The brioche is simply the best I've ever had: soft and fragrant, perfectly balanced, you can immediately taste the quality of the dough and the care taken in its preparation. The great thing is that everything else is of the same high standard; the sweet pastries are all extremely well-crafted. Very friendly and very knowledgeable staff.

22/05/2026: I can only say good about this place. In the street of Sovano, you can sit inside our outside, family owned, the service was amazing, the waiter was very kind and attentive, the food was delicious. I am sad we can not return for a repeat anytime soon.

The food was exquisite, and all our requests were accommodated. The cake was exceptional; our guests are still talking about it. The setting was dreamy; we fell in love with it at first sight. 15/07/2026: The staff were very kind and helpful, and the breakfast was basic but good. Unfortunately, I must point out that the room lacked a refrigerator, which I think is essential in the summer. The lady kindly kept some ice packs and a bottle of water in the freezer for us. However, not being able to drink cold water in the room was a bit of an inconvenience. Otherwise, it's a dated but functional property, convenient for its location.

03/08/2026: We dined at Ottava Rima and were truly thrilled. The restaurant is located in the heart of the charming medieval village of Sorano, and even strolling through the narrow streets gives you a unique atmosphere. The restaurant offers traditional local dishes prepared with local ingredients and a lot of passion. We tried the pepato, a traditional local stew, truly flavorful and tender. The dolmades, revisited with a Maremma twist, were also excellent, an original dish that combines tradition and creativity. To finish, we chose some homemade desserts, all delicious and carefully prepared. The manager is extremely friendly and helpful, conveying all his love for his homeland and Maremma cuisine. An added bonus is the restaurant's charming ancient cellar, adorned with antique amphorae and period objects that recall the area's Etruscan history and make the atmosphere even more charming. The prices are more than fair considering the excellent quality of the ingredients, the sophistication of the dishes, and the overall experience. If you're passing through Sorano, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit: it's not just a place to eat well, but a place to savor true Maremma tradition in an atmosphere steeped in history. Kudos to the manager.

21/05/2026: We were invited to a wedding and the entire hotel was reserved for us. A little dream come true! 😊 The grounds are absolutely beautiful, and the rooms are lovely too. Classic Italian style, some with kitchens. The staff was friendly and helpful, and I would recommend it even with a toddler! Delicious breakfast; our only complaint was that they only offered baby food/soup for our little one. Absolutely recommendable!

14/05/2026: This place saved our day when the first place we booked turned out not so great. We got a room here at short notice and had a lovely stay, nice walks and fantastic meal in the attached restaurant.

04/07/2026: We dined in the pleasant outdoor area and had a great experience: the seafood selection is varied and the attention to detail is evident. Quality ingredients and successful pairings are used. The quality/price ratio is fair. I plan to return before the end of the holidays. Recommended!

03/07/2026: A delightful discovery in the center of Grosseto. Traveling for work, two of us dined here at the hotel's recommendation. The atmosphere (outdoors in our case) was very welcoming, quiet, and pleasant. The service was professional, attentive but never intrusive, and fast (perhaps even too fast: those five minutes of "relaxation" between courses wouldn't have been a bad thing. But those are really just details). The owner was professional and incredibly kind (surprised by the downpour, he even lent us his umbrella to take us home: by the way, Mr. Claudio: THANK YOU!! We left your umbrella at the Airone reception). Dishes: "Michelin-starred" quality, or almost: extremely fresh fish, top-quality ingredients; exceptional recipes (the orecchiette with chard and bottarga and the seafood carbonara were excellent, the calamari with vegetables were excellent), "imaginative" but never overly irrational, and flavors always perfectly balanced. Excellent wine, recommended by the owner. We had a great time, and we'll definitely be back. The bill was very, very fair (€120 for two people, including two appetizers, two first courses, and a second course with wine. Amaro was kindly provided). In all the years I've been ordering it, I've never had the stomachache or stomachaches I've unfortunately had to deal with at other places. This is a sign of the exceptional workmanship and quality of the products. The staff is extremely kind and helpful, always with a smile on their faces! I'd also like to thank the delivery guy, who not only delivers hot and punctual orders, but has always treated us with kindness and courtesy! All the best!
