We spent nine days in Tuscany and ate dinner at nine different restaurants in different towns – the food here was by far the best. Excellent cuisine, thank you so much!

Found by chance while visiting Sovana on a rainy day in February with friends and looking for a coffee, we ran into a guy who was opening the bistro and kindly let us in since everything around him was closed. Then, given his kindness and friendliness, we decided to return for lunch to try the handmade pici made by him and his mother, which we found to be excellent 👍

A fairly large restaurant on Sovana's main road. A bit chaotic with a large number of seats. Service is quick. The daily specials aren't priced on the chalkboard outside. We ordered creamed pumpkin soup (off-menu, €13, which I thought was too expensive), broccoli and sausage gnocchi (very soft gnocchi, but the sauce was barely noticeable), and acquacotta (good!). With just these dishes and a bottle of water, we paid €44.

Absolutely not to be missed. Delicious dishes, quail egg with truffle... homemade pappardelle with wild boar ragù and cocoa... no, it's really reasonable prices! Well done ✌️💪

11/04/2026: Friendly, calm place, kind, patient staff, fair prices, excellent food: from pizza of all kinds... I often have porcini mushrooms... or Margherita and salami, to Florentine steak, stew with potatoes or artichokes, then mussels in a stew, delicious fried food, super tasty side dishes and everything is excellent: old-fashioned flavors! Then various desserts super yum! I highly recommend Daniele Number One 👍 wonderful, friendly staff, very good food both for lunch and dinner, excellent pizza and snacks. I recommend
09/03/2026: I discovered it by chance and found a trattoria like those of yesteryear. I've eaten there several times and had a great time. I've tried various first courses, meat, and fish dishes. Excellent value. If I'm in the area, I'll stop by again, especially for the very welcoming atmosphere.
