11/10/2025: A classic Italian country cafe/bar, established way back in 1968 by a visionary woman, a mother, who sought to serve the local community's humble needs back then. Now her legacy has continued by the efforts of her son and daughter, Paolo and Lolita and for nearly 40 years, with their children, the third generation, helping during those busy summer days. . Two, a place for the new members of the community from England and elsewhere, who now call the Abruzzo region as their home, to be welcomed into the community, enjoy the humble, real and authentic hospitality of this Italian family run cafe. A highlight of this place is not only its peaceful surroundings where life slowly passes by, with locals sharing funny jokes, the old boys playing bocce or youth kicking a ball around, it's the view of the surrounding mountains and rolling hills of olive trees and grapevines. Beautiful. The only thing unusual about this place is Paolo's love for his beloved Inter Milan club, which I feared to let him know I support Juventus. But no matter who you support, he and his sister welcome you with open arms and an intoxicating Italian passion. I was afraid to tell him I support Juventus, but no matter who you support, he and his sister will welcome you with open arms and their intoxicating Italian passion.

07/10/2025: Local to our stay in Nocciano, great staff and beers, wines and spirits. Shop on site as well. Recommend for a meet up with family and friends.

06/01/2026: Fantastic first courses with super light pasta, so much so that after the tortelli with white ragù, I also ordered the tagliatelle with wild boar ragù. The owner and host were very friendly and helpful, which completed the experience. A must-try if you're passing through Grosseto. Prices were average, but more than justified by the quality of the first courses. For two, we ordered three first courses, an appetizer, half a liter of wine, and water for a total of €58.

12/03/2026: Magliano in Toscana is in the heart of Maremma Grossetana, and this is a trattoria with long-standing and solid principles: traditional cuisine, good and simple, with appropriate portions. And that's how it has remained, even today. In the center of town, Corso Garibaldi, which means parking your car in one of the many free parking lots and walking for a while, in the ZTL. Terracotta floors, exposed beam ceilings. Courteous and precise service, trattoria prices, that is, cheap, even for wines (and it's becoming an exception, I say this as a wine wholesaler...). The Morellino obviously reigns supreme, but the choice is more than sufficient for the type of place.

12/03/2026: Excellent experience. The appetizers were truly delicious and generous, featuring typical local products. Maremma cuisine was well-prepared and carefully prepared. The restaurant is welcoming and the staff are friendly. If you're passing through Magliano in Toscana, it's definitely worth a stop.

29/10/2025: We had dinner at Da Maria in Giglio Castello — the food was good, fairly average overall, but the price felt a bit too high. For a group meal with one starter, one main course, and one dessert, it came to around €50 per person.

21/09/2025: I won't say how much I spent in total, because I've eaten that amount elsewhere and left satisfied with what I ate. Paying €40 for two risottos where you had to search for the rice grains hidden between a mussel, two shrimp, and four clams seems excessive to me. When you then realize the portion at the next table is larger, you feel cheated. Likewise, €30 for a fried dish that also included cheap vegetables and sardines, considered a low-cost fish, seems excessive. And finally, when I came to pay, I was told they even gave me a discount because they made me wait. I was even too kind to give it two stars.

16/10/2025: We found this place by accident while driving back from Sicily to Poland. We only stayed one night. It's a wonderful place. A true Tuscan atmosphere. For a moment, we even considered staying another day, but after a three-week vacation, homework called. I highly recommend it. It's a beautiful place, a wonderful restaurant, and the staff are incredibly friendly. It definitely exceeded our expectations. ❤️ Thank you for such a short stay. We left this morning. Kisses to the kitties.

11/10/2025: Simply excellent! We had a huge room at a reasonable price, everyone was friendly, our dog was welcome, and the food in the attached restaurant was good. The breakfast was also decent by Italian standards.

01/03/2026: Honest, quality family-run business. The owners' friendliness doesn't hurt either. Despite a near-emergency situation (a tree fell on the premises days before), we ate excellently, were warmly welcomed, and the price was ridiculously low for the location. Highly recommended, and I'll definitely be back.

02/10/2025: A cross between a trattoria and a diner. Local cuisine, simple yet delicious dishes. The tripe is excellent, as is the ribollita.

07/02/2026: I stayed at this hotel with my family from August 30th to September 6th, 2025, on a half-board basis, and we had a wonderful time. The rooms were clean, the food excellent, and the breakfast buffet was generous and fresh every morning. The service was excellent (I'd say competitive with a 4-star hotel), and the staff were courteous and competent, as well as available to answer any questions. Although it feels like a luxury hotel, it actually has a family atmosphere—in Tuscany, we call it "down-to-earth." I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to stay there.

07/12/2025: I dined at this restaurant for an 18th birthday. The party was organized perfectly, down to the smallest detail. The dinner was excellent, featuring quality ingredients.

22/11/2025: A wide selection of quality wines and cocktails, and the appetizers to complement the aperitif have improved. Reasonable prices.

04/12/2025: A wonderful discovery in the small village of Sticciano Scalo. This little restaurant seems to have stepped out of a fairytale. Warm, rustic furnishings, a great atmosphere, authentic flavors, and carefully prepared dishes. Both the dining room and the veranda are beautiful. Frequented by locals in the winter and, of course, tourists in the warmer months. The menu focuses on local recipes and a few Italian classics, both seafood and meat. The chestnut tortelli are delicious, as are the razor clams and anchovy gratin. Excellent value, and the bill is absolutely fair. Highly recommended, one of the best in this part of Maremma.

13/10/2025: A group of six people from the province of Milan are spending a weekend in Tuscany to unplug from the daily grind. A sublime experience, with a quintessential Tuscan atmosphere and delicious traditional dishes. The owner is a real asset to the restaurant, always available to guests who want something a little more. It's a shame it's over 400 km from home, but if we ever get back, a stop is a must. A heartfelt thank you to the couple who run this place.
