while looking for a romantic place to have dinner on Elba Island. I must say that the owner was very
friendly from the start during our introduction, and then a surprise upon arrival: a table overlooking the sea, where I watched an incredible sunset.
The staff was very kind and professional, I had a great time!!

30/04/2026: There are several restaurants in the village, all within a few minutes’ walk (mostly via steps) from anywhere in the village. There were several reasons why we, having stayed in the village for a few days, chose this one:
-The location with a view
-A small but excellent selection at an osteria
-Not right down by the road
It was a good choice and we weren’t disappointed: .
We turned up on the spur of the moment without a booking and were warmly welcomed in the evening and shown to a cosy table inside.
The dishes were explained to us in Italian and a little English, and we were given a recommendation for the dish of the day.
Everything we ordered and tasted that day, and on our next visit, was beautifully presented and impeccably prepared.
Accompanied by house wine and a delicious dessert.
What more could you want?
Top class!
It’s particularly worth mentioning that on our second visit we received a 5% discount on the bill, as if we were long-standing customers.
A top recommendation from us for Marciano.

04/05/2026: A delightful experience, both in terms of taste and sociability.
Simple dishes prepared with love and skill, accompanied by a good Elban Ansenica and a pleasant chat with Giorgio, the host.
The space is not overly large, overlooking the sea and, on clear days, a beautiful sunset.
The prices are more than fair for this little gem in the heart of Pomonte.

22/05/2026: After enjoying a never-failing sunset in Sant'Andrea, we stopped at the Sottomarina restaurant and were not disappointed... two appetizers, including truly delicious stuffed mussels, excellent seafood carbonara and grouper-filled ravioli, and finally tiramisu and panna cotta. We'll be back to Nevia and Giancarlo.

10/10/2025: Sunny atmosphere, friendly and professional staff. I love the food, especially the fish. Fresh and, above all, well-cooked. The amatriciana, carbonara gricia, etc., are all missing...a real treat!
09/10/2025: This is the best place. Cappuccino is good, pastries superb, food delicious, drinks. Have been several times and have not had a bad thing.

Excellent services at a fair price.
03/09/2025: Not recommended. We were at the beach today, September 3rd, and wanted to rent a parasol for the afternoon (including two sun loungers). First, there was no rate for just the afternoon (we arrived at 2 pm), and second, the "attendant" wanted a flat rate of €25 for the parasol (even though it's the off-season). In the lovely Morcone beach next door, a parasol costs €15!
Then we paid with Visa, and we had brought small beach chairs for our two kids, which we weren't allowed to use.
Then I wanted to cancel, and strangely enough, cancellation isn't possible when paying by credit card.
In short: the worst service on the entire island, too expensive, parasols placed too close together, constantly monitored…
Better to choose a different beach resort (next door) or even a different beach altogether.
A huge disappointment for us, and our first and last time there.

25/07/2025: Sono stata in questo ristorante diverse volte, che dire…sono tre anni che torniamo e rimaniamo sempre soddisfatti. Il menù è variegato, molti piatti di pesce ma ci sono anche opzioni di carne. La qualità del cibo è ottima e i prezzi sono assolutamente onesti. La vista renderà la vostra permanenza in questo ristorante davvero piacevole, affacciando direttamente sul mare. Un posto dove fare una cena romantica ma non solo, lo consiglio a tutti quelli che passano da procchio!
