We came here for dinner on Christmas Day by chance and without any expectations. The Christmas menu offered with classic Italian Christmas dishes really impressed us. Whether crostini, tortellini in broth, sensational pasta or the main course with boiled meat and vegetables, everything is extremely excellently prepared. The side dishes such as lentils, mashed potatoes, a fresh pesto-style sauce and various pickled vegetables were so delicious.
Simple dishes are absolutely not meant to be disrespectful, but rather a compliment. Preparing them so lovingly and deliciously is the true art of cooking.
The wines on offer are also particularly noteworthy. Not the usual tourist wines but special and excellent wines. Someone here has thought about it.
A very polite and attentive service rounded off our visit.
Thank you very much and we will definitely come back.

10/10/2023: Un angolo particolare di Marciana marina all'aperto peccato l'odore di bottino come si dice in Toscana. Il piatto più particolare è il pomodoro ripieno di gamberetti su letto di burrata. Gli scampi ,due,ripieni e così il sapore degli scampi non si sente.I primi nella norma.I dolci molto mediocri.Il prezzo un po alto è una trattoria.I vini cari anche perché sulla lista avevamo visto dei prezzi he poi sulla ricevuta sono aumentati di 10 euro a bottiglia. Peccato ,ma a Marciana c'è di meglio

Friendly waiters, very friendly manager. Modern and bright room.
Definitely going back...I saw beautiful mixed fried foods pass by...
And anyway: SUPER PIZZA from the excellent Marietto.
26/03/2024: We went to this restaurant in March. Service a little slow but very good food! Fantastic fried anchovies, delicate octopus with potatoes even if the portion was a little small, delicious spaghetti with anchovies and fennel with lots of seasoning and a generous portion, good stuffed cuttlefish even if there was a little too much bread in the filling (small accident with the toothpick in the cuttlefish which I wasn't warned about, but it can happen).
The staff are really very friendly and we will definitely be back. I advise!

29/12/2023: Aperol 0.2l with ice cubes for 7 euros in the off season is too much. This is going better as you can read in the previous recession. Sorry, but location isn't everything.
Service was good, hence 2 stars
30/09/2023: Just perfect. Everything. The service, the friendly atmosphere behind and in front of the counter. The coffee anyway. And the brioche… heavenly. After that, we couldn't order a cornetto in a bar anywhere in the morning because nothing comes close to the quality of the brioche homemade at Bar la Perla. Italy tastes so wonderfully light in the morning.

Spaghettoni alla Salvia e Bottarga okay
The main course a bust; Instead of local fish fillet with vegetables, we received fried swordfish with a few strips of lettuce and tomatoes. We like to eat fried seafood or fish. This dish consisted of a lot of breading and minimal fish. Our complaint was noted with regret. According to the waiter, compensation should come through dessert. The Quasi Tiramisu was excellent, but all items were completely included in the high bill. Amends? That was the only and hopefully last culinary failure on our Elba trip so far

21/09/2023: We had dinner at this place with the idea of having a good pizza. Unfortunately once it arrived, the pizza was burnt and dry. Furthermore, the seafood pizza my husband ordered had very little fish for the price paid. We had asked for the chips while waiting and instead they even arrived after the pizzas.
Positive note is the staff, very kind in their service.
18/09/2023: Pasta and pizza excellent, steak rather mediocre.
It's very nice to sit in and the service is very good and child-friendly.

05/01/2024: Di passaggio a Marciana una domenica di Novembre i locali aperti non sono moltissimi, in questo posto eravamo stati quasi 10 anni fa ma non lo ricordavo. Buona cucina e pizza con tonno rosso e cipolla di Tropea (ottimo l'impasto indiretto preparato con il metodo della "biga" dal titolare) davvero notevole! Prezzi onesti e locale molto carino, ci torneremo di sicuro!

19/10/2023: Posto molto carino con cibo e vino veramente gustosi. Personale accogliente e gentile, non invadente ma puntuale. Ottima qualità delle materie prime e rapporto qualità-prezzo molto soddisfacente. Ci torneremo di sicuro.
29/09/2023: Risiedo da poco a marciana ed ho provato quasi tutti i ristoranti dai piu famosi ad i meno. Qui e dove ho mangiato meglio. Ottimo l abbinamento alici con pecorino. Disponibili a piccole variazioni sul menu (cosa rara quando gli chef si sentono dei in terra come in altri ristoranti) Ora so dove tornare a cena.
