and didn't bother to apologize; in fact, they told us we'd ordered the wrong one. The atmosphere was small, the table was set out "just right," and the bill was exorbitant for what was served. A cross between a butcher's shop and an old-fashioned inn... honestly, it's not worth it; there are better places.

02/03/2026: I hate to leave such reviews, but I can't help it. The place is old and run-down. Not '60s/'70s style... just the same decor as 60+ years ago. Let's start: dirty tablecloth. Hot mixed seafood appetizer drowned in a swill, served on a small plate with mush-like baby octopus and tasteless boiled anchovies, and crunchy polenta that was also drowned. Spaghetti with seafood was "not" a dish, but instead consisted of an unidentifiable mixture of chopped seafood with a few mussels and clams. Mixed grill with scampi and prawns with their intestines peeled off, and raw cuttlefish. Cobwebs and a smear of dust all over the furnishings (bottles, flasks, etc.). A bottle of Vermentino. Clothes immediately thrown into the washing machine, impregnated with kitchen odors. Total: €109 for two. Are you kidding? In response to your reply: I don't intend to start a sterile and pointless diatribe. In our opinion, given the ambiance (not because it's old), the service, the ingredients (quality and workmanship), and the price, the experience was decidedly negative. I won't vent all my disappointment over my phone; this is simply a candid review of our impressions. We just made a mistake, with an excuse, in not leaving immediately upon entering and noticing the strong cooking odor clinging to our clothes (or are we exaggerating?). Kind regards.

17/02/2026: We tried both the pasta dishes and the pizzas and were very pleased with both. The pizzas have a thick, soft crust, with fresh, quality ingredients. The spaghetti with clams was exceptional, a true pleasure. The restaurant isn't very large, but it has an intimate and welcoming atmosphere, in true traditional Italian style. The staff is courteous and always ready to offer advice, making guests feel at ease. A pleasant experience in every way: the food, ambiance, and service contribute to making this restaurant a joy to return to.

15/12/2025: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had dinner at Ristorante Da Oscar to celebrate a truly special occasion: our tenth wedding anniversary, and we couldn't have made a better choice. Da Oscar is undoubtedly one of the most well-known and appreciated seafood restaurants in Livorno, and the experience lived up to its reputation. The restaurant immediately conveys a sense of high quality, both in terms of the ambiance and the impeccable service: attentive, professional, and always friendly, without ever being intrusive. You feel pampered from start to finish. The cuisine is excellent. We started with a trio of seafood appetizers, all of which were of the highest quality, with attention to detail and the freshest ingredients. Before that, we enjoyed a complimentary seafood cream soup, a much-appreciated gesture that demonstrates customer service and a love of hospitality. For my first course, I enjoyed an extraordinary dish: pasta with sea urchin sauce, intense, balanced, and with an authentic seafood flavor, truly memorable. To round out the dinner, desserts: a millefeuille and a cheesecake, both excellent, light, and perfectly balanced. A great added bonus was the option to order everything gluten-free, without sacrificing taste or quality: a fundamental consideration that makes the restaurant even more recommendable. In conclusion, Da Oscar is an absolute guarantee: excellent seafood cuisine, high-level service, attentive customer service, and meticulous attention to detail. A perfect restaurant for both a romantic dinner and special occasions. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended! 👏🍽️🐟

11/12/2025: Excellent food, although the risotto I ordered was a little overcooked. Attentive and helpful staff. The only downside is the noise!!! Incredible.

18/11/2025: Beautiful campsite almost by the sea, just a few minutes away, depending on your pitch location. Everything a camper could need is there: a small, well-stocked shop, a large pool, a children's playground/entertainment, a spa area, etc. Dogs are welcome, there's even a dog shower. We arrived unannounced, and it was very busy at the beginning of September, but they did everything they could to find us a suitable spot (we were traveling in a VW campervan). Fantastic, and thank you so much!

16/11/2025: We had a fantastic time at the Camping Lodge in September. The view was breathtaking! The service at the campsite and restaurant was very friendly. The small wellness area was perfect for cooler days. We felt right at home ;) PS: Another shout-out to the cheerful bike rental guy – great job!

14/01/2026: We went for dinner last night, recommended by the host who rented the apartment to us. Mrs. Roberta welcomed us with a huge smile. We ate divinely: special thanks for the caciucco, truly amazing! Excellent service and fair price. If we're ever passing through, we'll definitely be back.

04/02/2026: Where to begin? There are no words to express our enormous gratitude to Matteo and his entire team. La Canessa has become synonymous with home for us; after celebrating our wedding there, we've returned several times to relive that moment! For our wedding, in coordination with Matteo, we opted for an appetizer buffet, primarily seafood, which our guests enjoyed while we took photos, along with excellent cocktails! Afterward, we continued the lunch with a seafood first course and fried fish! Every guest was delighted with the menu, even those who didn't eat seafood, and the wine pairing. The table settings were also beautiful, simple, and coordinated with our decorations. La Canessa exceeded our every expectation, becoming a magical place where we're always happy to return! We highly recommend La Canessa as a venue for a private event like ours or for a simple visit when you're in the area! Thank you so much everyone!

25/01/2026: Refined food, beautifully presented. Awesome sea view. Attentive and fast service. Excellent golden cod and seafood spaghetti, perfectly cooked and very well seasoned. Dessert: apple pie with custard and a delicious ice cream sphere. Prices are a bit high, but considering the presentation and quality, I'd say they're reasonable. I recommend

14/07/2025: A slightly different way of eating, but definitely highly recommended. While looking for a good restaurant, we came across this one and drove there. If you don't mind eating next to a gas station, you should definitely go here. The restaurant's interior is very tasteful, and the food is excellent. We'll be back on our next trip to Tuscany!

19/10/2025: I'm updating my review for the sake of honesty. I went back a second time three weeks later and had a better experience. The fried food was delicious, as were the stuffed squid. I really appreciate the fact that the bathroom stocks disposable accessories for both women and children (panty liners, diapers, and toilet seat reducers), and the quality/price ratio is definitely excellent. I'm honestly giving it one more star than my previous rating.
