24/07/2026: What a fantastic fish restaurant! The food is delicious and beautifully presented; it's a feast for the eyes as well. The service is also very friendly. The owner took plenty of time to explain everything to us in detail and in a way we could easily understand. We felt completely welcome and very well taken care of. We also loved the ambiance. Everything is designed with great attention to detail. We will definitely come back and can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant.

19/07/2026: I went with high expectations. The service was excellent and the location was lovely, and these are the parameters that drive the rating. I ordered spaghetti with clams because that's the main criterion for judging a seafood restaurant. When it arrived, I was very disappointed. The clams were beautiful, but the dish lacked soul and flavor. The addition of basil covered the clams' already lackluster flavor. It was an experience I personally didn't enjoy, considering the quality/price ratio of the evening. It's a shame.

01/06/2026: We were wandering aimlessly around the main square in Vada: dirty street corners, drab shops, a run-down atmosphere... then a friend saw this cute little place and said, "Let's go there." Thank goodness she said so!!! They offer imaginative cocktails, really good, and delicious tapas-style aperitivo food. I recommend the zonzelle, fried vegetables, and cod bites... I stopped eating because I was full, but it would have been nice to try so much more! Well done! Clean, well-kept place, excellent food and drinks, very friendly service. When I return to Vada, I'll definitely stop here.

08/06/2026: A lovely restaurant in Castiglioncello, right next to the train station. The outdoor veranda is lovely. Excellent ingredients, beautifully presented, and the service is excellent. Highly recommended.

10/05/2026: It was recommended to us by friends of friends... but I have to say we had a great time... quick and attentive service with young and lively staff... good wines... the portions are more than adequate and the quality of the fish is excellent... I recommend the fried seafood which is as light as a cloud, you could eat three plates of it, and the tiramisu with cantucci, a real delicacy... I will be back... and they accept dogs so... super.

30/04/2026: I ordered the wild boar ragù and stuffed zucchini, all to go. The best ragù I've ever had, amazing. Everything was excellent. Compliments to the chef!

20/04/2026: I call at the last minute; it's April 20th, my third attempt after two restaurants that were full until 2:30 PM, like it was August 15th. Here, however, I say, "Yes, yes, come on in." And already there, suspicions arise. Too easy. I arrive... and it's a bar. Tables outside, a quick breakfast atmosphere. And inside, I say, "Okay, this is going to end badly." Spoiler: no. It was one of those surprises that also pisses you off, because I haven't eaten this well in a long time. Perfect fried food, flavorful seafood spaghetti, peppered mussels that you can mop up with a slapdash of bread. Everything simple, but done as God intended. The owners are exactly like the place: genuine, down-to-earth, no pretense. They make you feel at home without that ridiculous theatrics they now pass off as "experience." The truth? If this place were on the seafront, it would kick half the restaurants out the window. But maybe it's better this way, it remains a gem for those who still want to discover something good without the neon sign.

12/07/2026: Good food, fairly fast service. Perhaps the atmosphere could be more welcoming and refined. I'd been there several years ago, and the interior was very well-kept. This time, perhaps because of the summer, but you eat outside, in the back, and it's not exactly the best.

12/07/2026: Good food, shame about the service... cutlery thrown on the table, dishes and coffee left haphazardly. The waiters (one in particular) were unwilling to work, and we, the customers, were treated as if we were doing them an injustice by being there. I understand the Saturday night chaos, but service like this can't be justified by anything. Thank the chef, he saved you. You'd better start serving customers with a smile, considering you're in Vada, a seaside town, where most of the annual business is done during these summer months. I repeat, excellent food.

13/04/2026: We entrusted Carlo with the most important day of our lives, and we couldn't have made a better choice. From the very beginning, he proved to be reliable, attentive, and meticulous in organizing our wedding. He cares deeply about his venue, and rightly so. L'Astragalo is a magnificent place! Very well-kept, clean, and charming! Furthermore, his restaurant is one of the best in the area. We'd been there for dinner and had already tried his cuisine... and for our wedding, the food was excellent! Our guests thoroughly enjoyed the aperitif on the upper terrace overlooking the sea. A generous and varied appetizer buffet was served on the terraces below, with the sunset as our backdrop. And dinner was served in the dining room, where we found the table settings meticulously and elegantly, choosing, under his guidance, the silver-rimmed glasses and stemware, one of the theme colors of our wedding. Last but not least, the wedding cake was served on the main terrace, with candles and lights adorning the table. Plus, the venue was exclusively for our use, the best choice... our wedding was a real celebration!!! I really want to thank Carlo, the head waiter, and all the waiters, who were always smiling, discreet, and polite. Thanks to you, our guests were thrilled, and we're incredibly happy because everything couldn't have been better. Thank you, Astragalo!

20/07/2026: Porkeria BBQ is a must-visit for true meat lovers. The quality of the ingredients is excellent, the cooking is precise, and every dish reveals great skill and passion. The meat is flavorful, tender, and prepared with great respect: here, barbecue isn't just a menu item, but a true specialty. An added bonus is Mario, the owner: friendly, helpful, and professional, he welcomes guests warmly and explains his dishes with color and enthusiasm, without being intrusive. You can clearly sense how much he knows and loves his job. A final little tidbit: Mario is also known by his stage name Terence Holler, the flamboyant frontman who achieved considerable international success first with Eldritch and now with his solo career, establishing himself for over thirty years as one of the most talented voices on the Italian rock and progressive metal scene!

20/07/2026: We were kicked out of the table with two 7-year-olds because, according to the owner's calculations, our initial order wasn't profitable enough. The most ridiculous thing? The manager didn't even have the courage to show his face, sending the waitresses to send us away. Unspeakable rudeness and cowardice. We happily left to spend our money elsewhere, in a place where customers are treated like people and not just receipts to be stamped. Highly not recommended.
